The food here was not bad, but j have had much better. It’s cool if you want something quick and on the go but I wouldn’t go here if you are looking for a good sit down gyro

I work really close to The Gyro Shoppe so it is very convenient for lunch. I have been there several times and the quality has definitely improved in the recent months. I like the Greek salad, the dressing is creamy and rich. When I order the fries they are always crispy and warm, make sure you put the seasoning on them as it does not automatically come with it.

This is a good place to grab a bite to eat in Dublin. The food is great, filling, and affordable. The people treat me nice and the atmosphere is good. Its a shame that they do not serve calamari to. My suggestion is if you’re hungry get the #10 combo I’m a big eater and this fills me up.

Update: I came back because the place is practically within spitting distance from my work. I tried the souvlaki which is beef tenderloin cubes served the same way a gyro is. The meat was not over or under cooked, but lacked any real flavor. The bad part was that almost a quarter to a third of the meat was gristle and inedible. I could have choked on the pieces because they were so large. Most restaurants are there to make money and serve great food. This place is only there for the former, avoid it or you may regret it.

They seriously may have the best Gyro in Columbus… their sauce alone they put on their gyros give them that distinction! Fast service(although you can expect to wait a bit if you go during the lunch rush). Big menu of items to choose from, although I only ever get the Super Gyro(which give you a LOT of meat). The hummus and Romanburger weren’t anything to write home about. If you have a craving for a good gyro, this is the place to go!

I asked for Taziki sauce on the gyros and they put their«special sauce» on which I did not care for. No taziki sauce. Poor customer service. Not recommended.

Most horrible and rude staff… Unprofessional and no concept of hygiene. The manager runs the counter and is very unfriendly and never smiles. I stopped by with a few friends to try the place again, and we were more disappointed than the first time. The pita bread was stale and hard, and there was hardly any meat inside. The fries used to be good here, but they are now too oily, cold or burnt. Not sure what is happening with this place but save your money and go else where for fast Greek food. I do have to mention, in contrast, the original«Gyro shop» on Henderson Road continues to set good standards, and offer good fresh Greek food at reasonable price. The staff is friendly and a pleasure to speak to.

I love Greek food. I was excited to try out a new place today, but I ended up extremely disappointed. I ordered a Chicken Gyro and a side of hummus. The hummus tasted like there was nothing more than chickpeas and a little olive oil. The chicken on the gyro tasted like it was not seasoned. Also, the chicken was a little bit cold on one side and really hot on the other side which led me to believe that the meat is either precooked and heated up or I might have eaten raw chicken. I guess I’ll see soon. I would have given 1-star, but the guy at the counter was really nice.

Resturant was empty… food was ready in less than two minutes. That’s never a good sign. Tasted exactly how I thought it would. Gyro was just okay and the fires were just awful. And here’s the best part. The only person working ignored me when I asked how his day was. And then when he just sets the food on the counter with a blank face I said thank you… nothing in return just silence. Never again will I waste my time or money on this place.

I eat here at least once or twice a month. Just as good if not better than the original on Henderson. Gyros have a good amount of sauce, meat, onions in it and the fries never disappoint. Very affordable lunch option as you can get a mini gyro(plenty for the average consumer) fries and drink for 4.99 or the standard size for 5.99, which I recommend.

Not a good place for dinner, I got refried chips, and a grilled chicken burger with hair in it. Picked up order of around $ 15 n later added nuggets + fries to the order, the second transaction was for $ 4.99 and the receptionist added $ 0.25 to my bill because any credit card transaction below $ 5 costs another $ 0.25. I was charged additional transaction fee over $ 0.01. If given the choice I would have added a soda to avoid this fee. There’s nothing special about this place other than the gyro which is not outstanding either.

The food here is as good as the Henderson location, where we have always gone for gyros and great fresh-cut fries. The lentil soup is not the greatest, but I can overlook it. This location is a little closer to home, so we’ll be back.

Finally got to this place. It’s in an out of the way area for me; not near anything except a post office and my eye doctor. Had a coup and an eye appointment, so I stopped in. And was pleasantly surprised. Service was good. I got my food to go, but the place seemed clean and comfortable for eating in. I got a super gyro– double meat, and almost too much to eat without stuff spilling out. The meat was just right, the veggies were fresh, the pita was warm and tasty. I also had a small hummus, which came with more just-right pita. It was fine but unremarkable. Finally, to get to the coupon limit, I got a couple of pieces of baklava. Tasty, fresh, fine. No idea when I’ll be back that way, and it’s not so great it warrants a big detour. But I’d gladly go back if it were closer, and I bet it’s handy for some of the office parks nearby.

I really, really want to like this place-as I live within walking distance. I was jacked when I heard that a Greek place was coming to my burb, I had visions of the dollar gyros that I bought back in the day lat night at Ohio State that made me feel so warm and happy. This is NOT that place… dried up meat, slimy mounds of long gone bad shredded lettuce, no tomato… just really bad. I ordered and paid for a double meat«super gyro», what I received was a sad little non seasoned bit of unexceptionalism reminiscent of a gyro kit one could purchase at any Kroger’s. Side note: they have good fries-kind of strange. Avoid this place as if it were the plague. I hope that someone eventually opens something worth while in this empty strip mall.

Went yesterday, had the super gyro + fries/coke for $ 7 something. The gyro was VERY good! I was extremely impressed, I even thanked them as I was walking out!!!(It was 3pm — dead). The sauce was delicious and the gyro meat was fantastic and filled with flavor. Now, the fries — were dry and tasteless. They didnt give me any ketchup(nor did I see any available on the tables)… but I was honestly so upset with the fries, I didnt even bother to ask for packets. nothing was saving those things. overall, i liked it. not a 5 star gyro, but worthy of 4!

Just your average gyro hut stuck in the corner of an underdeveloped strip mall. Everything tastes pretty good. I think all of these gyro shops around here get their meat from the same place because it all tastes the same. The fries are your standard skin-on variety. They taste good but not that fresh. My biggest beef with this place is the miserly attitude they have. Ketchup packets are handed out as if they are precious gems. There are no free or even paid cups of water. The soda cups are always filled to the brim with more ice than soda. Maybe this is how they keep the prices reasonable, as you can escape here with a combo meal for under 6 bucks. It still rubs me the wrong way.

My experience with this place… I went in because it is the only thing going in the small strip mall completed right before the economy tanked so I didn’t want it going under because it stood alone, I figured I would give it a try. Ordered the large gyro combo with fried and drink. Gyro– they had taken all the small dried overcooked crumbly bits that had piled up from slicing the meat and piled it in my Gyro and then tried to camoflage it under a few strips of fresh cut meat. it was terrible. Fries-decent but the least appealing greek fries I have had in the area. Soda– don’t know. What I got was an overpriced cup of ice with a splash of soda. Enough to know it was brown soda but not enough to tell if it was the cola I ordered. Never went back and am just surprised it is still open. Go to Greek Express instead.

Maybe I’m spoiled. We have awesome gyros in Pittsburgh. On my gyro scale, this place is somewhere around the«sucks balls» part of the scale. Sorry. It’s harsh. But it’s how I feel. Being in Dublin, and perhaps never having a good chicken gyro, I can see how the average is 4*. It is cheap, however. Things that piss me off here: No free water. I hate the idea of bottled water. It’s stupid & an environmental waste of $$. I appreciate it when it’s an option, for the yuppie folk, but dammit, give me a glass of water, and charge me a $.10 for the glass if you must. When you don’t have free water, it’s because you’re trying to exploit me, and I see through your thinly-veiled plot. The chicken gyro: It’s boiled chicken. Or something to that effect. It’s mushy, it’s dry, it’s not good. Hot sauce: invest in bottles of hot sauce. They have micro-packets, but they’re from under the counter & they’re counted out like it’s a rare commodity. It’s the hot sauce equivalent of a depression-era soup kitchen. Things I like: Price. And, the regular gyro is decent… it’s above«sucks balls» but below«I’d make it out with it when I’m drunk.»

I go to the Gyro Shoppe on Woerner-Temple about once every two months or so –I would go more often since it’s way tasty but I’m more focused on workin’ out. :) Food is excellent. Staff is attentive, friendly and fast. Gyro meat is cooked perfectly and sauce is delicious. Their fry seasoning has my heart. Overall, just a great place to get a gyro. I usually go w/the number 1 combo which is a mini, fries and drink for a little over $ 5 and generally, unless I’m ready to eat my own arm BEFORE I get to work, is plenty of food.
