Amazing homemade cookies, without having to clean up the messy kicthen. We went while ago with family, it is so cute inside. Outside seating was great! Excellent experience all around the young lady greeted us with a friendly hello and the cookies were delicious. My two choices I picked, was the white chocolate chip & original chocolate chip both were fantastic.

Stopped by after passing several times. I got a dozen assorted cookies that was around $ 22. Peanut butter, the half PB half chocolate ones, one with m&ms, & a few others. I have to say for the price, I was definitely not impressed. The cookies were just«okay». The staff was nice. My daughter commented how she wasn’t impressed either & she’s a kid. So if the cookies don’t impress a kid, that’s saying something. I gave three stars because the staff was courteous.

I love this place! The lemon surprise cookie is one of the best cookies I have ever had. My only complaint is that they have certain cookies on certain days :-(anyways the cookies are home made in the store and they run out, by the end of the night there is not much left to choose from. I love that you can buy a box or just 1 cookie.

Wonderful service the girls here are just excellent and were very kind to my daughter after she had a traumatizing experience at the phlebotomist. I would highly recommend this place to anybody with an upset child or anybody who’s upset to begin with themselves.

I always pass this place when I stop by Kohls. I finally stopped in. Nice little shop. A petite little girl helped me. I ordered a cookie sandwich, with chocolate chip cookie, and white chocolate with vanilla ice cream in the middle. I gotta say I wasn’t impressed. The cookie was delicious but the ice cream didn’t taste like vanilla ice cream, it tasted more watered down. I might go in for the cookies but not a fan of the ice cream.

These cookies are definitely a treat for me, they are very delicious! My two favorite cookies are the crackle and the white chocolate almond. The cookies do get sweet after a few bites so you definitely need to enjoy them with a glass of milk/water. Keep in mind that certain cookies are only made on specific days. For example, the crackle cookie is not baked on Wednesday. However, you can always call to double check or if you place a large enough order the staff will work with you to best fit your requests!

We’ve been to this place a few times. Great place to get cookies in Elk Grove. Located on the corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road. When you walk in you will see a bunch of different cookie jars decorating the shop. A glass case with the various cookie assortment. They have a wall with the list of cookies they have available each day(daily specials). Smells great in there with the aroma of cookies in the air. Now the hard part is trying to decide what cookies you’d like to get. The cookies are a bit on the pricey side. I am not sure if the ownership of the place changed, but I noticed the cookies aren’t quite the same as before. They are not as soft as they were before. But still good. We like to get a baker’s dozen each time we go in to buy cookies. The family loves cookies — who doesn’t. The fav for the family is the old fashion chocolate chip cookie. A new one that my hubby & son like is the Macadamia Nut Chip cookie — tastes good and not too sweet. I personally like the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie(my 2 favs in one cookie). I am glad to see they are still in business. Have been around for some time.

Came in during a weekday night, before they were about to close. It’s a pretty small shop, with a decent selection of cookies(I was honesty expecting more, but they might have put some away/sold out since they were going to close soon). The cashier was pretty friendly as well. At first when I tried some of the cookies I bought, I was a bit underwhelmed. It was a good cookie, but nothing memorable. However, I’m snacking on the cookies now(a day later after I bought them) and they somehow taste a lot better. They’re not very chewy, which I like. I’ll definitely come back to try other cookie flavors out!

I just ate ice cream sandwich from here and I want to go back for another!!! It’s late in the day, so I get it, the cookie choices are at a minimum. There were only oatmeal raisin, white chocolate cranberry oatmeal, lemon, wheat chocolate chip almond, and this pink one that might have been a raspberry something. I ordered one of each oatmeal cookie by themselves and one of each for my ice cream sandwich. The minute I bit into the ice cream sandwich, my happy food dance began. The cookies were baked to perfection. Soft and chewy, but baked through. The oatmeal raisin was good, traditional, and everything I want in an oatmeal raisin cookie. It was also slightly crisp along the edges for a little crunch. Ugh. The white chocolate cranberry oatmeal was just sweet enough with the cranberry’s tartness offsetting the sweetness just enough. Both cookies were perfect with vanilla ice cream sandwiches inside. Sigh. I will no doubt be coming back to try their other cookie flavors! Update: I went a few minutes after they opened today because I had the cookie fever. I got the rascal, s’mores, chocolate chip no nuts, Krinkle no nuts, and two white chocolate cranberry oatmeal cookies again because they’re so good! My favorite(besides the white choatmeal) is the Rascal. Soft creamy peanut butter and chocolate swirled together for a few magical bites that’ll bring a happy tear to your eye. Next, I’d say the S’more. The chocolate chip was good but it didn’t wow me like the other flavors. The Krinkle, I could pass on, but I’ve never been too big a fan of cakey cookies and that cookie was definitely cakey to me. Whenever a cookie craving comes and I’m too lazy to bake them myself, I will be hitting this place up. Not too many cookie places impress me, but Cookie Jar, you’ve got my attention.

OBLIGATORYSTOP when I’m back home in Elk Grove :) The Cookie Jar is so awesome because every single day they have a different selection of decent-sized cookies under $ 2/each! Today, I got the snickerdoodle, rascal, peanut butter toffee, chocolate chip no nut and with nut, mint chocolate fudge, and white chocolate raspberry something idk but that one is MYFAVORITE. Highly recommend that and you can’t go wrong with snickerdoodle!!! And yeah… You bet I’m hoarding all of them for myself LOL. They just started making ice cream sandwiches a few years ago(wasn’t there when I last came through) and its basically vanilla ice cream sandwiched with any two cookies of your choice! Probably gonna take a fat box back home with me to SoCal cuz yeah the cookie game at this joint is on fleek. — V

While the trend nowadays makes for some interesting combinations, sometimes you just want an old fashioned cookie that reminds you of the kind your grandmother made. These are the types of cookies you will find at The Cookie Jar. Do you have a craving for a soft, chewy, melt in your mouth chocolate chip cookie? Look no further than The Cookie Jar! Every time I walk in I feel like I’ve stepped into my grandmother’s kitchen. It’s so warm and homey with the kitschy décor and the super friendly staff. Every cookie we’ve tried(peanut butter, snicker doodle, oatmeal, white chocolate, crackle, chocolate chip) has been superb! But my personal favorite is the white chocolate cranberry oatmeal. My BF and I literally fight over the last cookie every time! What was most impressive was when I casually mentioned that my niece had a nut allergy, they went to the back to get an individually packaged cookie that they purposely keep separate for those with allergies. That totally sealed the deal for me.

These cookies are alright they have different peanut butter kinds, one thing i forgot was the milk!!! Fml i bought«the raskal, almonds and white chocolate chip, the trio, peanut butter toffee» cookies are not bad but not as good as «goodietuchews» downtown cookie place. I would come again, the service was fast but not the friendliest. Try it out for ur self.

This is the cutest little cookie store! Run by an adorable elderly couple, this small business has some of the most delicious cookies in town! They have daily cookie specials and the regulars that they bake daily. All the cookies are always fresh. I like coming here for the ice cream sandwiches! They are perfect! Just the right amount of ice cream so that you don’t end up with a huge mess by the time you’re finished! The oatmeal raisin cookies are amazing.

I went into Cookie Jar looking for a specific kind of cookie for a themed gift basket. They DID sell the cookie I wanted, but unfortunately they only sell it on Mondays(they have a different variety of cookies for sale each day) and I came in on a Thursday. Oh well. I found something kind of similar to what I wanted, and they cost $ 1.65 each which is reasonable. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so Cookie Jar doesn’t get an automatic 5 stars just because«OMG! COOKIES!!” — but I came for cookies, bought cookies, and had a fine experience doing so. If you’re looking for a specific cookie, it may be best to call ahead and ask what cookies they’re selling that day.

OMG!!! This place is TDF!!! I had a huge craving for the chocolate crinkle cookie and this place delivered!!! The reason for the craving was partly due to the fact I was on facebook and saw a recipe of a holiday ginger chocolate crinkle cookie. I thought to myself I can do that but do I want to as I used to be able to get rid of the many cookies I’d use to make but now being retired and less people in our family that are alive now it’s not happening. The one thing I hate is that I purchased only one. Now that was really dumb! Thank goodness it was huge. I ate a half at a time. Just the right texture. Soft & sweet. Now maybe I need to make them… no! I still have yet to try the chocolate chip & snickerdoodle but if the chocolate crinkle was just as good I’m sure so will the rest of them. BTW these cookies are not cheap. They are 1.65 a pop! I do think the chocolate crinkle cookies are worth it Before I forget the place itself is tiny inside. There was a table and two chairs if you wish to sit and enjoy your cookies inside the store. I will definitely have to head back to this cookie store soon!!! And so will you guys! Now go!

On our search for ice cream sandwiches, we landed upon our last stop — Cookie Jar! Been here before many years ago but have never tried their ice cream sandwiches until now. I went for a crackle cookie sandwich. All sandwiches come with vanilla ice cream. They’re $ 4…which is really affordable considering one cookie is $ 1.65. The crackle cookies were fluffy and fresh, and not too sweet. I didn’t care if I had powdered sugar all over my face either. The sandwich wasn’t messy, plus one point for them. The crackle cookie is on the thicker side however so it would’ve been nice to have a bit bigger amount of ice cream. All in all, it was DELICIOUS!

«C Is For Cookie– Om nom nom nom. « I stopped in right when they opened– 9 o’ clock on the dot. There were a variety of cookies and I narrowed down my choices to 4. I took them home, where I enjoyed them with a glass of milk. The cookies were fresh, chewy, and soft. They were all good, but my favorite was the s’more, followed by the Rascal(chocolate/peanut butter), peanut butter toffee, and cranberry white chocolate oatmeal. The peanut butter toffee had very little toffee. Cookies are $ 1.65.(The s’more cookie was $ 1.75.) On different days of the week, you can expect different cookies.
