Marshalls

AWFUL. Worst customer service EVER. Was reminded at least 5 times that they were closing at 930. It was 9. Also was told if the lights go off its not my fault just know you’re taking too long.

They have a good selection of clothing but definitely need to work on improving their staff. I hardly can see anyone on the floor when I need help with certain items I want to purchase.
The good part is they have brand names for affordable price, that is what keeps me going back. It is still better organized than other places but still needs more work.

Went back today. The store seemed improved since my previous visit, 6 months ago. No more creepy vibe. Very clean and spacious with friendly employees. They had a huge selection of exercise/​workout clothes along with with plenty of other clothes, shoes, and home goods. I still think they need more misses dresses though.

We went in and saw lots of perfumes and colognes. I long for the old days when I could smell them. The packaging now prevents this:(I wrote down lots of names and intend to go to the dept store and smell them and read about them on

. There were quite a few «regular» ppl in here. Luis was able to strike up some conversations w/​a few ppl. They had really pretty stockings from Italy in small and medium sizes, but the L/​XL sizes were either sold out or never available. The housewares were okay. There were a few strange looking ppl who came down aisles as i looked at items. Luis spied a Lodge griddle. It was the only one. We bought it and have enjoyed using it especially since my daughter does not have any iron skillets. It was only $ 11.99. We made cheeseburgers w/​diced shallots and habeneros last night. I got a box of pretty bubble gum there. The pieces of gum look like different pieces of fruit and it was only $ 2.00. The pieces are so beautiful. They look like watermelons, lemons, grapes, raspberries, oranges, and limes. The colors are so stunning and attractive, but each piece tastes the same:(Luis got (2) Michael Jordan knitted beanies. They really look handsome on him. They rang up children’s ware, but knitted caps stretch to fit anyone. They were $ 5.99 and $ 6.99. I also got (2) teeny tiny Pyrex bowls w/​lids for my daughter. They are 2 cup size. One is round and has a vented lid w/​snap tab. This is such a unique lid for Pyrex. The other is deep and rectangular. It looks like it would be the perfect fit for a piece of lasagna. I have been keeping (2) habeneros and half a granny smith apple in it for easy access. last night i used it for (2) small hamburgers that we had left over for dinner. There was another one at Marshall’s. I just may go buy that one too. They are $ 4.99 each. I just noticed on my bill that North Carolina tax is only 6.750% compared to our 8.00% tax in Texas, but they pay state taxes as well and we, Texans don’t.
I did have (2) ghetto experiences while shopping here. Luis and I were on the last row back in the clearance hand towels and wash clothes. Some odd looking lady w/​an imitation Luis bag came really close to me while shopping and the reason I mention this is b/​c she sat her bag down between Luis and I and commenced to look at the items. We quickly exited since nothing seemed too fabulous on that aisle anyway.
Prior to go checking out I spied a restroom in the front of the store. I got in line behind another lady since there was only one stall. Shortly after the lady in front of me entered the bathroom, and i am dancing from side to side, a lady comes into the store and attempts to cut in front of me even after I told her that I was in line for the restroom. She reeked of liquor and had just run in off the street. She had not even been shopping there. She complimented me on my hair which is a short weave and I had not given it any special attention beyond a cheap brush? I literally had to push into the restroom while the previous lady exited b/​c the newcomer refused to stand behind me in line? This was our second store. We had just spent a considerable amount of time in Tuesday Morning and we were headed to Walmart next.

I love this Marshall’s! It’s where I do most of my shopping nowadays. I’m a shoe fanatic and I can always find great brand name styles for super cheap. I prefer this location to most other Marshall’s because they usully have my size and is pretty organized. I hate having to sift through racks and I appreciate that they have everything well sorted.
