Here on Sunday to pickup food that we ordered for a party. Fried chicken, potato wedges and carnitas… Good was awesome!!! However, I decided to buy some extra food from the take out area and took a number… I waited like a good citizen then finally asked«what number are you on.» Well, the lady told me that they were not using the numbers bc she did not know how to work the number sign. I then asked at what point was she going to tell all«us people» that had taken a number and was waiting to be called that they were not using the numbers? She simply apologized and told me to take it up with the manager. BADCUSTOMERSERVICE! I then told the lady that all she had to do was call out the numbers to see who was next, collect the number, and then service the next customer… «Old school»!. She didn’t say a thing so I did! Before I knew it people were telling me that I should get a job there, since the employees did not know how to work the line. At this point I laughed and told them that I just want my food, so I can leave but that they can continue«the fight»! They laughed and I left!

This place just opened near my job! Wanted to check this place out after work to get some groceries. Located in the new plaza on valley and Santa Anita, around the area. New parking structure, has pet smart, Ross, Starbucks, jack in the box. Plenty of parking space. Everything inside is new and has fresh produce. I ended getting packs of meat which was pretty cheap. Gonna come back here for groceries next time!

I went in to this superior to cash in my WIC vouchers with my wife and spent maybe about an hour until I got to the register and a cashier told me they didn’t cash WIC. Why don’t they have signs posted stating that. What a waste of time, I’m sticking to NORTHGATE.

In a newly renovated plaza and this place is already packed with people. This store is clean and organized. Good deals in the deli and meat section. They have pre-made meals ready to go and marinated meat to buy and cook at home. I bought 2 huge salmon steak for about $ 7! I also like their selection of wines.

It’s still new, so everything is super organized and clean. It’s got lots of parking spaces. One downside though was that some staff were kind of rude/unhelpful, at least the two I interacted with. Other than that, a pretty good store!

Best superior I’ve ever been to!!! The plaza is completely remodeled and it’s so much nicer. The superior is huge and the prices are so cheap. The experience was so pleasant. Everyone was friendly. I definitely will be back again. Plenty of parking. It’s in the same plaza as the Starbucks on the corner of valley and Santa Anita! Cheap and fresh produce!

Yesterday i had a great experience at the bakery section of the market. Her name was Audery. This young woman was the friendliest, helpful and was willing to do anything to make me a satisfied customer. Well i was satisfied and because of her actions i will return to this market. Keep up the good work!

My husband surprised me and offered to stop at the brand new Superior Grocers. He is not a supermarket person… at all. I think he wanted to put at smile on my face. What a terrific supermarket. We live in alhambra. .and I either go to Pico Rivera or Montebello Superior. This will now be my go to Superior. LESCO in the meat department is sensational. He was absolutely the best butcher I have ever come across. I asked for 3 lbs of unmarinated Ranchera. He weighed a handful and the scale read 3.18. He asked me if I wanted him to cut a piece. Are you kidding? Of course not… i told him… but what butcher would even ask. Also… I wanted a piece of Queso Fresco, but I am picky and wanted Los Altos or Don Francisco. .he actually came around to the front of the counter to show me the brands. .really…you don’t have to do all that. He asked my name and was absolutely the friendliest butcher I have ever dealt with… thank you LESCO… because of you… I will be back. Also… Alma the lady that bagged my groceries. …but only a benefit during the grand opening was so sweet and helpful… everyone was happy and friendly… yes, it was crowded and the parking lot was full… but it was the grand opening. …and I appreciate friendliness and helpfulness… you can’t beat this market. I will be back.

So far so good but its only opening week… Time will tell only thing is the parking very packed… But I’m happy we have another grocery store and plaza because Northgate is getting pricey and parking is bad too and seems like the cops are always there doesn’t feel safe anymore

This is the newest market in El Monte, less than a year ago was a Edward Theater actually. They open this market quite fast and was one of the first store to open in this new plaza together with Petco. Everything here is new included the shopping cart. The stuff they sell is kinda like food 4 less and nortgate combine. They has some good deal here, probably due to opening promotion. There was pretty of checkout line even at late night hours, which is good. Hope they keep it that way. I hate when most market only keep 1 or 2 cashier at night.

A very busy, but organized grand opening! This newly opened store is right next to the soon-to-be Ross and is in the same shopping center as Starbucks and Petco. Consistent with other Superior markets: Bakery, flowers, ice, fish, to-go options, and freshly made tortilla! (+) The«door busters» included prizes(TV, refrigerator, a Ram 1500 truck) and lots of grocery items cheaper than usual. They were mostly fully stocked(even at 8PM) so it wasn’t disappointing since they were prepared for the crowd. They also had a makeshift /convenient register cart which made for faster checkout (Which subsequently annoyed customers who waited much longer– Darwinism concept full blown in real life!) (-) If you’re looking to purchase a few items, it may not be a good idea during the first few days of the grand opening since they don’t have express lanes. (-) The crowd that it attracts is similar to Black Friday– too many high expectations like wanting fully wrapped boxes of Nongshim noodles, chicken that can be chopped up further when it was wrapped up, and a lady telling me I’m in the wrong line although she unfortunately didn’t find the shorter line and waited longer. Haha
