I went there questioning if I should go to Sleeps or Macys… I went to Sleepys first as I live few blocks away. However Thomas was incredibly helpful, knew everything about mattresses and got me the best mattress for my needs and I didn’t even feel the need to go to another place for comparison. He even followed up with me and delivery after the sale and provided 100% customer service additional to his sales knowledge. Thomas is the reason to my 5 star rating. Great employee! This is, by far, the most awful experience at a mattress store EVER. When we went in to purchase 2 mattresses, we actually got a good deal on them — but every other detail was a complete bust. The salesman working that Tuesday(9÷15÷15) was the worst I ever dealt with. He acted like everything was going to run smoothly… then, we asked for the delivery to be on Friday. He tried to assure us that everything should be fine — what reason would we have to doubt that he was going to act like he doesn’t remember us when the delivery day came? My dad called infuriated by the complete difference in what was being delivered and what was promised… the salesman? Nope, doesn’t remember us at all. has no recollection of making these empty guarantees/promises. He said it was free to have the delivery men bring our mattresses down to the dumpster at our place. the delivery guys? They said that each mattress being thrown out was going to cost $ 20 per mattress — as per the lady salesperson today(9÷18÷15) who, according to my dad, was extremely irritable and unpleasant to deal with. Otherwise, she told us that we had to contact the city/borough office to have them removed. EXCUSEME? So of course, the salesman also denies every bit of detail from the day regarding this point. UNBELIEVABLYDISGUSTING. I don’t care if it’s $ 20 or $ 200 or even $ 2000 — have you no principle? Oh, and don’t even try to divert the blame elsewhere — the delivery guys were actually nice and we tipped them and offered cold water for their kind services. The actual mattresses we ordered came through after the hectic debacle and confrontation, so I won’t be seeking any remedies for this. I hate using the lawyer card, but if I had do, I’d do it out of principle just for Sleepy’s Edgewater. I just don’t really have a worthy cause of action at this moment since, as I said, the right mattresses were delivered and at the end of a serious headache, everything fell through. So I’ll resort to KARMA. I hope karma gets you for putting my parents through this hell this morning. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. Shame on you.

Crappy customer service. Delivery schedule sucks. Gave us a window bet. 8 – 12 which was already bad but the delivery does not occur until after 2pm. Wasted 6 hours becauae of their incompetence
