This Arby’s is almost the exact opposite of McDonald’s in that people working there seem to care a lot. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but generally places in Eaton have employees who care – that’s the way Eaton works. The training manager said hi and walked over the register. She took my order and made sure to let them know that I wanted potato cakes – something not ordered all that often so they’re made fresh. While she was getting change, another staffer asked to help me. Something that bothered me was that a worker was cleaning a fryer while things were being fried next to it. It’s not really dangerous but it’s a sloppy practice since it should be done when none of the equipment is in use. The Jamocha milk shake was possibly the thickest shake I’d ever had anywhere at any time. It was as though they used cream instead of milk. The potato cakes were, of course, hot, and the sandwich was reasonably above room temperature. The dining room is one of the newer designs with partitions, like the one in Brookville, OH. Unfortunately, the way the chairs are stored under the table, they could fall backward at any time. Once again, someone at headquarters wasn’t thinking all the way through to actual usage. The one problem I noticed was that there were several tables that needed to be cleaned, lunch rush or no. The food was exactly what you should expect from Arby’s.
