Reservations were made just 2 weeks ago for 6 people and when we showed up we found signs on the door that the restaurant has been seized for not paying NJ State Tax. What kind of business does not pay their taxes? If they are skimping on what is required by law can they be trusted with their food? I don’t think so.

CLOSED! According to the notice dated 1÷22÷16 posted on the front door, the property has been seized by the NJ Dept of Taxation. Hopefully the restaurant owners can work out the problem and resume selling delicious food with gracious service.

came here for sunday night dinner with the family. My parents have been here before & loved it so we decided to check it out just in case. We made a reservation bc we were worried about the wait but it wasn’t too crowded when we arrived. Its a very traditional korean bbq place to the point where only 1 waitress spoke english, since we’re not korean it made things a bit harder but its always more fun when you have to work for your food!(why i love lobster lol) The service is super quick, as soon as we sat down they took our order & immediately began bringing food. Its also BYOB which is AMAZING. There’s a grill at every table & they can make your food either at the table or in the back. We chose at the table because its more fun Food: –Beef tartare: DELICIOUS, must get, we split it between 4 people and it was the perfect size. they also mix in some juilienne apples which added a fantastic sweet crispy flavor to the dish –scallion pancake: this thing is HUGE there were 5 of us, we each had a slice and there was still some left over. its crispy outside, soft inside & filled with various seafood but doesnt have a fishy taste –bimbap: good size portion, the bulgogi was fantastic, rice was very well cooked. overall great dish –Beef combo: we ordered the large, the server said it was for 3ppl but we got so much other stuff it was ok. all of the meats are delicious but the best is the marinated short rib(bulgogi). everything comes out juicy & amazing despite the fact that its just meat, no marinade. –side dishes: a bunch of little korean«tapas» come with the beef combo. there were so many options it was crazy. everything was delicious except none of us were a fan of the acorn jelly, i think thats more of an acquired taste. overall loved this place, will def be coming back here

The service is Amazing. The waitresses are so sweet. Personally I like the side dishes more than the actual meals itself. The raw crab was so salty I couldn’t even eat it. I got other dishes as well and I barley touched it. It is impossible for me to not love food. Honestly the food was just not for me. It’s either to sweet of to salty. I’m very sorry to say this, but it was not a pleasant experience.

This place probably one of the best Korean restaurant I been to, they serve high quality meats. At the same time it is VERY expensive if you decide just to the BBQ. Besides the table top BBQs, I personally enjoyed their«Kalbi Tang». Yes, it is a little on the over priced side, but the quality is amazing, they put 4 large chunks of short ribs in the soup every time I go there, always satisfied with this place. Their side dishes are pretty good, but only allowed to get up to 2 or 3 refills even if i want to pay to get more. I have been going there on every sundays, and will continue going there every week as long as everything is consistent.

Took the wife to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday and she was very happy with the place. Parking out front was easy since we got there early at 11:30AM on a Sunday. We ordered the small beef combo which includes thinly sliced beef, some prime short ribs, and a rib eye steak. The short ribs was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the grilled pork belly which was by the far the best item we had during our lunch. The service was attentive during the cooking process(they cook it for you) but we did not get a refill of our water once. All in all a good time and good food. Will be back.

Sundubu soup is ok. Just mediocre. I wouldn’t crave it in the future. Whole grilled fish was full of fish eggs. I wouldn’t return to this place again but they serve plenty of banchan compare to other Korean restaurants. The servers are friendly.

We used to come here all the time before new ownership; I have to say the quality of meat is much much better BUT the service didn’t improve. Since it’s become much more popular the wait on Friday or Saturday evening is quite longer than a typical Korean BBQ spot. We noticed people stay for much much much longer after their meals(which in sure the restaurant can’t do anything about; but maybe a PSA– once your done and paid… Don’t linger for an hour!!!) Recently we had the beef combo; which included the 4 week aged steak and it was melt in your mouth good. They offer to cook it for you at the grill in the back but I prefer it at table; I sometimes feel like the proton you get is smaller when you have them cook it in the back. They give you side dishes and usually it’s really good! They also sometimes give you a free soup or special side dish with your meal! You can call ahead so you don’t have to wait long. BYOB Pay cash for 5% off… This is a BBQ place so GETTHEMEAT!!!

I’ve been here twice and both times I got the beef combo. It’s on the pricier side, expect about $ 40/person, but the marbling on the boneless rib was amazing! The service was better the first time I went, but the presentation of the food was great both times and the waitresses were nice both times as well — the restaurant was just busier the second time around. I’ve only tried the daeng jang jjigae with that combo and it was great. The steamed egg was also better here(for some reason I can’t explain) than other places I’ve been to. All in all, any time I’m making my way out past jersey from new york, I’m going to try to make sure my route takes me by here.

The quality of the meat here is amazing. We ordered the $ 110 combo beef with the short rib, aged rib eye, and regular rib eye. All of the meat was USDA Prime so the marbling was perfect. They cooked the meat for us and served it a good medium rare. The flavor of the meat was spot on. I’ve had a lot of Korean and this is the first time I didn’t find the marinade overly sweetened. We also ordered a pork belly. The quality of the meat was also amazing and they crisped the pork to perfection! The small dishes were also good and the napa Kim Chee was delicious. The reason why this place got 4 stars was because there were flies everywhere and it got really annoying during our meal. Other than that, definitely come here and try out the bbq prime beef!

Disappointed about the food. We went there on a weekday for lunch, the complimentary dishes were short on varieties and amount. They had green onions as one of the little dishes, it was nothing like what I saw in the pictures on Unilocal.Service was unprofessional. Place overall was kinda of dirty, especially if you went to the back for bathroom. You’ll notice a big mess in the back and inside the bathroom. Food taste was Okay, nothing to die for. Portion was rather small and price was above average. Don’t think we will return there.

The service was pretty good and the food was tasty. We got the beef special or set(large) and it was about $ 90 before tax I think. The portions were average. Side dishes were good and so was the nengmyun. I like how the broth was iced. Def recommend it :)

Surprisingly this joint has good quality meat for Jersey but it’s definitely out of my price range. Really, badly wish there was an AYCE(all you can eat) kbbq restaurant in the area. If you have dough to spend, this place will do.

Been a long time customer of this restaurant for 8 years. I tried Korean barbecue for the first time here and immediately became one of my favorite foods 8 years ago. After renovations we went to give it a try again hoping for the same quality meal, fair pricing, and the friendly and authentic atmosphere of a family run joint. Sad to say, it seems all of that has been lost. Service was not great, rather slow and it wasn’t even during peak hours. Our server almost forgot about the grill several times. It would have been charred meat if we didn’t notice. The pricing now matches those in Manhattan– meaning pricy for the amount you get. The seafood pancake was too doughy and lacked a crunchy exterior. The portion of meat platters were smaller than I remember. The ban chan was ok. I guess what it lacked above, the renovations sort of made up for. Ventilation was much better and overall cleaner and brighter setting.

I had the beef combo. The marinated beef was heavenly. The waitress, a joyful chinese lady, was extremely attentive and helpful. I will be back to try the pork combo. This is a CHARCOAL bbq establishment, the first one I have seen in NJ.

Tonight was our first Korean BBQ experience. I am so glad I had it here. We were immediately greeted and our wine was opened for us by joe, who knows the true meaning of great customer service. We had the beef combo special which was MORE than enough for 2 people. Now keep in mind, we had no idea what we were doing because this was our first time here but we had a great assortment of soups, kimchee, greens, fish cake etc. Then came the meat. Oh the meat. Cooked to perfection at our table on the charcoal grill in the center. Awesome. Especially the marinated short rib. Meat lovers you cannot go wrong… Joe came by frequently to make sure we were having a good experience which I appreciated. He also had us taste rib fingers which were delectably fatty, ugh. So good. They’ve only been open since December but this place is going to do some serious damage. Fabulous. Totally will be back to try my luck with their pork selection.

The meats here were high quality. Sat down and our waiter came right away. We ordered and rather quickly, she began bringing out tons of sides– pasta salad, potato pancakes, salad, squid, sardines, etc. We began picking on account of us being starving. Then, the meat came out. We ordered the skirt and the marinated short ribs. Our waiter began grilling it on the BBQ in the center of our table. Cooked to perfection. My favorite was the marinated short ribs. Packed with flavor and tender as could be. Tip: if you check in through Unilocal, you save 5% of your check!

I RARELY give a place 5 stars but they really deserve it! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with the fabulous smell of BBQ and also welcomed by the staff. The place is quite nice, clean, and modern looking(the bathroom is more old school — they didn’t quite do the upgrade there). The staff was very attentive. I ordered the seafood bibimbap and seriously, it was probably THEBEST(in my humble opinion) in New Jersey that I’ve had! The seafood was not overcooked nor was the egg which has been the case in other circumstances. The hot pot made the rice incredibly crispy so it was a real treat at the ending when I enjoyed that special crunch! I got to try some of the marinated beef too– delicious! The staff was so friendly that it was a bit as if one of the servers was hovering over us(she reminded me of an Aunt! ;) but it all turned out well. She just really wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! We were also given radish soup on the house(it was cold, and so tasty — hard to explain — unlike anything I’ve ever had but it hit so many of my taste buds! ha!) and also were randomly given coffee. Seriously, this place is relatively inexpensive but we were treated like top of the line guests. I have had better Banchan elsewhere in that I’ve had fried fish before, or seafood included, and everything we were offered was veggie related but really, it was all delicious! They have reached #1 status in my book for Korean food in NJ!

Came here on a Friday night! Nothing is better than korean BBQ on a cold winter night. Have tried plenty Korean BBQ restaurants in the area, wanted to give this a try after the renovation. Place is nice and clean. Staff were very friendly. We brought beer with us and our waiter was very nice to give us a big bucket of ice to submerge our beer to keep them ice cold! We ordered the combo, with galbi and prime short rib. The varieties and amount of banchan totally amazed us. I have never been to any korean restaurants in the states that would give that many banchan dishes. the meat were very fresh and tasty. The short rib soup that came w the combo was a bit salty but very tasty… We were also given some pumpkin tea(dessert) which was surprising unique and tasty. Not a big pumpkin fan but that was very good. If u want fresh meat, this is definitely the place for u!

I don’t normally give 5 stars but this place really deserves it. Absolutely delicious food and great service My family and I were greeted warmly by the staff. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. We’re not Korean so the menu was a little difficult to understand because there weren’t many pictures but you honestly can’t go wrong with what you order. The mini dishes before your meal were so fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Steve, was so friendly and attentive. We couldn’t get enough for the mini dishes and he readily refilled it. My favorite was the potatoes and the tofu strands. Wish the kimchi was spicier For appetizers, we got the seafood pancake and the seafood cheesy rice cakes. These are stable dishes I always get when going to a Korean restaurant but this was by far the best. My parents got the hot stone rice dishes with beef. Again the best they’ve had. The hot stone bowls were wider so there was more crunchy rice. The meal was finished with an organic sweet pumpkin soup. So good! Bottom line, new favorite restaurant in town. Cannot wait to go back
