Okay I guess. Took the drive down here today. Needs to have a sign by the street — pretty hard to catch and took a few attempts driving by before I found it. Met by a bum in the parking lot — good first impression. Go inside to some girl who obviously doesn’t want to be at work. After about 30 seconds she barked at me «Do you know what you want?» I think she may have almost cracked a smile towards the end but I can’t be 100% sure. I suck to the basic, «grass fed» burger. Medium. The burger was decent, fresh bun, regular fries were surprisingly not greasy. Skins on which is always a plus. The regular yellow mustard(as marked on the jar) tasted like deli mustard. Odd to have on a burger. There was some gruff man helping out — he may have been the owner. In an ominous sign this place was nearly empty around 11:45AM while the Jersey Mike’s next door was jumpin’. Expect around $ 10.45 and a stealth cheese up-sell on your burger. The money includes the basic burger, cheese up-charge of 50¢, homemade fries, and a beverage. Parking is your typical strip mall lot here but at least if the weather cooperates and the bums are at bay you can probably take the food«to go» and go across the street to the lake. Honestly it’s good to try once. Would I make a regular visit from Reunion? No. And I love my burgers! In the long run, for the same price, you’d be better off at Smash Burger. A solid 2.5 — Unilocal rounding to 3.

The more hyped«this is the best burger in denver» places I try, the more I love Walk-In Burger. I tried Park Burger… just tried the Cherry Cricket… nope, Walk-In has my favorite burger in Denver. I almost feel guilty comparing it at all. Its the condiments, man… they’re just doing it right!

Pretty good burgers — expect to pay $ 10-$ 14 for a burger, fries and drink. Nice that you can build your own, but the patty itself is a little thick for my liking. No complaints about service — burger was out in about 5 minutes. There are better burger places in town but the place is definitely a big step up from fast food joints.

How do you review a place that is hard to wrap your mind around when the burgers are easy to wrap your hands around? Walk-in burgers, what are you? Are you a fast food joint a la In-N-Out?(That is to say a fast food place that aspires to have quality food you sit down and enjoy) Are you a burger place a la Park Burger?(Where the prices here wouldn’t be shocking, but where Table service is expected) Everything about the experience says fast food, but the quality of the food says gourmet burger joint with prices to match. This place is expensive, REALLY expensive. They must be charging 500% mark-up, no lie. For an order of REALLYREALLYREALLY bad sweet potato fries, a medium rare burger(Done perfectly), and a coke which was on the house as it was my first time, it was $ 9.xx. This means WITH a $ 2 coke I would have been paying almost $ 12 or $ 13. That is an OUTRAGEOUSLY high sum for a fast food joint. It’s grass fed beef, not Kobe beef. The sweet potatoes fries were done«hard» as we say — that is to say had they been potatoes they would have been done almost brown. That’s OK when you flash fry them first and then put a finish on them, but when you fry sweet potato fries in too hot of oil for too short of an amount of time you get what I got here — which is practically burned sweet potato fries with NO flavor but burned. It was REALLY disappointing for $ 3. The burger was delicious. The bun was good, it was juicy and delicious, and I think that the actual BURGER itself was better than Park Burger which is the best burger in town in my book. The lack of toppings is really disappointing. Which is why this place feels more like a fast food joint than a gourmet burger joint. You cant get fresh jalapenos, a fried egg, giardinara, or anything FUN on your burger. It’s very by the book — and that sucks. If you want to be a gourmet burger joint, you need something more than onions, tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard with some iceberg lettuce on your burger. In the words of Jules from Pulp Fiction«Mmmm, that is a TASTY burger» but its not worth the accompanying price. For almost $ 12 you could get 12 pieces of Sushi from Fontana Sushi.

Next time, I vote for Smashburger. It’s pricey: a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke will run you more than $ 10 with tax. My burger was pretty good, although a bit more rare than I’d like for«medium,» the fries were good/not amazing and came in a huge portion. I’d suggest sharing. I only noticed that I was due two dipping sauces while I waited for my order. The sauces I took with me were good, so make sure to get yours — they don’t seem to offer them. Bottom line: If you have time, go to a bar and get a better burger. If you’re in another area, go to Smashburger. If you happen to be right here and in a hurry, I suppose this place will do.

Easy three stars for you, Walk-in Burger. My only complaint is that I wasn’t offered any of the home made sauces. Shame. Oh well, there’s always next time. The service was great and what I expected. The place was«dead» for the lunch hour which surprised me a bit. The prices are a bit steep, but I figure your’re paying for the quality. «Made to order», is the phrase to remember here. My burger was, of course, cooked to order at a perfect(medium) with all the fixins’ plus sautéed onions. Can you say delicious? The fries were home style with the skin on. They were a little limp, but still good. There’s not much more to be said. Walk-in Burger is a nice little burger joint. Thanks!

Good premium burger joint. They have different dipping sauces which are pretty tasty. The Chipotle ketchup tasted like a dip of skoal rather than chipotle+ketchup. The Buffalo burger was good as was the beef burger, however both could benefit from a hit of salt n pepper or other dash of season on the grill. Both burgers fell apart during our meal. My sweet potato fries were well done, which caused the majority of the sweetness to be lost, but still score a b-. Overall good place to grub. Mama and I will likely be back, i don’t think my kids would dig the place, but they’re picky eaters even when it comes to burgers. Word.

We were hungry for a burger and tried this place out. We had good quality beef and buffalo burgers for just $ 5 or $ 6. The fries were good and plentiful as well. Plus, you get two free«dipping sauces». I am a big fan of dipping sauces myself, so this was a nice bonus. For good burgers with lots of toppings quickly and at a good price, this is a great place to go. They also have several other sandwhich items, including a tri-tip sandwhich. So, we will be back to try those.

So good, I’m now recommending this lunch stop to co-workers, friends, anyone who will listen. I did try the Quin-Walker veggie burger — I can report that it was tasty. Complex grains with black beans and all the trimmings of the standard burgers. Walk-in is rockin’!

I think I’ve found my new go-to burger spot. Walk-In is an Edgewater original, and despite driving past plenty of times since its opening, I only got around to trying it yesterday. And yowsa am I glad I did. At Walk-In you walk up and order at the counter. You have a pretty clear view of their grill and cold-bar assembling line for their burgers. I think this speaks a lot about a restaurant that will have your food prepared pretty much out in the open. WI offers a variety of meat burgers(grass-fed cow, buffalo), in addition to a hot dog and salads. Of course, yours truly and her sister both ordered the Quin-Walker – a unique veggie burger made with quinoa, black beans, other tasty things, and coated in Panko. Slightly squishy? Yes. Still delicious? Hell yes. Do I want another right now as I type this? Absolutely. Sister and I shared regular fries, and it was the perfect amount for two people. You’re given the option of two free dipping sauces(additional sauces are $ 0.50), and we went with the cucumber-dill and(Someone’s) Dip-In sauce. I forget the name of the someone… Anyway, cucumber-dill was tzaztiki-like. The Dip-In sauce was like Utah’s own Fry Sauce(that I just experienced for the first time this past vacation!), only with relish(or maybe Thousand Island?) mixed in. Neither sauce blew me away, and next time I’ll stick with Ranch as my security blanket. The veggie burger itself was done really well. The Panko-coating was crunchy, and contrasted the soft inside. I didn’t look too closely at it, as I was too busy stuffing my face with it, but I did see the quinoa and black beans; I suspect maybe red peppers were also in the mix? All burgers come standard with classic toppings(mayo, mustard, lettuce, etc.), and a list of cheeses to select from. I had a huge slice of tomato atop my burger which, had it been ripe, would have been perfect. WI Burgers offers a limited selection of beer and wine, in addition to fountain sodas and Boylan bottled sodas. Though it was a mighty battle, I resisted the urge to purchase one of their brownies I saw for sale(for $ 2.25). They also offer cream cheese carrot cake($ 2.99), Black-and-White cookies $ 2.25), and some cute mini-pies that did not have a price. I will definitely be back to Walk-In Burgers for another veggie delight. In attempts to make up for lost time, and to also make the most of what’s left of summer, it would be a great option for a brown bag lunch at Sloans Lake, just across the street. Buy your own booze at the liquor store in the King Soopers parking lot, brown bag it from Walk-In, and hop over to the Lake and enjoy. Sounds like a plan to me.

The Walk-In would be a good place to get a brown bag lunch and walk-over to Sloans Lake. They served up about the thickest, juiciest burger I’ve ever eaten at a fast food joint. This burger was cooked as ordered with just the basic toppings. The fries were fresh cut with an assortment of tasty dipping sauces. While the Walk-In boasts in taste, it’s somewhat lacking in character. It smacks of chain, though it’s an Edgewater original. I appreciate the lack of kitsch, but something’s missing. As such, I say take away and enjoy the lake.

Me and a group went to Walk in Burgers last night for a quick bite to eat. They have a choice of grass fed beef or buffalo burgers and some hot dogs. No coney islands though. I had the grass fed beef(I do not care for buffalo). It was cooked the way I asked and it had plenty of toppings. The standard burger comes with Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo. I did add bacon and it was very crispy. The burger was ok, nothing super special. But the hand cut fries and sweet potato fries were great. You can request an order of half and half. For those of you who liked the old pizza and mussels place that is where this is located now, sorry. Good food if you are in a hurry.

Finally made it in the other day for a burger and I have to admit that I am mad at myself for not going in earlier. It is a new restaurant in Edgewater after all. We both ordered cheeseburgers and they got the temps right on. I love all the messy toppings that they come with, the pickles are delish! One regular order of the fries was enough for two people to share, which helped bring down the overall cost. Our fries were really good, so I think they got the oil temp fixed as noted in previous reviews. Just under $ 20 for two burgers, two drinks and an order of fries. Not a bad deal in my book.

Stopped in today when they’d just opened. I took my burger to-go, but it didn’t have far to go(about 2 blocks). I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar. When I got to work to eat said burger, I unwrapped it from two greasy sheets of wax paper. A bit greasy, definitely messy, but I ain’t skeered. The burgers come with everything on top, which I like. Most people don’t like *every* topping, though. Burger was cooked to my request(medium rare), nice and pink still. It was similar to a Red Robin burger but half the price! I also ordered an order of the fries. I waited a minute or two for them, so I know they were freshly fried. But I was eating them in the car, and they were soggy. They were not ever crisp, even right out of the fryer. This is a problem. They were dark enough but not crispy– this means maybe your oil isn’t hot enough. I saw a response somewhere on google reviews from the owner, defending his fries and saying that they’re meant to be eaten fresh, not put in a bag and carried home. I understand that… but I tried those fries fresh and they still weren’t up to snuff. Turn up your oil temp, get ‘em good and crispy. So I say to Walk-In Burgers, this burger is one of the best I’ve had in recent memory and the price makes it THEBESTBURGERDEALINTOWN. Improve those fries and I’ll bump you up to 5 stars!

I love a good burger, and right now Park Burger owns the top spot on my list just on flavor alone. WalkIn Burger is new, so I gave it a try. Grass-fed beef, which is a great message, and they were tasty. Quite larger than I was expecting(like, ¾″ thick!) with fresh-tasting ingredients of tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mayo, mustard, & ketchup. They come with onions too, but the guy who took my order asked me first if I wanted«everything» on it. «everything but onions» I said. Also, they ask how you’d like it cooked… I asked for medium, but it was well done — still good though. Sounds like some other Unilocalers didn’t get the temperature they asked for either… maybe a little more training for the cooks? I didn’t get any fries, just had the burger. Overall, I really liked it, but it won’t satiate the«craving» that I get for Park Burger. Wish they had a patio to take advantage of the great view of Sloan’s Lake and the downtown skyline, but I’ll be back nonetheless. I’ll have to try the fries next time too.

I’m still a fan after my second visit to WIB. This time I had a basic cheeseburger, and it was done medium as I’d requested. Very tasty, with fresh toppings. The fries are pretty good, too. Friendly service. I agree with Rachel M. that they could make the ambiance better. Even Chipotle does it better. Next time I will try the«roasted meat» of the day — on my last visit, it was a roasted sirloin sandwich.

Blerg. Edgewater is quickly becoming a new hot spot, and I’m excited about the potential. With that said, Walk-in Burgers is not living up to its potential. First, the place lacks ambiance. Yes, I realize this is a diner-style place, where you can typically order and leave with your food, but their neighbor, GB Fish & Chips knows how to do it right to convey a casual, yet engaging atmosphere. I had no idea their beef was even grass-fed until after I ordered and I saw a tiny blurb by the door. I ordered a buffalo burger w/cheese as did my husband, and we split an order of fries. The fries were soggy and the portion was small for the price. The rosemary mayo was downright gross. The woman behind the counter asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I replied medium-well, and I got a bloody burger. The burgers themselves were thin — which I am okay with when it is not buried in lettuce and enrobed in a stale bun. Burger came with ketchup already on it, which was a disappointment for the ketchup-hating hubby. I love a Grandpa’s Burger haven, or a Griff’s as much as the next gal, their greasy burgers can really hit the spot sometimes. It seems like Walk-in Burgers is trying to be a «natural/local/honest» version of these diners, which is commendable but they haven’t pulled it off yet. Next time I’ll walk down to Sloane’s Bar and Grille for a burger or even Providence Tavern. Both of these joints have cheaper, better burgers and fries.

I have driven by this place a few times and thought«another burger place» and just dismissed it. But then I stumbled on a Westword review that said this place only used grass fed beef! This definitely peeked my interest. You see, I have been on a quest for local joints that serve grass fed beef. I love burgers+ I care where my beef comes from= a match made in heaven. The décor isn’t great, but I don’t think that’s the point. It is walk in burger joint and I can see coming here and getting food to go as well. The inside feel reminds me of a Five Guys Burgers. There is a sign at the register that says they cook their burgers medium and that they may be pink in the center. But they will cook them more well done if you like, and even give it to you for free if you’re still not satisfied. I like some pink in my burger so this was no problem for me. The burger was juicy and delicious. The fries are hand cut and all the dipping sauces are made in house. Everything is local too. So these are all big factors for me. Great burger, grass fed. Happy me.

Good neighborhood place to get a bite. The menu is fairly minimal, which is a good thing in my opinion for this kind of joint. The french fries are good, and for the price, they give you quite a decent serving. The atmosphere needs a bit of work(it’s really really really sparse and feels somewhat disorganized). The burgers come with all of the standard toppings, and you can add fancy toppings for an extra charge. One thing that kind of bugged me though is that they didn’t ask how I wanted my burger cooked. It came out a little pink for my taste, but it was delish nonetheless. When I go again, I guess I’ll just tell them when I order how I want it cooked. I’ll definitely be back. For the price, it’s a good bet. They need to «up» the presentation of the food and the restaurant interior a bit if they truly want to compete with Smashburger, but for what it is, it works. Hopefully this place will make it so more good restaurants will be encouraged to come to Edgewater!

Ok, stopped in for lunch. Great greasy burgers actually cooked right. The sweetpotato fries with the mango chutney dipping sauce was fantastic. Burger, Fries, and Drink for under 10 bucks. Check it out and let me know what ya think
