Treehouse had nice vibes and good coffee. I’m so glad it exists in Duck. The staff is really nice, patient, and helpful. When I went, they were out of a lot of the coffee that I wanted to try, but there was no one in the store so the barista took the time to talk about the other coffees with us. I saw a lot of cool gadgets in the shop, but we just had pour-overs, which were great! Definitely come here when you’re in Duck.

I gave 2 stars because the coffee and food we got was very well done, but the service was horrible here. We came on a Tuesday morning and saw 4 different breakfast selections on the chalkboard. Upon ordering we were told they were out of cheese, granola, fresh fruit, and veggie hummus(why not erase them from the chalkboard?). Ok, so we ordered what we could. My kids had the waffles, I had a bagel with cream cheese, and my wife had a bacon egg sandwich. Service was very slow with only one barista working both coffee and food prep. It took almost 20 mins for our group of 7 to get coffee and food. Sometimes you get a good insight on how a place operates not only busy, but also on an offseason slow day such as this. I recommend some of the other places in Duck to get a cup of morning coffee.

This is a legit coffee shop for anybody who knows anything about coffee. I went there twice a day while we were staying in Duck, NC. I typically carry my french press and/or my portable espresso machine with me when I go on vacation. Once I Unilocaled and saw all of the positive reviews and that they serve Counter Culture coffee — I left my portable coffee equipment at home. I was right, this place is very solid and staff is good peoples. Logan if you are reading this review, thanks again!

Treehouse Coffee puts all of the other coffee shops in Duck to shame. Gourmet coffee and teas, homemade treats, and an overall vibe that feels artesian and artistic. We popped in here one morning to get some work done while on vacation(sucks) and ended up sitting in here for a few hours drinking coffee after coffee eating a slew of delectable treats(delightful). Definitely one of the most memorable places we’ve visited on this trip. Employees are knowledgeable and personable. Really, no complaints here. Great little spot.

Coffee was great, husband and I both got lattes that were expertly prepared. Service was laid-back but friendly. My only wish is that their food offerings were a little more varied. We each had a bacon egg and cheese that was very good, but some non-egg-based or more creative breakfast sandwiches or pastries would be great. The shopping center itself is a little labyrinthine so it can be a little hard to find, but just keep following the signs and you’ll get there.

Wow! Total Yumosity! Foraged shrooms over polenta with a fried egg & an Americano. Awesome little shop off the main drag in Duck. Very friendly service and the setting is fantabulous. Little patio area in the middle of the shop with lots of table, a gazebo and tree filtered sunshine.

Have you ever heard of «Pour Over Coffee»? No? Well, neither have I. The process of making it is fascinating. First, you choose your coffee bean. Then they grind it. A coffee filter is placed into this uniquely designed individual mugs with a hole at the bottom. Your freshly ground coffee goes in there and as the hot water is being Poured into that mug, a little coffee pot waits underneath it and collects this delicate, smooth tasting coffee. Now, the cold brew is even more amusing to watch, as the chilled water drips into cylinders of ground coffee and flows through coiled glass and finally into a glass coffee pot like a chemistry lab project. I appreciate the charm and cheerful energy of our barista(Jess) that day who showed us what an excellent coffee is like.

Look for the Scarborough Faire sign on the street. Follow the walk through the tree house. There are so many great shops here. It’s a magical place, really, and a great place to get out of the sun. When I came upon The Treehouse Coffee, Co. I knew I stumbled upon something special. A place to get real coffee! Cool, hip vibe. Gorgeous fireplace mantel. The waffles looked delicious. Cold brewed iced coffee was fantastic. Host at the counter was very pleasant and informative. I will miss this place when we leave Duck!

This is the best coffee in Duck, and they also make some great breakfast sandwiches! Give it a try, it’s just as quick to get in and out of as the other two spots(Cottage and Cravings) but you have to know where it is. Friendly and they take their coffee seriously. If you’re going to enjoy your latte there get it in a «for here» cup and enjoy it in a real cup instead of paper.

We needed a quick breakfast and stopped in this small little café. The host/cashier was extremely unfriendly and seemed bothered by our presence. We gave him our drink and food order and he told us to «hold on» and«just give me the food order first». After which he rang us up and we asked what about the coffee? He replied with a big huff and said oh you wanted that too?!! Um… yes. My wife got a parfait which consisted of approximately ¼ cup of yogurt, a tablespoon each of granola and honey, and about a 1⁄3 cup blueberries and strawberries on top. $ 6 for that. $ 6!!! And we asked for it to dine in and they gave it to us to go. Fine, I couldn’t wait to get out of there anyway. Avoid this place.

This place is awesome! It literally looks like its in a little tree house in the shopping plaza in Duck! The main owner(think he was the owner) is SUPER nice and friendly. You can really taste the quality in the coffee! We ordered capuccino’s, regular coffees, and a fruit and granola parfait and and iced tea — can’t say one bad thing. This place *unlike SO many in Duck* KNOWS how to brew an iced tea!!! Do yourself a favor and enjoy some time here when you’re not on the beaches. it is a bit small with limited seating but they have some seats outside and its nice and shaded. !

Top Notch. Great coffee, with authenticity. No giant lattes, but superb coffee choices and ridiculous iced coffee. They cold brew all day long and serve the cold brew from a nitrogen tap! The food is phenomenal. Can’t go wrong. Staff is very nice.

Treehouse Coffee Co. Is tucked away in a cozy little plaza in Duck. The décor is trendy and the cashier was welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was not as positive as other reviewers. Our order was sent to the cook incorrectly and, as a result, we had to wait 10 minutes for one of the breakfast sandwiches. Other orders were sent out before the cook corrected ours, making it a frustrating experience. The food itself was mediocre. The Treehouse Toast consists of egg, avocado, and burrata cheese. Mint was found in the sandwich, which made it taste very odd. We’re not sure if mint is supposed to be in the sandwich; I’m hoping this was a mistake. We also ordered bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on an English muffin. They were bland. The drinks, however, were great. I highly recommend the Breve and hot cocoa. Both were equally delicious and bumped my review to 2 stars. I will not be returning to Treehouse Coffee Co. After a mistake(made by Treehouse) that wasn’t prioritized and dull sandwiches, I’m sure I can find a restaurant will provide a better experience.

Best coffee on the island bar none! Not only do they serve Counter Culture Coffee(one of the best importers and roasters in the country, and NC local) but the barristas and staff are knowledgeable and skilled. We ordered a Kenyan pour over with an espresso and a cold brewed ice coffee. The espresso was fantastic: bright, clean and served with club soda. The pour over was one of the best I have had in a while. The cold brew was great and get this, they literally have it «on tap». They brew it constantly and serve it up draught style. They also have decent breakfast options!

All I can do is echo pretty much everyone else: fantastic place, fantastic coffee(my GF got the cold brew, I got a vanilla latte) and a super friendly and amazing staff. They serve quality Counter Culture coffees, a real proper cold brew for their iced coffee, and the latte I had was honestly one of the best i’ve had. The foam was exceptionally creamy, delicious… Honestly it was great. Food was also good, basic ingredients but carried out well. Bacon egg and cheese on a bagel was just a good, solid basic sandwich but with a little extra something. Maybe the bagel? Maybe Larry in the kitchen? Hard to say. He’s a trip too Btw. Great guy. I had the Liege Waffle, which is kind of like a more dense, more savory version than your normal everyday waffle. It’s got a delicious sugar crust and with a little bit of maple syrup it’s absolutely satisfying. I ate it hand held, almost like a pastry. Fantastic place.

Great coffee shop! They have a super cool cold brew setup that they put on a nitro keg! Mmmmm. It will change you’re life. Counter Culture drip coffee is great. They have a small food selection for a breakfast sandwich in the AM that are good. We met the owner on our trip down for a wedding — awesome guy! Will definitely be back to support this little gem next time we are in town.

What a great place! Wonderful coffee and delicious food… we had an English muffin with bacon, egg & cheese and house-made granola with yogurt and fresh fruit. Both were fantastic! A friend tried the cold brewed coffee and really enjoyed it. The décor and atmosphere are pleasant and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

Quaint little coffee shop! Wonderful down to earth atmosphere. Had the bagel breakfast sandwich while my wife had the English muffin breakfast sandwich. Sandwiches came with fresh fruit. Sandwiches were tasty and coffee was good. They were both prepared and presented well. We’d definitely come back!

The greatest asset of this coffee shop is that they are trying to be a coffee shop and not a tourist shop that also sells coffee. I have been to far too many coffee shops in the Outer Banks that feel more like stores to sell toys and knick knacks. It was refreshing to find a coffee shop that has a serious take on the coffee shop experience. My usual drink is the Americano. It tastes a little more bright than what I’m used to. I’m interested in their choice of beans for espresso and if they’ve ever tried out different sources.
