New to the area so trying to find some good Vietnamese food here in the Edinburgh/McAllen area. This was the first place I tried. Food is good. I like the unique fusion foods and fruit drinks, but especially the desserts.

I had the pork bahn(?) w shrimp and seafood meat balls and it was delicious! It was actually perfect in the seasoning sense… not too salty and not so bland. The only thing I have to say is that it was annoying to have to pick the shrimp out so I could take the tail off. Also, I specifically asked for sriracha, since I had it to-go, and the girl assured me it was in the bag, but when I opened it at work, there was no sauce. That was disappointing after reading so many reviews about the wonderful service, and because I love my food extra spicy. However, the soup was sooo good that I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

Had the BBQ baguette(forget the exact name). I’m not a foodie so I can’t describe it other than«great». Big menu, fast service. Good sized. Without prompting, the owner stopped at our table to confirm everything was OK. Can’t remember last time that happened at Chilli’s. Didn’t have any desserts but they looked pretty outstanding. Will be going back for them.

True Rating: 3.5÷4 WHAT I ORDERED: Lemongrass Pork Bahn Mi(~$ 5) I’m giving points to Snowbite for bringing another cuisine option to the area around here. The service here is very friendly, and the menu is huge — so there is literally anything for anyone depending on what you’re craving — whether it’s rice bowl, noodle vermicelli bowl, bahn mi, boba, and shaved ice — there are several options out of this huge menu. FOOD: I was craving bahn mi’s lately and decided to go with the LEMONGRASSPORKBAHNMI. Overall, the sandwich was a 3.5÷4.0 — definitely not the best I’ve had but I have to be lenient considering the Vietnamese options around town. The french bread was crispy and fresh and the sandwich was loaded with fresh vegetables of cilantro and cucumber. The bread was slathered in their delicious asian mayo. My only complaint about the sandwich was the lack of pork in the sandwich. While the lemongrass pork was tender and cooked well, I had a hard time finding it in every bite I took. By the time I had ¼ of the sandwich left, there was nothing except bread and veggies left. So my suggestion? Add a little bit more meat! Otherwise it’s a pretty good, filling meal for the cheap price!

I really like this place. The food is more modern tasting(NOT Panda Express!!). Reasonably priced and plentiful portions. I give 5 stars because every plate is different while predictably delicious!

This place is a gem. Got the strawberry cheesecake shaved ice, it totally hit the pot. Visit here if you’re craving something sweet and somewhat light. The service was fantastic. Will definitely come back– the entrees look delicious!

I had their tostadas and passion fruit tea. I was impressed with how well they got the Asian-Mexican fusion food idea down. The tostadas were really good! I highly recommend them. Service was excellent. And the prices were pretty great too. I’ll be returning and am looking forward to trying a new item from the menu.

Edinburg, 59 rev with a 4.5? wow? this place must be good? and it is!!! So I find myself on personal business in Edinburg, and hungry? what to eat? thinking of my late night runs and what would I eat, well Trevino’s was always there for my post drinking nights also the big W, but that’s the same old fare, always there when you need it, but since I’m getting old and the mentality of one changes, no more are the days of the triple cheese it and don’t forget the fries? So google healthy restaurant Edinburg, some salad place should have had pop up around here? and Snowbite comes up and I see the reviews and star rating! this has to be a must stop and try! After a bit of difficulty finding it, its next to the red pepper restaurant or the wings place to be exact, okay I go in and I see very clean and fresh, so far so good, next service, very attentive, next the menu, well I didn’t go through the menu I went with the recommendations of past reviewers, ordered Fresh Shrimp Rolls very fresh and very good! Tofu Tostadas wow? didn’t know you could make tofu taste so good! Patrick’s Fish Tacos !! this alone will bring me back for more! So yes this is a very good place to stop and eat also must come back for the Phở and Bahn Mi and the desserts, ohh lots to try!!!

The barbecued pork banh mi is to die for. And the deluxe surprise fries give Chilantro and Coreanos in Austin a run for their money. Very impressed by the traditional Vietnamese and Asian fusion elements brought together into casual, but extremely elevated dishes. As good as it gets!

Excellent homemade Vietnamese food! The food is on par with Asian food in Houston. They also have some Vietnamese fusion food. Sandwiches are good size and very tasty. The chicken Phở soup was lacking. But they’re not a phở house so no big deal. We were not there for Soup Wednesdays when they make their best soups. We look forward to that! SUPREMESWEETPOTATOFRIES: So, Chilantro BBQ and others in Austin and Houston are known for their Korean fusion Kim Chi Fries. And their food trucks have foodie cult followings that swear by those fries. I’ve tried a few of those places and they are great! But the Supreme Sweet Potato fries at Snowbite may be better… Wow!!! Snowbite is a must on your regular restaurant rotation.

Went back today to try Connie’s Bun Bo Hue soup. After loving the Phở, I HAD to try another of her soups. It was fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed it to the last drop. I don“t know who taught this girl how to cook, but man, did they ever! You’re missing out if you have not tried Snowbite.

I’ve been looking forward to visiting the Valley just to try this place out :) and I was not disappointed! I couldn’t decide what to get so I ordered the beef phó tacos, tamarind wings and green tea shaved snow and practically inhaled them all lol. Looking forward to coming back!

Two of us came in for a simple lunch and ordered two bowls of the Beef Phở and two of the specialty teas. The service was efficient. We had an hour lunch break from a conference nearby and we were able to eat at a comfortable pace and make it back in time. We found the décor relaxing and inviting. The two specialty teas were great(we had the Passion Tea and Paradise Tea). This is a feature we’d come back for all on its own. Having had Phở at many different locations across the US, we found the Phở at Snowbite to be mediocre. The thin flank meat was overcooked and the broth itself was loaded with lesser meats like tendon. In one of our bowls, there were two large pieces(approximately 1.5 inches long and 0.5 inches thick) of coagulated fat. I wasn’t 100% sure what it was at first and upon asking our server, she tried to say it was tendon. She was definitely confused. The Phở is slightly overpriced compared to Phở found in much larger cities. That’s not a deal breaker if the Phở is excellent; but this Phở was not. There may be better options for food at Snowbite, but we did not find it to be a good option for Phở. One issue(not related to food) that should be pointed out is that if you pay with a card, Snowbite’s card reader defaults to three options for a tip: 18%, 20%, and 25%. We always tip 15% for adequate service and 20% or more for good service, so the numbers are not the complaint. The complaint is that system takes the choice away from the customer.

I was looking for something different and healthy to eat in Edinburg and I decided to try Snowbite after reading the reviews here. I’m SO glad I did! I had the Lemongrass Shrimp Noodle bowl and loved it. I ate every bite and even scooped up every last drop of the sauce. Very fresh and tasty. The waiter was good at explaining the menu items and answering my questions. Very friendly and efficient staff. My only nit was the fried wonton strips. I don’t care for them, so next time, I’ll ask to have them left off.(Not a big deal, as I just took them off.) I’m looking forward to trying some of the other menu items. I will definitely be coming back soon! I’ve been back twice since my initial review. The second time was a disaster, but the very attentive owner made it right by comping the meal. I wasn’t impressed with it when it finally arrived. I think I’ll just stick to the Lemongrass Shrimp noodle bowl from now on. That seems to be the«star» for me.

Time after time when I come here it truly never fails. Everything I eat here it is so delicious and reminds me of good Asian food that the valley does not really have. Their flavors are well marinated and I love how friendly the staff is. They are customizable to your dietary needs too!(which I very much appreciate). If you want reliable and good comfort food, come here!!! You won’t be disappointed !
