Nothing particularly redeeming about this place, even after sending back the not so fresh harvest fresh panini which tasted like it had been in a lunch bag with a banana. Not that we found any other food or service in all of the airport or the rest of DC to write home about. If you must eat at IAD, go for Eat DC-3. Pretty good variety of unique hot dogs at a good price.

How hard is it to get fresh fruit in the nation’s Capitol? I ordered a smoothie this morning hoping to start my day off right, but first realized when I saw the syrup dripping off the spoon as the strawberries were ladled into the blender that I was making the wrong choice. My stomach was upset after two sips and I chucked the rest. What a waste! Next time I will hit the news stand for a water.

Had the Cuban Panini. Gross. It was pre wrapped in cling wrap and slapped on the grill. Oily and soggy. Could not eat it honestly. There seems to be no good food in this Godforsaken airport! I’m packing a lunch box lol.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. All the sandwiches are pre-made, sitting in Saran Wrap somewhere in the back kitchen area. The gentleman who brought my panini out ripped it out of its clear wrapping with his bare hands, and tossed it onto a dated and dirty looking panini press. Once in the press, I saw that a good portion of the bread was stuck to the press. Upon realizing so, the employee quickly threw the«panini» into a clear container, with the side w the giant chunk missing face down so I couldn’t see. Repulsed by their lack of effort/care.

I have a lot of time before my flight so why not catch up on reviews. I’m not the biggest fan of airport food and I usually don’t have high expectations for them but I should have looked at the reviews. Like what most other reviewers have stated, their sandwiches and wraps are certainly not fresh at all. I watched as the woman went into the kitchen and brought out a premade sandwich and then pop it onto the panini press. Like I stated, airport food is usually subpar but if I’m going to pay $ 8 for a $ 4 sandwich I would hope that it would taste a little better. Got the Turkey Chipotle — can’t really taste the chipotle, avocados don’t look to fresh and the worst part was the piece of paper stuck in my sandwich that I a bit into. Not pleasant.

Two star is what this place is worth. It is in the airport, so I don’t have high expectation. I looked at the menu and they offer fresh made wrap. So I ordered a chicken fajita wrap. Guess what? The guy just went inside and grabbed a wrap which is clearly not fresh made to order. If it is not fresh made, don’t put it on the menu. I can order something else. This is false advertisement. Speaking of the food, it is about average, I can still eat the wrap. However, next time if I am here, I probably will still get something to go. This is the only healthy option nearby. There are typical greasy American Chinese, five guys, aunt annie next to this place. That’s all you can get. Or go further and eat your standard chipotle.

Green leaf is right inside Concourse B of the Dulles Airport. There are a lot of other great places to eat nearby, like Five Guys and Chipotle, but I wanted to eat something on the healthier side. I got one of their«make your own salads» where you choose a base(mixed greens or romaine) and add toppings for extra money. Overall the salad was ok – I have had better for cheaper. The vegetables didn’t feel super fresh and I finished my salad still feeling a little hungry. Honestly, if you want to eat healthy this may be your own option, but it may be worth it to try the healthier options at other restaurants. I was the only one there, so unfortunately I can’t say too much about the service, but if you read the Unilocal reviews below, it looks like the people who work here are great! I got my salad in a pretty timely manner, so if its empty its a good place to stop by if you’re in a rush between flights.

I had the Thai wrap. It is 7.99 $ and it is not freshly made Yes, it was very fast, but barely eatable. The wrap was soggy, and tasted odd. Absolutely don’t recommend. Dulles, please replace with a simple concept.

The only healthy option by my gate was this salad place. Pretty mediocre! Field greens weren’t bad. But the accompaniments were weird! The edamame were an anemic green, olives and carrots were dried out, and the banana peppers were awful. And all for the price of $ 17(water inc). No other protein other than olives & edamame.

Wish I could give this –5 stars. Absolutely garbage food. My breakfast platter was very bad. Not fresh, looked like they made it 3 days ago. But that did not compare to the rock hard muffin my gf ordered. When she took it back, the manager didn’t even apologize or acknowledge, but proceeded to begin touching all of the other muffins to determine level of «freshness.» He probably then realized he has an awful shop. He then exchanged the rock muffin for a bagel without any cream cheese or butter etc. all in all just the pits. Do yourself a favor and go to the bakery/coffee shop next door.

This place is horrible. Please don’t make the same mistake I did by eating here. If you want breakfast, go to five guys, they have breakfast sandwiches. The smoothies are insanely sweet(likely mostly high fructose corn syrup) The croissant sandwich consisted of the attendant grabbing a croissant, sticking it in a plastic container, scooping on scrambled eggs that had been sitting around for who knows how long, adding cheese, and sticking it all in the microwave. I’m pretty sure the container is not microwave safe.

Horrible. Ordered a sausage croissant because the sign said fresh. The lady picks up the croissant and sausage, puts it in a clear plastic container, and pops it in the microwave, and continues chatting with her coworker. Are you for real?! I’m pretty sure that’s a HEALTHCODEVIOLATION. Lady — you just put a disposable plastic container in the microwave. Twice! NEVERORDERINGFROMTHISPLACEAGAIN.

The paninis are mostly bread, very little meat or vegetables. Their salad choices are pathetic, there are only a couple vegetables to choose from. Also, they have 8 or so choices for sugary teas, but not a single unsweetened tea. Next time I’m in dulles I’ll be eating elsewhere.

Wish they had a negative 1 because the«wrappers» here are truly horrendous. Soggy wrapper, previously frozen lettuce and chicken that tastes like… well nothing really, just like bad previously frozen chicken. Gnaw on your hand before getting a wrap from this crap hole. They should be ashamed.

Don’t waste your money on breakfast items here. Awful, just awful, food. The bacon was practically raw. Everything was cold. The cheese in the eggs isn’t cheese at all. It’s a cold slice of cheese food dropped on top of cold eggs.

No matter how polite your service is, you aren’t going to get good reviews if you don’t deliver as promised. Looking for a healthy option at the airport, I naturally gravitated here vs. other nearby options like Five Guys. They advertised a «fresh made» salad and had several«special» salads to choose from. But when I asked for one of the salads advertised, I was told that they didn’t have them anymore and directed me to a paltry selection of pre-made salads. The options were rather boring, and after settling on a greek salad which came with a balsamic vinegrette, I asked if I could get an extra dressing. «Sure, what would you like?» Then I make a selection from the advertised low-fat dressings available. «Sorry, we don’t have that one» «What dressings do you have?» I was then pointed to their little plastic dressing bottles, with about half the selection as advertised, and with only 2 low-fat selections — honey mustard and Italian. UGH. I hate honey mustard and the low-fat Italian was nasty. They earn 2 starts only because the greens, cheese, and olives in the salad were all good quality, but there are better options to be found at Dulles, even for those looking to eat on the lighter/healthy side.

Are you a fan of juices and homemade smoothies? Or are you addicted to making them yourself, like I am? Well, for the very first time, I’ve found a crazy fast smoothie joint that does it better than even I can — Bananas(part of Green Leaf) in Dulles Airport! This morning was my third experience at Bananas, and I can easily say that as I was walking away from the counter taking the first step of my smoothie, I felt like I had actually been better prepared this morning and made it myself. How many places can you truly say that about? Not very — especially at airports — where more of their food is of the gluttonous fast food variety than anything healthy. Much like the frozen yogurt spots(Pinkberry, Red Mango, Yogiberry, etc.) there is a small area to the right of the counter dedicated to fresh fruit. You can pick one of their pre-designated options for your smoothie, or you can add other fruit to it from the bar, or completely customize your own concoction. So far, I have tried their Pina Colada, Mango, and Strawberry Banana smoothies, and am obsessed with all three. While the Pina Colada one is more fun, the Mango and Strawberry Banana smoothies actually taste like real fruit — because they are made from real fruit! I’m glad someone finally figured this out! While I have yet to try their other breakfast items, the gentleman in front of me mentioned that he is a frequent traveler who comes by every time he is at Dulles because their hot breakfast food is the only one in the airport not laden with grease, and he opened his container to show me, and it looked pretty darn tasty! I will have to give it a try next time I’m at Dulles, but in the meantime, make sure you grab a smoothie before your next flight! Enjoy the noms!
