I would give 10 stars if I could!!! Soup was amazing!!! Veggie sandwich on gluten free bread was the freshest best thing ever. Why can’t more people make yummy«fast» food like this???

I order the Protein Salad multiple times a week and it is delicious. They make it so easy, because I’m able to call ahead and my salad is ready by the time I arrive.

We saw on Unilocal that this place had 5 stars, so we stopped in on our way to Seattle. The lady working the counter(the owner) I’m assuming was super friendly! She gave our dog a treat and had a couple of to go salads to show us. She was super helpful and gave us menu’s. After looking at the menu for about 2 seconds, my husband and I both knew what we wanted. He got a turkey and cranberry sandwich and I got a veggie sandwich. They were both delicious and very filling! Super healthy too which is always a plus in my book! Make sure to get a peanut butter cookie. To die for! We will definitely be returning! Lots of gluten free options too!

These two lovely ladies, welcomed me with so much warmth and love! This is going to be my weekly place! I had the bagel with cream cheese, the green blueberry shake, the panini godfather, a homemade granola bar and a fresh out the oven snicker doodle cookie! This is going to hold me over for the whole day!

Stopped here because of the reviews. It’s a funky drive thru with tasty, wholesome sandwiches. My husband had the Rachel(turkey Rueben) and I had the veggie sandwich to which I added turkey. My husband says it’s the best drive thru he’s ever been to because… it was truly homemade food, and a delicious sandwich. From my perspective, it was tasty and healthy. We will definitely stop by here again when we pass through E-burg. We’ll try to get there earlier so we can try the pastrami and the owner’s homemade cookies.

Just a passer-by to the town of Ellensburg. Came onto this place because of the 5 star review. I was skeptical but couldn’t pass it up. The location wasn’t expected, as its a drive through. Surprisingly, the service did not feel like it. I was handed menus right at the window and felt completely catered to like I was in a restaurant. She even filled our canteen! Felt like we had real genuine service which, these day, is hard to come by. The food was out of this world. Incredibly fresh tasting. You can tell the ingredients are quality! Overall, it was an easy 5 star. If you looking for a quick bite to eat that doesn’t break the bank, lunchbox café is a no-brainer.

Whenever we are traveling to Seattle from the Tri-cities we usually stop in Ellensburg. We have rarely ventured past the chain restaurants, but this time our stomachs couldn’t handle a processed meal. We were so lucky to find the Lunchbox Café. Amazing quality food and incredible service! My husband had the special the Reuben sandwich and he said it was one of the best Ruebens he had ever had. It was made with their homemade bread! I had the vegan sandwich with their amazing soup. Delicious! Our girls were very satisfied that they had their favorite sandwiches on their menu. A turkey and a grilled cheese. Their kids meals are awesome! And every item is very reasonably priced. We love this place and will be returning every time we visit Ellensburg. Thank you Lunchbox!

We stopped here for lunch. The lady who helped us was so very nice and helpful. Two of my co-workers got salads that they said were amazing. I was driving so I tried the tuna sandwich, which was very tasty. Great lunch spot!

The food was ok, not great. Some of the bread was dry. The Rueben was good but everything else was ok.

The 5 star reviews are spot on! We were driving home from a long weekend of camping and decided to stop in Eburg for lunch. I took a quick peek at Unilocal to get an idea of what was good in the neighborhood and Lunchbox Café came up as the only 5 star place in town. We were sold. Their parking lot is small and as we pulled in, we realized that there was no place to park. Just as we were about to circle the block and look for street parking, a woman came running out and pointed to her car and motioned for us to park there after she moved. I assumed she was a customer who was on her way out, but a few minutes later, the same woman greeted us behind the counter. Moving your car to give your customer’s front row parking? Now THAT is customer service! I can thin k of a few places who could take lessons in customer service from this place. Based on the previous reviews, I’m assuming this woman was Ros, the owner. She was so kind and helpful and seemed genuinely appreciative of our patronage. I ordered the red breast turkey sandwich and a tropical smoothie, the hubs ordered the pastrami & mustard sandwich and a coffee. We shared a marionberry oat bar. Everyhing was outstanding! The bread was fresh, the smoothie was delicious and the marionberry bar was to die for! We will DEFINITELY return next time we’re passing through Eburg. Canyon Park in Bothell could use a place like this.

Everything is wonderfully fresh and the staff is friendly. We had the veggie sandwich, pastrami sandwich, green smoothie and quinoa tabbouleh salad and local homebrew iced coffee. All A+. We arrived in from a long trip over from Montana and received a warm greeting of hello. Thanks to the owner!

We read the reviews and decided to stop in on our road trip through town. Glad we did. The owner and her daughter were there making the atmosphere exactly what we were hoping for. A local joint run by local family. We both ordered salads which were stellar and fresh. We liked the food so we ordered again and left with a coconut cupcake, Godfather Panini, and iced cold brew coffee. All fantastic choices as we nibbled down the road to Seattle. Oh and check out the fresh garden plants they had growing in planters all around the place.

I really wanted to love this place. As a gluten intolerant individual, it’s a challenge to find fun lunch places. Let me start with what I loved; the décor was charming, the menu healthy and fresh and best of all, home made gluten free bread! It was delightful. However, there is room for improvement, largely as regards the awkward service. There’s really no mechanism for letting patrons know that their food is ready once they sit down, so the person running the counter just grabs the nearest person in line and asks them to deliver food to random strangers. A PA system would easily resolve this issue. The standout quality of The Lunchbox is the inordinate detail of the food that rewards diners with almost every selection. It’s only a few simple business/functional issues that keep this gem in the rough from shining.

Just stopped in for something«different» than the normal«burger» for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the menu! — and what a treat to meet«Ros» ! It looks like there is only a drive-thru but there is a walk-up window and a nice covered patio area to sit. I had the Salmon on a bagel. Wow! Outstanding! — It came with a zip-lock baggie full of fresh crinkle-cut chips(just like my mom did for me in grade school). I was too full to try anything else but I did«find room» for a snicker doodle. OMG! I will definitely make this a stopping point every time I pass through. All you«burger places better watch out! — The mom and pop stores are coming back in full force! Can’t wait to go back…

After reading all the Unilocal reviews I decided to check this place out… and it did not dissapoint whatsoever! First thing I noticed were how reasonable the prices are… only $ 4 for a fresh smoothie(with no added sugar)! Whent for a pesto penni on whole grain bread, it hit the spot, overall would recommend this place to anyone but espicially those who are health conscious!

She is back open again! She offered to let our toddler pick cherry tomatoes while we waited for our food, which was really sweet! She also gave us access to water for dogs, which was great. I had the Reuben sandwich, which had plenty of meat, lightly dressed, and great melted cheese. It was on a hearty bread, nicely toasted, too. The accompanying potato chips satisfied my salty craving, without overdoing it on the portion. I was delighted that she had a green smoothie option — the spinach, blueberries, & bananas were a hit all around. So, stop by. You’ll leave full, and feel great about the food choices that you made!
