Tried their chicken wings for the first time at a party and everyone loved them so much we came to the restaurant for more… We ordered 100 wings for ~$ 50…so like 50c per wing. AMAZING deal. Better than bdubs and bojangles which is right down the street. Props to the owners for not freaking out when we told them we were dining in. They told us it would take about 20 min, which is very reasonable for such a large order. When the wings came out, they were piping hot. Literally just out of the fryer. It hurt to bite into them, but they were so juicy and tasted sooo good we all just tolerated the pain. The breading on them isn’t specially seasoned or anything but something about it was really addicting. Also just want to reiterate how JUICY the chicken was. I tried to take a picture of the juice oozing out from these wings, but something like that isn’t meant to be captured on camera. It’s meant to be captured in your mouth, dripping down the sides of your chin. Why not 5 stars? Well, I heard that the rest of the menu here is below average. Couple of the people in my group did order a dish here, but none of them were particularly crazy about their food… exactly what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant called Ping Pong.

Used to go here a lot since a few colleagues were pretty into it. Cheap food, but you get what you pay for. The meat is mostly breading and fat. The rice doesn’t seem fresh and the rice maker looked dirty when I went. Have tried

I was really hungry on my lunch break today. Couldn’t bring myself to eat much of my lunch. It wasn’t good. Pros: Cheap. 3 items from the steam table was around $ 6.50. You get a lot of food Cons: Flavorless lo mein noodles, bland over breaded slimy General Tsao’s chicken. Soggy vegetables with absolutely no crunch.

I Love Chinese Food the shrimp fried rice is excellent here and so are the shrimp lo mien and house lo mien. I’ve been coming back since my bf introduced me to it. Never Dissapointed!!, I’m not big on the chicken like sesame, general, orange, etc. But they are good too and egg rolls are perfect. Super nice delivery guy!

I eat here at least once a week. I often get something from the healthy/steamed portion of the menu but will change up for special occasions or comfort food. The prices and portions are great! This is typical Chinese cuisine you’d expect in America. If you want affordable and good, then this is your place. Lunch is always busy and has a buffet. I recommend ordering from the menu to get the real experience of what the cooks can do because lunch is rushed being in a high traffic area and the buffet is limited to an otherwise very large selection of food. The staff is great! Delivery is offered as well.

Ping Pong is what you can do with their teriyaki chicken. It has a good bounce due to being so rubbery. This place is not good. Being where it is I certainly expected more. You order in line and pay. There is ample seating and the place was reasonably clean. I hit them at high noon so the food would be fresh. The noodles were the best part of the meal. General Tso’s chicken was soggy and watery in sauce. Teriyaki chicken was some nasty stuff. I couldnt even eat it. Rubbery and boy did this stuff taste strange. I’m not sure it was actually chicken. As a side I got an egg roll and that thing was super greasy, not to mention over cooked. The price was good and they gave me a bunch of food but it wasnt worth eating. This is some of the worst chinese I have had. I saw them fixing to go orders out of the serving line, so I am sure it was no better. If the chef is a martial arts expert then he needs to return to his former life, cause this one of cooking is definitely not his calling. The ckick processing payment was constantly shouting to the cook and yacking to whoever was calling in food to go. Just a constant stream of psychobabble for the entire time I was in there. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. I cant imagine any one of them being worse.

Okay for price, not more. We came a little late for lunch(about 2:30) so perhaps the selection and freshness was below average. In general, you pick and chose the ready food in front of you. If you are in a hurry this is perhaps a good place. The portions are big.

Because I travel for work, I rarely order Chinese takeout because it’s always a hit or miss. This was a hit. I ordered Mongolian Beef and a side of crab Rangoon. The woman who took my order was so kind. I love that. The man who delivered my food, just as kind. I was already off to a good start. The food wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was worth every penny. It was hot, portions were large & the crab Rangoon was the BESTPART! I dont know if it’s imitation crab or not, because there were many other flavors. I loved them!

Overall: Delicious, cheap, chinese take-out food. Delivery guy is nice. I’ve actually never been in the restaurant but my co-workers & friends have been inside multiple times and they like the place. I usually always get delivery on weeknights/weekends so that’s what I’m going to base my experience off of. To the person who got the rude delivery guy, he must be long gone now. The guy who delivered my food, mind you I’ve gotten delivery around 4 times already by the same guy, he’s nice and friendly and very prompt and quick with delivery. Probably one of the nicest delivery guys I’ve ever dealt with in my life to be honest. To be honest in regards to the previous review, if you’re taking your time with picking up your delivery during lunch, from a business standpoint you have to remember lunch time is PRIME making money for these guys. In regards to the food, it’s your typical chinese take-out food. It’s quick, fast, fatty, and delicious. Everything I’ve gotten on the menu has come out great so far so you can’t really go wrong with whatever is your favorite dish. Overall, I’ll definitely keep ordering from this place and eventually make it to the restaurant itself.

I have been here several times over the past few years and have always had very positive experiences. Very friendly staff. The food is really good and the prices are great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for inexpensive Chinese food for lunch or dinner.

The worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The woman on the phone was really nice so I had high hopes. The sweet and sour chicken is actually fried chicken fingers and comes with a side of sweet and sour sauce. It was absolutely terrible. It was equally as bad as the crab rangoon, which were extremely over-fried. I will never eat here again.

First was a little upset that my half rice half noddles was considered a side when the plate comes with either. Second, You pay for a water cup… The general tso chicken was very bready and teriyaki wasn’t the best flavor. My favorite part was the few good pieces I was able to salvage from the general chicken and the fried rice-noodles were bland. It could have been a bad batch or just bad experience. It was cheap for a lot of food. Possibly would try again.

Got the Teriyaki chicken and thought it was good. Huge portions for the $$ spent. In my opinion, the food was better than most cheap Chinese food, but I have only tried one dish from here. Will definitely go back when I’ m back in the area. Most of the reviews are accurate about the price, décor etc.

Ping Pong is a regular lunch destination for me during the work week. The food is the standard American Chinese fare. It’s nothing special on the décor side of the coin either. However, the dishes are inexpensive, the portion sizes are large and it’s entertaining. Let me explain. If your’e like me, then no Chinese restaurant seems complete without a loud animated conversation in Mandarin taking place in the background. The spunky firecracker running the register with the phone to her ear while she handles customers in line, takes an order on the phone(which invariably sounds like one side of a prank phone call — «No! We’re at 5400. Not 5004!» — is almost inevitably engaged in a hotly contested debate with the vaguely crusty older cook about whether or not Lo Mein is a vegetable or something equally mysterious yet imminently important. The cook looks like he’s lived a full and interesting life. Perhaps he’s the sole heir to a once lost school of ancient fighting techniques but, now works in this restaurant because he swore never to fight again after that trouble back home. If he ever sees the local bully picking on you, he just might teach you though. You can be sure you’d learn several important life lessons and even more about yourself in the just a handful of, 80s music montage’d weeks of unconventional training. My mental wanderings aside, Ping Pong is a quick, affordable stop during the RTP lunch hour and, frankly, that’s special enough to warrant putting Ping Pong high on my lunch-time list.

Ah Ping Pong. One of my favorite lunch spots. Fast, cheap, HUGE portions, and although it isn’t the best Chinese I’ve had, it’s still pretty good. The flavor has gotten somewhat blander recently, however, but I toss a couple of tablespoons of hot pepper sauce on and it’s all good. My favorites are the mixed veggies and shrimp, lo mein, chicken and shrimp with pepper, beef and broccoli and the Ping Pong chicken. Their Singapore noodle is good too. They also have the standard extras like chicken wings, egg rolls, crab rangoon, etc. Egg drop soup is good, especially with extra crispy noodles. The staff is great, and they remember their regulars. If I don’t come in for lunch for a few weeks they ask me where I’ve been. It’s amusing to hear the owner lady yelling in Chinese at the kitchen and the arguments they get into. The hot bar is only during lunch hours. For dinner you’ll have to order off the menu, but they have plenty to choose from, they are fast and the food is always fresh and hot. And they deliver to a limited area. Did I mention they have HUGE portions?

This place is pretty raunchy. Teriyaki chicken was full of gristle and other gnarly parts. Shrimp with mixed veg. was better, but contained fake crab meat for no reason. One time I came in at 2PM and there were like 2 items left looking dried out and sad. Will fill you up for cheap though.

Went for lunch and got what was supposed to be Kong Pao chicken. She said it was and I did ask for that, but what they serve is not Kong Pao. I was disappointed in the meal though the serving size was big. 1st no peanuts — and peas are no substitute for peanuts. 2nd — no crunch veggies like celery and veggies that should be crunchy/crisp are not. It has zucchini, yellow squash, broccoli stalks(what?), tiny bit of green bell pepper(should be more) and peas. 3rd — not spicy, flavorless. At least they had brown rice and the wonton soup was good. Service was very friendly.

You’ll be fine with dining here as long as you understand that Ping Pong Café is like one of the Chinese restaurants that you’d find in a mall food court. The food is cheap and you get a lot for your money. During lunch, they have 1, 2, and 3 item combos served with choice of rice or lo mein. I had the Chicken & Broccoli and Sesame Chicken and it was fine(not great but good for the money).

Friendly service. Didn’t have to wait for our food too long. Teriyaki combination was good. Portions were huge. We had egg drop soup(ok) and chicken chop suey umm. not as great as i’ve had a little bland.

Friendly counter service. HUGE portions. Typical chinese food, but you get a lot of variety. Instead of rice, you can get steamed veggies. They have brown rice(+$ 0.50) If you want something they don’t have in the pre-made trays, they’ll make it for you. $ 5.95 for 3 items. They also have a self-serve«bar» of fortune cookies, napkins, packaged sauces, and utensils. Most carry out chinese restaurants don’t have that. For people for likes extra fortune cookies and sauces, you will not get the stink eye at this place by asking for more.
