As a former New Yorker, I admittedly consider myself a bagel snob. Tandem makes the best bagels I have ever had. Do not miss out, we are so lucky to have a place like tandem!!!

Came to tandem bagel after a recommendation from a friend. Ordered the savory egg with mozzarella, pesto, and tomato on an oat wheat bagel with a hazelnut coffee and my husband got an egg and american cheese sandwich on an onion bagel with hazelnut coffee. The food was bland and a little dry. The coffee was decent but on the sweeter side.

Tandem always has an excellent selection. It’s very tough finding a good bagel place, but Tandem never disappoints!

If you’re gonna splurge on carbs, make it a good one! This is a cute little bagel sandwich shop. I visited on a picture perfect fall day. Sun shining. A nippy breeze. There are tables inside but get the full experience by dining outside or in the little park next door. Super dog-friendly experience. The bagels are great … Crunchy on the outside and a nice flavorful dough on the inside. They serve a good cup of coffee … Homemade hummus too. My breakfast was a fresh, strong cup of coffee, an everything bagel with olive cream cheese and a ½ size house salad. I have not one thing bad to say about this experience. Give this place a shot and you’ll be a regular!

First timer here and what a great experience! Excellent food, scenery(even though I couldn’t find myself on the painted mural) and exceptional service by Shelby. Shelby made us feel very welcomed & went above and beyond to accommodate us. She made us a delicious vanilla iced chai that tasted like Christmas in my mouth. Will definitely be returning! You rule Shelby!

My dad, my sister, and I stumbled upon this place after spending our day in the quaint town of Easthampton. When you walk in, you notice all the cute décor and their wide variety of bagels. They also have an assortment of sandwiches, coffees and other cool drinks(iced teas and smoothies). So I ordered a roast beef & horseradish sandwich in a wrap and it was great! Perfect amount of meat and quality ingredients. But on the other hand, my dad got a cinnamon raisin bagel with butter which was AMAZING. Next time I’m definitely gonna get a sandwich on a bagel because it was to die for. They’re salads look great as well. It was nice and clean in the little restaurant. The staff seemed quite young but super friendly. The service was quick too! Over A+

Love this place! Great bagels & lots of options beyond the carbs. I love sitting out on patio. Heads up parking could be better & it gets smoky inside sometimes.

Really great local bagel shop. Not by any means comparable to any bagel place on the east side of Manhattan, but still a decent local place for breakfast. Try the sweet breakfast sandwich on a toasted jalapeño!

Soul-less, dry, flavorless bagels. Meh. Where’s the moist, yeastiness? Where’s the crust that shows that it’s been boiled. This is just a roll… and not a great one at that.

Great owners and service. The space is great having a casual feel, though it can get crowded and busy. For the area it’s hands down the best bagel nook around. Sure its not as good as NY or Montréal but who else is.

Wow this place has the best bagels on the planet. I really like the spicy bagel and zesty bagel. With Jalapeño bagel. I will go and try other flavors as well. If you really want good bagels come to this place.

Great place to relax and get breakfast or lunch. Very nice interior in an old train depot. They did a good job. I had the multigrain nut bagel and it was delicious. It’s very convenient being alongside the rail trail. It’s a great place to stop during a bike ride.

This review is for their new shop at Northampton Athletic Club: really good bagels. Creative menu. But: the sandwiches are so tiny. With tax, a turkey chipotle sandwich is just under $ 8. For a sandwich on a bagel. It has many great ingredients, but is not enough food for $ 8. It comes with no sides. Not that that’d make it much better if it came with cheap chips.(Also: «hummus & greens» sandwich makes me expect just that. But it’s hummus, cuke, and tomato. No «greens».) I loved the old café at NAC and need a place to hang out for lunch between working out and a yoga class. The old café lunch was a good value. But for those prices, I can’t afford it when I can get a sandwich 2x the size with similar ingredients at State St for $ 5. I’m happy to pay a little more for the convenience, but not $ 3 more for a tiny sandwich! I’m bummed and hope they find ways to improve things.

I ADORE tandem!!! I think they hands down have the best bagels in the valley. Light and crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. Their flavors will appeal to everyone and you can get a sweet bagel like their French toast bagel spread with vanilla cream cheese or Nutella, or have something savory like a multigrain with veggie cream cheese. Their Greek yogurt parfait with house made granola is excellent when looking for something less starchy Their bagel sandwiches are wonderful and they have many combinations that are great for breakfast and lunch

I have tried liking this place several times. In theory, I should like it; i love bagels and these kind of look like bagels I love but they aren’t as chewy and dense. Also, who doesn’t cut a bagel in half when getting a sandwich? Why should I ask? As anybody who has ever ate a bagel sandwich knows, if you don’t cut it in half, everything starts falling out of the back of the sandwich. Also, everything seems to be pre-made or frozen here; the eggs come in a perfectly round disc and are spongey and the bacon doesn’t look real and lacks that good, fresh, fatty bacon taste. The space is cute, but it is always packed and the coffee isn’t that good. Have I mentioned that the prices are ridiculous? A lot of reviews are comparing this place to NY bagels and you simply can’t. You can get a delicious, chewy, and dense bagel anywhere in NYC, with egg, cheese, and bacon for $ 3, MAX. And they cut the bagel for you and the eggs are made right there in front of you, along with the bacon. This doesn’t happen here and the prices are so jacked up. Some of the cashiers are so rushed because of how many people are here, they are rude. Yeah dude, because you have 40 effin flavors of bagels, i can’t make up my mind in the 5 minutes i had. RELAX. I prefer the sandwiches over at Shelburne Falls; the bagels aren’t nyc bagels either, but the actual egg and meat are made fresh and they cut them in half and the prices aren’t as bad as tandem. Additionally, the people are super friendly and the coffee is delicious.

The bagels here are amazing. I buy a dozen bagels at a time and freeze them so I can have bagels throughout the week. Yesterday I tried the blueberry one and this morning I had the cinnamon raisin. Let me tell you, I am very glad I found this place because nothing can compare! Definitely try the vanilla cream cheese too. So delicious!

Best bagel I’ve had in western mass aside from Bensons. Unlike the aforementioned business, Tandem looks like it actually cooks enough bagels to meet consumer demand.

LOVE this spot. It’s my go to with the kids on weekends.(They beg for it, and are honestly disappointed when we don’t go.) The ONLY qualm I have is that it can get busy, but they’re working hard to get the lines down, and for the space they have ample seat. The space is well done, also. Comfy, but not too comfy. Right off the Mahan path, and very convenient to walk to. Now… The bagels. I lived in Manhattan. I have not had bagels that remind me of that experience in a LONGLONG time.(Could someone up here figure out how to make a decent Knish now, please?) The basic bagels are all done well, and the non-traditional Bagels are good too.(Try the snicker-doodle. I do it plain. It’s like a breakfast dessert.) My go to right now is asiago with egg and cheese(pepper jack) with avocado. Perfection. The coffee is good, the tea is solid. Lots of different choices for drinks. Everything is fresh. The staff is wonderful. I can’t recommend it enough… But honestly, don’t go… So there’s a shorter line. :) (Edit:) I have since this review been many more times, and found the staff to be fantastic, and the owner to be an amazing person. I usually come with my boys, and one morning we rushed over to get breakfast before the hangry started, and I walked out the door without my wallet. I had sent the boys to grab a table, and as I was finishing the order had come to the realization that I hadn’t brought my wallet. My youngest son had engaged the owner in a chat, and as I was coming to get the boys to go home and grab my wallet, and the owner told me not to worry. He’d cover me and we could come pay them back later. He also brought over a rice crispy treat for the lads to share, for free. Needless to say, the kiddos now have a favorite place from breakfast!
