The wife and I went the other night… She was really impressed with the expanded menu at this location… hey also have a Buffalo’s Chicken … She ordered the Asian Sesame Chicken Tenders … The tenders were hot and fresh and had plenty of good flavor… For me I had the burger and it was great… it was hot and fresh … and they really piled on the bacon … The staff was real nice. the place was super clean … which is great … it also means i don’t have to drive to Hollywood to get my Fatburger fix and deal with all the crazy people there…

Please tell me why I’m here, the only person in the drive thru and I’ve been waiting 13 minutes now for my veggie burger. Seems they forgot I’m sitting here waiting for my lunch. How long does it take to fry a Boca burger? I don’t like to give bad reviews. But I can’t comprehend bad service. Total time in the drive thru for me(being the only car) was 17 minutes

Gotta love spots with wifi. Everything I’ve had here has been good and this location also serves breakfast for cheap prices all day. I feel like everything on the menu is a little bit overpriced, but I haven’t had a bad meal here yet.

I went to Fat Burger after a closing shift at work because it’s literally in the same plaza. It was late at night like 11Pm? I parked to eat my food and I realized that my burger was cold ! Like it was sitting there already you know? It was not appetizing to eat a cold burger at all. It was my first time ever trying this location after hearing so many good reviews about it, i was disappointed. The onion rings as a matter of fact we’re really good. I won’t be back here unless it’s for onion rings. I suggest you don’t go late at night because you’re getting a cold burger !!!

Happy they opened a location close to my work. I even get a small discount because of it! This location is clean. The cashiers have always been friendly too! It takes a little bit longer to get my meal ready but that’s because they cook it to order, so I am totally okay with waiting! I’ll be back! ^__^

Pros: food was freshly made and great friendly service; place looks clean. Cons: very expensive Decided to try this place after half a year since it opens just so they have time to work out the kinks in the beginning as they are brand new burger joint replacing my usual place, Golden Ox. I ordered the medium fatburger with everything but mayo(cheese cost $ 0.75 extra) with skinny fries just to test it out; totalled to around $ 10+ for the meal. The meal looked well prepared on the metal tray along with the fries. Upon eating the burger, the pickle sauce was the most noticeable taste which was not bad. The patty tasted salty at first but it was nicely flame broiled. The burger was difficult to eat though despite being the smallest size available. Every time you held it and take a bite, bits of the insides fall out including the sauce even if I had the wrapping on it; despite that, it was alright, better than Tommy Chili burger or Mcdonald’s burger in the area but was never better than Art’s Burgers which was like a In-N-Out alternative; I liked Golden Ox burgers before the place was replaced with Fatburgers though, mainly because I got a bigger portion for better price and the burger actually had good flavoring with crispy bacon and the thousand island sauce mixed. The fries were well done and lightly salted. It was good. I would eat this place often if it weren’t for the price; seriously the price is way too expensive. Heard this place’s drive thru is open 24/7…that’s interesting.

Once upon a time(about 5 years ago) this little chain known as fat burger was actually pretty darn good. As a matter of fact it was a weekly tradition for me and my coworkers at the Santa Monica location before they moved. Then some years passed before I went to have it again in downtown LA. First thing I noticed was that they no longer just had the fat and king burger but now had about 4 different sizes to choose from. The add ons were about the same but the quality was no longer there. It was just okay but something really changed. My second try was at the new El Monte location was interesting to see opened. I got to say that after eating here, it’s fair to say that fat burger has gone down hill. The burgers simply don’t taste the same. They look sloppy and taste so blah. I don’t know what happened but I’ve seen this happen with other chained restaurants. It’s a shame because it really was good but alas something comes along and changes everything. Sadly this place is dead to me now and I have no plans to ever return.

It been a long time since I ate at a fatburger but I would go back to have a medium with cheese and egg. It tastes better than what it sounds.

After many nostalgic lunches going to Tommy’s Burger, I find myself in the opportunity to visit another nostaglic spot, which is Fatburger. It’s no question I love Tommy’s Burger for their chili more than any other burger joint. I actually didn’t remember what Fatburgers tasted like. This was my chance to try it out and compare it. Here is my evaluation. As a warm blooded Californian, with only simple options, I like my chili burger plan, with just the cheese meat and chili in between the bun. I also got the fat chili cheese fries for good high cholesterol slow esophagus flavor. The first things are notice are the difference between taste and texture. Let me start with taste. I have tasted chili similar to this type of chili. It has that hearty feeling that makes me think of the Chunky soup commercials. The feeling of heart attack intensity is not as strong as the one in Tommy’s that for sure. The burger actually reminded me more of a sloppy joe than anything else. The taste is consistend and good, but something about it wasn’t the chili that was great like Tommy’s. Tommy’s chili hands down wins in great taste, feeling of true guilt and desire packed in one burger. Texture of probably one different thing that widens the gap of how well Tommy’s burger is. On a Tommy’s Burger, I have every single bite with chili and trying to chase the chili from getting on to my shirt hanging on my beard. Fatburger’s definitely does not do that. The bun itself is so large and thick, it absorbs the goodness of the chili that it doesn’t ooze out. The chili itself just didn’t have the melting attribute that Tommy’s offers and doesn’t latch on to the bread and fries as it should. I am just more accustomed to a gritty and dirty burger like Tommy’s that this is too clean, i’m at a confusion of what to think of this burger. I didn’t have to brace myself for this burger. It wasn’t overwhelming. Everytime I am at Tommy’s I feel guilty going because I am hugely full. I didn’t get the same response. I felt fat leaving eating what I ate, but I wanted to feel obese, and that’s generally what I wanted. haha. When you want to cheat for cheat day, you go full Nelson. This is only half of the nelson. I do thank the establishment and happy it still has survived. Thank you.

Disappointed I was excited for this place to open. Wings sucked I asked for Cajun dry rub and they just sprinkled a little on top and the wings were small and dry. My brother ordered a burger and didn’t even finish it because he didn’t like it(he usually eats 2 burgers anywhere!!) The only thing I did like were the fries. Skinny fries. Customer service was good but doesn’t make up for the lack of taste.

My gf and I were house and dog sitting for her sister and her bf, and we found this restaurant on the corner near their house. I’m always down for a burger, so we stopped in and I ordered the XXXL meal. I had no idea there was a challenge. I was just extremely hungry. So they notified everyone there that there was a challenger and clapped. We received our order… 1XXXL burger and fries 1 fat burger no mustard, light relish small fries and spicy wings. I destroyed the burger in like 5 min. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had from a fast food restaurant. It tasted as if it came right off the bbq grill. Amazing! I received my challenge certificate and got my photo posted on the wall next to the other fat burger eaters. Haha. Great place for a burger and will definitely come here again. Just for the burger. Not the wings or fries. :)

New burger place that just opened. Previously known as Golden Ox is now Fat Burger! Dang I’ve been waiting so long for a good burger place to open up in El Monte. This place is completely remodeled and looks spectacular! I mean too good to be in El Monte. Anyways good thing it’s here. The service here is average, but the food is great. I would say the cashiers need to step it up a bit. It’s not that hard to take an order correctly. I asked for my burger to have extra eggs, but he forgot. Besides that minor mistake, the food was on point. Great quality burgers and fast service. Just need some quality staff to make this perfect.

I thought they were getting rid of fat burgers, but glad they brought one back near me! Let’s start off with the fries, I love fat fries! Especially these ones, they were thick but still crispy! Yummy!!! My friends and I came here for wings actually. They were really good, way better than wing stop.(big pieces too) The flavors of the wings were on point. They were also really nice and brought our food to our table for us. Most fast food places don’t do that. Actually never, right? This place brought us our food and even asked us if we needed anything else. They were so nice! Another + star for service. I also ordered a milkshake which was delicious, and that’s not even the best part. They are 24hours drive thru!!! You don’t need to go to plain McDonald’s or Jack In the box. You can come here for restaurant style wings and burgers! Yums!

Great I’m Actually glad a Fat burger opened up near my area, I haven’t had a XXL and Fat fries in a long time New to some old to others(: I used to love this place down in orange county and I’m glad its up here too now. If you want a big f’ing burger this is the place you pay for what you get and then some, Trust me a XXL will fill you up but if you are daring go for the XXXL. BTW, Pual had one of the best customer service attitudes around and thanks again for our meal.

Yes! Finally, Fatburger returns to the 626! As fans know, there is a serious lack of Fatburgers in the 626. When I saw that a Fatburger location opened up near me, I had to go. There are reviews complaining about price and what-not, but my conclusion is that this Fatburger is on par with any other location I have been to.

I had a large burger meal with fat fries and a drink. The medium drink is $ 2, which is overpriced, but the fries were more than generous. I requested my burger with no pickles and no relish, and what I ended up receiving was pretty unappetizing. The patty was very dry, and there was too much mustard and not enough mayo; my experiences at other fatburger joints far exceed this one in terms of food preparation. I will have to stay away from this location until they get things straightened out. For the price I paid, I could have gotten two far tastier hamburger meals at in-n-out.

Horrible! Horrible!!! Horrible!!! I waited in the drive through with only one car in front of me for more than 30 minutes absolutely nuts! When the lady in front of me finally got to the window. She hands over her money and the cashier lets it go and the there is flying money I front of my car. Then the cashier has the nerve to have the customer get out of her car to get it. Since there was a kid in the car she got out and scrambled to find the money part of it was under my car. After still having to wait another 10 min. I had had enough I wasn’t going to give them my money. You would have thought they were short handed but I must of counted at least six people behind the counter. With this type of services I don’t think they are going to make it.
