I used to laugh of the name of this place, for being a fake in n out. Until my boy took me here to eat, he’s my buddy in Unilocal, but anyways this place pretty much ripped off the menu from in n out, but made it their own, it really works for them, I definitely enjoyed the food from here it was really tasty, I had their cheeseburger with extra dressing, I prefer my burger dry because I can’t digest anything soggy, but the burger was quite good, I am definitely coming back and recommend this place to all in n out lovers. You will not be dissapointed. The cash only thing is no big deal, I don’t care what age you live in you should alwas carry change, or cash with you. Don’t let technology run your life. wake up refuse, and resist

Great cheese burger. Fresh grease in the fryer. Very fast service and they were nice. Definitely will be back. Only complaint is that they only take cash.

Big D is something similar to In N Out. When I dont feel like driving, I go up the street to Big D. The burgers are good, and so are the fries. The only down side here is that it is cash only. They also have specials a few days out of the week so if you are low on cash, you can still get a full meal here!

I really liked their version of In-N-Out’s animal fries. I think their version is even better! The burger was similar, but not as juicy as In-N-Out’s. Mostly I like the name of the place and telling people that I’m going to eat«Big D» haha. Cash only is a bit of a bother, but there is an ATM there. Haven’t been back since it’s out of the way for me. Will definitely try to make it back so to continue to compare and contrast.

This mom and pop place has been here ever since I can remember. Ive been coming here for over 25 years. An bomb diggity is the beat way to describe it. Tastes fresh just like In n Out but its less expensive. Their burgers are very good.

Does anyone know the actual number to this place? I ordered two chicken sandwiches with onion rings and animal fried through drive thru and I drove all the way home to monterey park in 5 o clock traffic only to open up my bag and find the wrong order has been given to me… its not like i can just drive back its so far from me. im trying to call them to see how this can be fixed but this is a disconnected number.

I been going to Big-Ds since i was a little girl. Personal i think the wide animal fries are 100% better then In-Out. The place looks old already tho. But never judge a book by its cover… Try it:)

I have been driving by this place for over 30 years but had never stopped by. Recently I made a comment to my with that they had a sign stating that Thursday thru Sunday they had a $ 1.19 hamburger. She said she had been there many times with friends and that it was pretty good. If you see this place, it’s not very appealing but when my father-in-law mentioned that it tasted like In N Out, I thought it was a little bit of a stretch. Today we decided to try it and I must say that it does taste like In N Out. For less than $ 5 we got two burgers [I added cheese to mine] and an order of fries. Will have to see what else they have there. But for a couple of delicious burgers, you can’t go wrong at Big D

Pros: Short wait time The food Is good, tasted almost identical to in n out, and i love in n out. Cons: Dirty and rundown Cash only Portions are pretty much the same, if not smaller. The price is about the same.

I love this place! I live about 10 minutes from Baldwin Park’s In N Out, so when I am in the mood for a cheeseburger with grilled onions PLUS chili cheese fries, I’m here!

Not bad, not bad at all. For over 20 so years I heard about Big D as the competition to In&ouT … It was an urban legend to me till I finally tried it. Man it’s pretty good … Very good … Don’t chicken out on this

Like all the other reviews stated, a good substitute if you’re too impatient with the In-N-Out line. The cheese burger was good, but not on par with In-N-Out. However, the selling point of this place is getting the gargantuan box of wild animal fries. Even their normal sized fries’ side was offered in bigger proportion than the classic franchise. So if you’re craving ONLY animal fries and a lot of it, I’d highly recommend this place.

Big D did not disappoint. In’N’Out is a high mark to aim for and in my opinion they hit. Their burgers are well prepared, juicy, and flavorful. Besides the regular burger and fries I also ordered their chili cheese fries. They look a little gross, nasty color, but they tasted really good. My only complaint would be that they are a little on the slow side, but nothing too bad. I look forward to returning again.

Not exactly like In-N-Out but a decent price. On Thursday and Sundays the burger is only 1.19. Not bad for an imitator, but nothing like the actual thing.

Was craving a burger… Kinda wanted In-N-Out, but didn’t want to drive too far and I remember that I bookmarked this place. It’s right on the corner of Valley and Durfee so it was super close to my BF’s house. The place looks super run down, but that doesn’t bother me if the food tastes good. They have a drive-thru, but we didn’t know exactly what we wanted so we decided to go inside. The place has like maybe 4 tables? So not a big place at all. We decided to get a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and wild animal fries. Cheeseburger looked like In-N-Out and the taste was pretty close to it, but there’s something about In-N-Out that makes it better. Chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. It had everything a cheeseburger had, but had a crunchy chicken patty instead. Wild animal fries was pretty similar to In-N-Out’s, but In-N-Out still wins in that category.

So it’s not an IN N OUT… it’s an ENTEROUT. A for originality there. This place is somewhat of a treasure to me. It’s located on a busy intersection, but never seems to be too busy. Maybe because people would rather get IN-N-OUT? haha I don’t know, but the burgers here do taste pretty similar. I’d say the main difference between them is the bun and patty. Like IN-N-OUT, they toast a white bun to sandwich there ingredients, but this bun seems to be little fluffier/thicker…or maybe because the patty is a little bit thinner. Either way, for 1.09 I can’t really complain too much. They too have thousand island sauce and grilled onions, tomatoes, and lettuce in between their buns and that’s all good to me. I also like that they have other options on their menu besides burgers. I would probably never try anything else, but if you are in the mood for a quick hot dog or tamale… I’m sure this place wouldn’t be a bad option. What really made me lol in the car was that they have their own version of animal style fries… if the name of this establishment isn’t original enough… the fries are called«WILDANIMALFRIES» hahaha. Way to make it your own there buddy. I’m pretty sure none of their ingredients are as fresh as their more famous competitor, like I’m positive they don’t have sacks and sacks of potatoes in the back ready to make those perfectly crisp and rectangular fries, but they do offer you peppers with your order. I wouldn’t nag on their ingredients too much anyways, you’re eating a burger… you’re probably not thinking about health too much. So overall, this place makes a decent burger for cheap, and extremely fast. You’re in El Monte… it’s this or McDonald’s, Tommy pastrami or some other drive-in that you’ve never heard of. At least with this place you know you’re getting as close to IN N OUT as possible, with out driving a mere ten minutes to get the real thing. Hah.
