We met the proprietor of this lovely café years ago at our local Farmer’s Market. She was selling the most delicious sauces and salad dressings. We were a frequent consumer of her chimichurri sauce(which is very tasty). We learned that she had opened this café, but had not made the trip up to try it. We finally made it and couldn’t be more pleased. This place exceeded our expectations !! The menu is small, but creative, and everything is fresh and locally sourced. I had the spicy tuna fish sandwich and my wife had a delicious cold cut sammie(that I can’t remember the name of). I was impressed with the selection of Sugar Free coffee syrups(many more than a coffee shop 3x’s its size). They also offer many«milk alternatives»(soy, almond, coconut, etc.) «But wait, there’s more» They also sell those fabulous sauces we craved from the Farmer’s Market ! The MSB is small but quaint and the«home-style» customer service should be bottled and sold to café’s everywhere. So whether you go for a delicious cup of coffee, a healthy and tasty lunch, or just stopping in to pick up some homemade sauce for your own creation, you’ll make the Main Street Buzz a regular stop on your culinary travels.

Looked at Unilocal!before going back to see if it had changed since last I was here. Was glad to see it hadn’t by the reviews and stopped by for breakfast. I will say I was surprised by the 2 star review by Kyle P in here. He says they were rated 2 because they didn’t stay open later to the dinner hour. That’s like rating Morton’s 2 Star because they aren’t open for breakfast! Unilocal!should remove that review. The Buzz is clean, the people are great, the food is great and the prices are fair. When in the area don’t miss a chance to enjoy the creative and unique food created by the owner operator Brookee!

I grew up in El Dorado and am so happy we have Brooke and lovely staff keeping the home style feel in rustic El Dorado… the coffee is excellent, the food and(especially homemade soups) superb, there just is nothing but YUM that comes to mind when I think of this gem of an eatery. Seriously, if you have not tried it please do! My mouth waters just thinking of their soups! Keep up the hard work and let’s give this small business some support(as if they need me to encourage people to come – HA!) all ages welcome too! After lunch go on over to Annabelle’s for homemade(sugar-free too!) chocolates! El Dorado is really showing up as a hot place to dine… next stop… newly improved Poor Red’s! See ya there!

This is a great little shop with good sandwiches and not too spendy. However, they close really really early and don’t give a fair warning they are going to do so.

LOVETHISPLACE. Love the atmosphere inside, the AMAZING staff and the charm of their«honor system» coffee. It’s such a brilliant idea for people in a rush or just passing through. Walk-in, put your money in the tray and take the coffee you need! I will be back to try more things on their menu after stopping in for first time after BLINDLY passing it by for months! Don’t be like me, GOTOBUZZ!

Delicious sandwich for lunch – seriously. And the ladies behind the counter made the two halves of the sandwich separately for my four year old and and me – per our preferences. They also offered various off-menu choices for her – such kind service. We will be back!

Oh Yeay! A great spot in El Dorado! «Harvest rice»(like pumpkin soup with wild rice) is delicious! Sandwich is loaded, with some great choices. I got a garlicky spread, all the veggies, capers, and turkey. I got gluten free bread, which was nice, crumbly but delicious, and since I usually have to go without, I didn’t care, so satisfying. If you’re in a hurry, coffee is quick, no line. The owner and women helping her are delightful. Gotta try it! Can’t wait to go back, try more things!

This is a great little coffee house in El Dorado. The Americano and cinnamon pecan strudel I had were excellent. They make a lot of the food themselves and have a lunch menu of sandwiches, soups and salads in addition to the pastries you might expect from a coffee shop. The place is small, cozy and comfortable. With soft lights and six wooden tables. The bathroom is clean and works well. I didn’t bring my computer with me today, but it seems like it would be a good place to work as well(if they don’t mind). Their tables have ample space for laptop and mouse and all tables are in easy reach of outlets. Their wifi network is respectably fast at about 20 Mbps down and 3.8 up(according to ).

I wish I had found this place sooner! Stopped in for lunch and a coffee. What a treat! I had the harvest rice soup. It’s like a butternut squash soup with rice in it and croutons on top… Yummy! I also had a caramel macchiato and a cookie. The owner asked whether I wanted my drink more sweet or more coffee. I said more coffee, and she made it just the way I like it. The place was«buzzing» at lunch time, but the girls behind the counter kept up and everyone got served in a timely manner. Definitely coming back here!

My husband and I stopped in here on the way home from Tahoe(yes not a direct route home, LOL) We were greeted by some of the nicest ladies and the owner who makes some fabulous sandwiches and homemade spreads that she uses on them. They also have coffee and tea drinks and she made me a really nice and spicy Chai tea latte. I got a veggie sandwich and hubby one of the meat creations and both were absolutely a few of the best sandwiches we have ever had. The spread she used on the sandwich inspired me to make veggie sandwiches at home and I bought a tub of it when we left and let me tell you it made some great wraps and sandwiches at home as well. This has to be one of the best small town finds I have found in a long time. They are so friendly and accommodating and have something for everyone here. I will be back!

I was searching for a café with healthy food, and found the Main Street Buzz. I had the Thai Chicken Soup, the Roasted Turkey sandwich, a White Mocha Caramel iced latte and a wonderful fresh baked Cookie. The food was superb, and the friendly atmosphere made everything that much better. Thank you very much Brookee and the girls!

I was in this very small town(El Dorado) for business, as lunch time near I wasn’t sure if I would find a decent place to eat. So I search Unilocal and found a place called«The Buzz Coffee House & Café» It had some great reviews and decided to give it a try. As I walked in I was greeted with a great big welcome and a wonderful smile.(I felt like I was home and greeted by family) I told the lady it was my first time and she asked how I found this place and I said« Unilocal» she was so excited she ran to the kitchen to tell the owner Brooke, she asked me to have a seat anywhere and while I review the menu. Brooke came out from the kitchen to welcome me to her establishment and asked what I would like to drink, «I will take an Arnold Palmer» she looked puzzled and I said«Half Ice Tea and half Lemonade» she said«I don’t have lemonade but you know what I will make some»(Who does that these days) I will tell you who«Family» that’s exactly how she made me feel. As I proceeded to order I asked for a Spicy Tuna Sandwich and their famous Thai Soup, when the food arrived it looked delicious I tried the soup first and it exceed my expectations the sandwich was exceptional yes I said exceptional. Brooke said how do you like it? I told her«I mean this from the bottom of my heart and happy stomach that was amazing». She was so happy to hear that. She said«I make everything fresh including all my dressing, I try to use all organic». Well let me tell you it showed, you could taste the passion she has for her creations in each dish, she then made me a really good caramel molt which they are magicians of coffees and malts.(If you order any iced coffee take a look at the ice cubes) :) In conclusions I have another theory of why her food taste so good her passion and love behind it all is all part of each dish. I highly, I mean highly recommend this place to anyone passing threw here, for anyone near the Bay Area or Sacramento it’s worth the drive, I will definitely be back again. P.S My apologies ladies for not remembering all your names. Best experience and thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality.

OMG! by far the best sandwich in gold country, coming from the Bay Area I read the review comparing to Ike’s in sf, and WOW! These sandwiches really do compare if not better. On top of that I went close to closing and the ladies were more than happy to serve me with a smile, THANKYOUBUZZ, this is my goto sandwich spot, no more unhappy ARCHERSMEATMARKET people. Also ordered my wife a Asian chicken salad, FYI there garlic artichoke spread is to die for a must have!

Holy moly. So, we have been coming here for a couple of months now for company meetings and we got the usual coffee and smoothies. Typical things. The smoothies are great! You got two choices and two choices only. A Fruit Smoothie or a Fruit Smoothie w/Veggies. Not really sure what fruits go in it or the veggies that go in it, if you order that one, but its great. I’m not a coffee drinker, so the rest of the drink menu I have no say on nor would I be a reliable customer to ask how it is. Haha. The sandwiches, HOLY. SH*T. Sorry for the cursing. In the words of my partner«Its so good, it’ll make you slap your mother.» Haha. Hands down, probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my whole entire life, and trust me, as a fat kid, foodie, and fat kid, that says a lot. I have had tons of sandwiches, the best being in San Francisco from a little place called Ike’s near the Castro. Living in Sacramento, you don’t have many mom and pop places to choose from, and even some of those places are«meh.» I had the Italian Roast Beef on a torta with capers, lettuces, tomatoes, artichoke, cucumbers, and garlic spread. So good. Now, it could be because I am pretty hungry today, but it was pretty darn good. Will most definitely come back here again for sandwiches, no more ghetto market shop across the street(Sorry if you read this to whoever works there, Haha)

I just love this place. The sandwiches are so good(italien roast, turkey, veggies are my favorite ones). My favorite home made spreads are the garlic one with artichokes or the chutney. I love as well to have my one or two shots espresso in a little cup(I m french and i can tell you this is the best espresso in the area). their home made pastries are also delicious. not to mention people there are really nice ! try this place you won’t regret it !
