Lucky Island is located in the food court of Parkway Plaza. We had walked by it and decided to try it. Hubby saw the special for the day which was curry chicken bowl and a 16 ounce drink for $ 5.99 which to me was a good deal. He got three orders of it. We grabbed a table while we waited for our orders. Once we got our food, I dug in. The curry was mild which is how I like it. I can’t tolerate spicy. It was filled with diced potatoes, grilled chicken pieces, rice on the bottom and one gyoza. The food was pretty good. Descent for mall food. The potatoes were soft. Chicken was flavorful. Rice was cooked to perfection. The gyoza was good too. I enjoyed my meal. I washed down my food with a raspberry iced tea which is my favorite drink. The only disadvantage was there was limited seating but we managed to grab an empty table while hubby went to grab our food. I would definitely come back here to try other things on their menu if we are at this mall.

Mall food for me is just… mall food. I haven’t really run into anything extravagant thats fast food like inside any mall that’s worth 4 stars. The service was prompt, after coaxing me to try a sample of the macaroni salad I was so sold. I chose the bbq chicken plate(which does not include a drink btw) with my side as the macaroni salad and white rice. I must confess, the bbq chicken was great, lots of flavor and bbqd to perfection. The macaroni was good to. I’m not a true fan of macaroni salad and don’t eat everyone’s macaroni salad, but this one was worth the risk. And of course white rice is always good for me. As I mentioned above the plate did not come with a drink you have to buy that separately so I bought a canned strawberry guava. The prices were up there, I mean of course… it is the mall, nothings really reasonable there. But all in all a great eat after a day of shopping.

The employees did really react to customers walking up to their business to order food. They didn’t greet me or any of the other customers in line. They kinda just stared with a blank look on their faces until a customer ordered. They also didn’t ask what size plate I wanted and automatically rang me up for the more expensive one. The Kalua pig had a nice smokey flavor to it but the meat was way too dry. I wouldn’t go back a second time.

Very good food and an affordable price. Definitely the best choice in Parkway Plaza food court. I recommend the BBQ mix plate :)

I like this place because they have spicy Ramen soup really well here. They prepare it either chicken or beef, egg and vegetables. So yum! Previously I have tried the Ramen that one of the other Asian places in the food court offers and seems like a rip off now. I will return to lucky. :)

The food tasted really good, but the skimped me on my beef. The workers look miserable.

I have ate here for years which is why I’m so disappointed right now. the woman didn’t know the menu, gave me the smallest order of Mac salad and rice EVER. if I’m paying $ 19 I’m expecting $ 19 worth. not two pieces of noodles. when I ate here before there was lovely workers who satisfied me every time. not anymore never going here again

Maybe I was just unlucky :(you could tell they used old frying oil because the chicken tasted fishy. As far as the katsu, it tasted great! I’ll go again to give them another shot… and maybe give a better rating ;)
