Great tacos, awesome assortment of salsas, but getting a little on the pricey side, but tacos are premium

Chicken adobado and all the salsa is to die for. Best spicy Mexican food! Made my trip to El Paso worth it, I wish they had a branch in Houston

I had the quesadilla. And it was just«meh» My husband had the barbacoa tacos and he loved them. Salsa bar was the best part. Not that impressive for Mexican.

Taco tote was a nice find. the place is huge I mean huge. noisy with families children and people enjoying food. the taco bar excuse me the salsa bar is incredible. lots of sauces lots of vegetables very nice. the chips at the front counter are a bit clunky, barely adequate. I had carne asada taco plate. 8 little tortillas and enough meat and vegetables to make eight little tacos. And all that for eight bucks. I would like to try more items on their menu, as the crowd was huge and the people were very happy, so was I

Went there on a Friday night with a large party and we found a table for everyone though they were crazy busy. We tried a sample of the meats in taco form and it was all tasty. I’m not from El Paso so I thought it was a stand alone restaurant but later learned it is a franchise. The salsas were all tasty, and for as busy as it was, the place was clean and orderly. If ever back in El Paso, I will try again.

Best Mexican grill! Love the pork adobado tacos… can’t seem to get anything else. Their quesadillas are yummy too!

The food was pretty good, wish they had more food on the menu though! As far as this location goes, it was clean and had a lot of seating. The salsa bar had a great variety and the guacamole sauce was SO good! If you take it to go, make sure you check for everything… they said sour cream would come with quesadilla, it didn’t):

This place is on my must-visit list every time I come in to town. I am even upset thinking that it will be so long until I get to eat here again. Shrimp tacos are my favorite and I love the endless chips and variety of salsas — which are always fresh.

This is the best place for tacos. The meat was cooked just right. Service was fast and peeps are very attentive to your request. A must for my family when we are in El Paso.

Every trip I go on to El Paso, El Taco Tote is a MUST go-to for lunch. Authentic Mexican taco stop, complete with the fresh salsa bar. They hand-press their tortillas fresh when you order them, the food is always piping hot, and the prices are decent. Never had a bad meal here– and their guacamole is to die for! A great quick cheap lunch spot for the whole family!

I do like their food don’t get me wrong but the charge TOO much! $ 3 for one taco is a little high for something I can make at home.

I only get to come here about once a year when visiting my family. Even after a 11 – 12 hour drive from So Cal… this is our first stop. Ppl keep talking to me about Chico’s Tacos(sorry compa, tastes like dishwater) I guess you have to be an EP native. Taco Tote is the S$%^T. The tortillas are like butta baby! I have never come up on a rude or disinterested employee. It sure gets packed on Sundays with the real mexican crowd. As for us Chicanos, we just try to get in where we fit in. The salsa is always fresh and the place is clean. I take all my Cali first timers here as soon as we pull off the 10fwy. We have been known to get our food to go and then sit up on the scenic point and just enjoy El Paso. You dont know how lucky you are until a cousin has to make a drive from a fully latino city like LA to come and get some really really good tacos!!! As for the prices… Im from Los Angeles where everything from Gas to Diapers is way overpriced! Ill bite the bullet and take it in the wallet for this place. There is only one thing that beats Taco Tote in my book and thats… L. A ‘s own original IN N OUT Burgers… maybe one day we can trade huh EP? Some animal style fries for some carnitas?

I am a fan. What can I say, I’m from the North and the best fast food tacos I have are Taco Bell. I got the shrimp tacos tote and it was good stuff. I’m also a salsa whore so that helped seal the deal. Their salsas/sauces all were fresh, the tacos were«Mexican» style and really tasty, and even the potato I got was damned good. I actually have nothing negative to say about this joint; I just can’t give it a 5 star because it’s a chain, and I can’t compare it to anything else here in El Paso yet. I did live in Mexico for 6 months, and it was as good if not better than anything I had there, so I do know my Mexicano foods.

it’s decent place to get your fill of chips and salsa. but that’s about it. the pico de gallo didn’t look very fresh or appetizing. the guacomole sauce was watery and flavorless. the cucumbers were soggy as for the tacos. the tortillas are a bit thick and too large. i prefer my corn tortillas smaller and double stacked… the fish taco is disgusting. but the pork one was ok. the mexican rice tasted like uncle ben’s. and the refried beans tasted canned. it’s also overpriced for what you’re getting. and since you’re in el paso. there are plenty of other taquerias that make tastier tacos and a cheaper price.

Oh man the tacos at El Taco Tote is sooooooooo good! There are only about 6 different types of tacos you can get, and trust me they are all good! I also love the quesadillas here, the cheese is perfectly melted, its mouthwatering and you absolutely must get the flan, I cannot emphasize this enough. IFYOUDONOTGETTHEFLANTHETERRORISTSMIGHTASWELLWIN! BEWARNED: The food does take a very long time to get prepared, but you can’t rush perfection. This does make for unbearable drive-thru waits, so I recommend coming inside, where at least you can enjoy the condiments bar and munch on some cucumbers with lime and salsa! This particular location has a very ample dining room, which comes in handy during the very heavy dinner times. I dunno if its to recreate the authentic Mexican experience, but you will be solicited, that’s probably the most annoying part of the El Taco Tote experience. Bottom Line: Excellent Tacos and Quesadillas, Great Snack/Salsa Bar, and Yummy Flan more than justifies the slightly high prices.
