I ate here several times out of convenience, close to where I live. I figured the first few times if I just tried something different it would get better. No luck. Food is extremely overcooked and poor quality. I’ve regretted eating it every time I had it. I tried multiple chicken dishes, the shrimp curry, lo main and it was all bad. Fatty, dubious chicken, filling the large shrimp curry with 2⁄3 onion, etc. Rather pricey for poor quality too. Next time I will drive ten extra minutes to get better quality food at Red Dragon for the same price. Also another pet peeve I have is that I want to know what I’m paying per item. Their receipt is not itemized. It just shows you you’re paying«blank» with the total. I have issues with this because they could be putting anything in there. My total was higher than the menu price this last time and she would not explain why it was.(even with tax accounted for)

Expect your typical Chinese fast food. Not a place I would crave for.

This may well be the worst chinese food I have ever eaten. Husband and I went for lunch yesterday. I had sweet and sour chicken combination and hubby had chicken and broccoli combination. My chicken was hard and my fried rice looked like brown rice with a little piece of egg in it. My wonton soup had a piece of plastic in it, so I didn’t get past that first bite. My hubby’s dish and wonton soup had no taste, but his brown rice was standard fair.

My chicken was super soft and pink! The«fried» rice was brown rice with 1 small quarter sizes scrambled egg in it. Not tasty and not worth it.

Average Chinese take out. Giving 4 stars because the food is great for a regular take out joint.

I was hesitant reading the reviews, but I can say my wife and I both really enjoyed our meals. More than enough food, friendly staff and will get repeat business from us.

I swing by this place throughout my entire week. Most of the times I come here, it’s at lunch. A lunch special is around $ 6 which comes with rice, soup, or egg roll. The food comes out quick and fresh, never regretted any purchases.

I eat here at least 2 – 3 times a week(usually to-go). For what you are paying($ 5 – 7 a dish at lunch), it really doesn’t get any better than this. I don’t understand the hyper-critical reviews at all. The food is very tasty, and even the deep-fried items(spring rolls and sweet and sour pork) are not overly battered and very crispy. I usually ask them to steam my dishes(chicken and garlic sauce) and provide the sauce on the side– and they always gladly do it. I’ve also tried the mei fun(I recommend the Singapore mei fun over the veggie mei fun). Pretty much everything I’ve tried on the menu is quite good. No attitude, no rudeness, just a very pleasant experience all around.

Pretty standard but above-average Chinese takeout spot. If you know anyone who’s worked in RTP, they’ve probably been here in a pinch, as it’s cheap, fast, and usually open for holidays. Their service has always been nice and friendly(no idea where all these comments about rude service are coming from). I’ve tried most everything on the menu and I usually come back to the Lo Mein or the General Tso’s. It’s not anything to write home about, but it’s still tasty and the portions are huge(enough for at least two meals). The wings and fried rice combo is a favorite of my coworkers too. Highly recommended, but keep your expectations within reason — it’s still cheap takeout Chinese, after all.

Save your money and hit a buffet. It’ll taste better. Bland bland bland. Lady on the phone was RUDE and rushing me off the phone. Wasn’t even 6:00 yet. Only reason I even agree to one star is the delivery was timely and the food was warm.

This place is pretty grimy and the food is just acceptable, but it holds a warm place in my heart because it is cheap and close by. Pretty much only thing I get is shrimp or chicken with garlic sauce. Portions in the lunch combo are huge. Replace the egg roll with hot-and-sour soup. Actually, the hot-and-sour soup is probably the best thing they make here. Chicken has a weird processed taste, like the chunks are pressed together from scraps. Shrimp are suspiciously large for such a cheap place. I have a conspiracy theory that the shrimp are made from ground-up tiny shrimp cast into the shape of a large shrimp.

This is a quick and easy Chinese takeout spot, plain and simple. While it’s not exactly what I’m after when I’m looking for that #4 combo special kind of place, it fits the bill and offers some respite from the other locations around RTP. Sweet and sour chicken is my automatic, though my coworkers are equally pleased with Mongolian beef and chicken with broccoli. I agree with the comments about the egg roll, but they’re part of the combo and pass the snuff test. I have had white rice a couple times, and both instances it was a bit crunchy, so now i stick with the brown rice only as my option. Parking is a nightmare, but you can avoid some of the headache by ordering online in advance, have someone circle the lot while you roll in and pick up your food.

the food was pretty good. I had sweet and sour pork combination and my sweetie had happy family. The baby enjoyed the fried rice and chicken from happy family meal. Service was ok and food came out pretty quickly

Standard Chinese take-out but done so well. I love the Boneless Ribs. The sauce is very sweet and the ribs have that nice char-grilled flavor to them. They reheat fairly well, so you can save some for later. The crab wontons are also done very well and have a lot of flavor. No real surprises here, just good food.

The egg roll was good… that’s about it. I was disappointed, especially since they deliver and that is super convenient for those who do not have a lot of time to go pick something up.

Looking for quick and easy good Chinese takeout I stopped in to Wok’n Grille a few weeks ago. I wasn’t impressed though. The lady at the counter seemed a bit gruff. I came in literally right after the lunch specials ended so that was a bummer, but I was still excited to place my order to take some food back to the office. My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken and she offered to give it to me as a combo, but when she did that it ended up charging me more rather than saving me money which is what I thought she was trying to do. Not so. There wasn’t even a great deal of food when it came to the serving size. Like Michael E, I thought much of the food could have just been easily frozen or even stale minutes before thrown into the fryer. My egg roll seemed standard. Those are kind of hard to mess up though. Like Michael E. I also wonder why it’s so difficult to get good, cheap, Chinese food. I don’t even expect it to be really authetic and am okay with it being Americanized as long as it’s good. This just didn’t impress at all though. I will say that they do get some props for having the option of allowing you to place your oder online though I wouldn’t try it and don’t see the point since it’s «fast» food rather than any form of goodness close to made-to-order.

As of yet it is by far the best take — out I’ve eaten. Granted I agree w/Jeremy that’s standard common chinese food(americanized) fair, as well as the amount or quantity in which you recieve for the price you pay is outstanding. The other interesting feature this place has vs many others is you can simply order online. So it completely eliminates that whole confusing phone dialogue that many take– out joints tend to experience. I’d say sisco & ebert would definately give this place a 2 thumbs up for sure.

Standard American style Chinese food. Consistency is important at places like this so I find something I like and stick to it. The general tso’s chicken is my favorite and it’s enough food for two easily. I’ve also tried about 3 – 4 of the other dishes on the menu and all have been quite good with huge portions. Food is really fast too so at lunch that’s a plus and if you do take out you’ll find your food is ready not too long after your seat warms up. I really don’t have anything bad I can say about this place… I think some of the other reviews are giving it a bad rap because I’ve been eating here once in a while since they opened and have never had an issue. They also have quite a few choices for those non meat eaters out there(like my wife) with tofu or just veggies. Another plus is that like many Chinese restaurants you can count on them being open when other places aren’t like on US holidays. Today was a great example where I had a hankerin’ for Carolina BBQ(is there any other? No!) and my top 2 favorite local places were closed for the long Thanksgiving day weekend. I then tried another stir fry place which was close to my #2BBQ place and it too was closed at 2pm on a Saturday so I headed to Wok’N Grille and got my general tso’s on and it was delicious. Best of all I still have all the fried rice in the fridge for dinner tomorrow.

Pretty standard the prices were 60 – 10 dollars and they also had wings incase you didn’t even want chinese food. The restaurant had the food pretty fast and came with egg rolls. I wasn’t that into it since we ordered a lo mien and it came with the veggies and no noodles? WTF the other dish we got was #20 which was good with veggies and rice came with it. The broccoli chicken was standard and unremarkable. The chicken chestnut was okay but too minced.

Why oh why is it so difficult to get good, cheap, authentic, Chinese food? Maybe it’s because I’m in Raleigh and not in San Francisco-but that’s beside the point. Since I work down the street from this place, AND it was on the way home, AND I was craving some Chinese food(yes the bastardized American version not the above listed desires). I decided to give Wok ‘n Grill a chance. I should have bypassed this and gone straight for the Rolaids and Tums combo chased with some Pepto. I will share my deepest desires when it comes to standard fare for a «takeout» Chinese establishment located in one of North Carolina’s rampant strip malls; I ordered up some steamed dumplings, and some sesame chicken, with fried rice and the token broccoli partition coupled the always standard accompaniment of a single egg roll. The dumplings cried«Bought in», otherwise known as I emptied the frozen dumplings out of a bag more than likely dropped off by some large white truck and placed them in the microwave to thaw and then proceeded to drop them in a bamboo steamer to add a tad bit of authenticity. The Fried rice unfortunately was started with fresh rice, was a bit gummy, and was never fried. It was freshly steamed rice with some token seasonings, a hand full of peas, 1 small sliver of egg and a couple pieces of diced carrots The broccoli was barely steamed and even though I love broccoli in all forms, the added crunch and continuous chew of stale broccoli didn’t aid my appetite. Lastly the chicken. I thought there maybe some redeeming quality here. Heavily battered chunks of grisly(don’t ask me how chicken can be grisly) chicken were the only real elements of flavor here. I can only guess at the preparation-once the chicken had been fried in its batter it was tossed in the wok to glaze with sauce. Once done, a light sprinkle of sesame seeds was added-two to three pinches. I never got as far as the Egg Roll-it joined half a portion of dumplings and a major share of the entrée in the refuse bin. So to sum this experience up. If you’re craving Chinese and this is the only place in the vicinity you may want to keep driving. If you’re actually going to die of hunger-then by all means walk in and place your order.
