The whole dinner we ordered was extremely salty, like it wasn’t even tolerable and the pizza was just horrible and to top it all off they took forever to deliver. Will never order from here again.

NEVERAGAIN! Pasta: mushy garlic bread: squeeze it, see how much oil drips out. How do you screw up garlic bread! 3 entrees, 1 order mozzarella Stix $ 69 and change. All in the trash bin. NOT happy.

I just discovered Delio’s and boy am I glad I did! I’ve only ordered a couple times however I could tell right away that somebody cares about the food they’re sending out on delivery. I ordered three sandwiches and all of them were jammed full of meat and tomatoes veggies exc. One of the sandwiches actually had sliced artichokes and black olives on it and the bread was nice and soft and compressible making it easy to get your jaw around it and dig into that salami and cheese. Actually half the sandwich is pretty much all you need for a meal since its so big. The crinkle cut fries are delicious as well. I also tried an Italian beef sandwich which was choked with thin sliced very nicely seasoned beef along with thinly sliced sauteed red peppers which allowed me to have peppers in pretty much every bite. This is the one of the very few places that put out a beef sandwich that can compete with Portillos in my opinion. Not to mention they even go to the trouble of giving you a plastic container filled with hot beef gravy au jus to dip your sandwich in. Who does that? It was a real pleasure to eat at delio’s. I will be returning with my appetite and anxious to try other items. I’m also anxious to try their homemade soups which one of them is lobster bisque which very unusual for a pizza sandwich restaurant to offer. Their menu is huge and quite extensive and I’m looking forward to trying their ribs and broasted chicken. I suggest you check them out. The lady that I dealt with there was very pleasant and patient. I think she was the owner.

Cannot understand how Elmhurst manages to attract so many mediocre restaurants — but this is just another of the bunch — clearly staff(and patrons) don’t know what good pizza tastes like — maybe this is a function of all the«just like my mama made» when their mama’s really weren’t very good cooks? Don’t waste your money — go elsewhere if you want a good pizza.

First time ordering, driver made simple mistake I called business less than 5 secs the driver got in car and they’re giving me a credit instead of having driver turn around to give me right bag. I have 15 pieces of garlic bread I didn’t order, what about the guy waiting on the GB? Oh and we’re drinking water with fried chicken lol. Food may be good but check your bags don’t let driver leave… with your tip.

Good food and pizza. Fast delivery, too. When I was pregnant, we made a lot of quick trips to DiLeo’s before and after doctor’s appointments because they’re so close to Elmhurst Hospital.

Overrated and pizza always seems to undercooked. My job stopped ordering lunch from this place, because this place sucks. Surprised there still in business.

I had my catering order last weekend. a friend of mine reccomended this restaurant to me. Let me tell you. catering is beyond words. Such big portions! When I made my catering order I was being kind of difficult and was requesting specific items that weren’t even on th menu. Plus I’d never tried their food before. so I wanted more info on everything. The girl on the phone was so nice and helpful. And im not just saying that. She was like«no problem even though it’s not on the catering menu we can do it for you!» they even came and set everything up for me which was really nice. I didn’t have too worry about anything. I’d say try it out. Everyone at my party was loving everything.

If I could give this dirty mop smelling hole in the wall sorry excuse for a restaurant I would. This was my 5th time visiting this establishment and let me tell you now… STAYAWAY I called in a pickup order as usual for a chopped salad lunch special and a water… my usual… The drink is «free» or it’s advertised that way So I ordered my lunch and the person taking my order as always told me to simply ask him for my drunk(water) when I got there So I get there pay for my food and when the man who took my order went to hand me a bottle of water and the«manager/owner» yelled«no» at him and handed me a fountain drink cup. Again I asked for water and he told me «get it out of the machine» When I questioned him about it he became irate and literally started yelling at me that I was gonna put him out of business I walked out and told him I would never be back and he yelled out the door«GETTHE **** OUTOFHERE» Real professional and customer service HAAAAA!!! I’m defiantly never going back and the way they treat those customers I would not recommend anyone go there to be yelled at by a belligerent half sober owner

Delios is a staple in Elmhurst! The catering is always good, consistent food, the owner is really nice, and the slice of pizza and soda combination is delish!

Ordered take out from here through grubhub. The woman that delivered the food had an attitude. We order food at work all the time and no delivery person has been like that. She was complaining about our address and how she didn’t know where to park and which doors to come through because I hadn’t written that down anywhere. I mean I get it that would’ve been useful, but her attitude was inappropriate. The only reason why there’s two stars is because I liked the lasagna.

We have ordered from here at least 15 times. Usually for delivery but sometimes we go pick it up, it is very quick and efficient. The delivery is always nice and quick and the food arrives hot. Delivery drivers are very friendly which is always a plus! The food is generally pretty good — I am a big fan of the tacos(soo yummy!) and we like their pizzas. Can’t forget the broasted chicken! There are other items(spiral mac & cheese, chili cheese fries) I have tried and would not order again, however you live and learn. Will keep ordering from DiLeo’s!

I can’t complain at all about the service. The owner lady was super nice. But, as my reviews go, I prefer to focus on the food. We ordered a pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple. I know, I get hassled about it, but that’s my favorite. Anyway, the pizza was a bit … I would say … soggy. I guess I’ve never heard anyone describe a pizza that way, but the middle of it just wasn’t done. Don’t say it’s the pineapple, because I order pizzas this way all the time. In addition, and I don’t know how to tactfully write this, but it had a funky aftertaste. It wasn’t that bad, but I wouldn’t order it again. On the other hand, I’ve been at friend’s parties when they’ve catered from this restaurant and I thought the food was really good. So, my advice might be to try something other than the pizza and see if you like it. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

To start I must say, after I finished eating, I bolted straight to the bathroom… To wash my hands and face, of course. I committed the unlawful sin of ordering a BBQBEEFSANDWICH at a pizzeria, «that’s not my bag, baby«- Austin Powers BBQBEEFSANDWICH which came with a side of cold, soggy fries, a side of slaw, and a cup of bbq sauce in case you get thirsty, I guess. It came drenched in bbq sauce already so the only need for it would probably be as a beverage. If you order this, ask for a side of giardiniera or peppers. Stick with pizza.

I have worked in Elmhurst for decades, and last night was the first time I have had food here. We’ve been missing out! We had take out. The food is great, the portions generous and the price is right. I enjoyed the salad very much, with a lot of interesting additions, like hearts of palm and olives. Eggplant is something I don’t make well, but they do! If you want Italian food without making it yourself, I recommend DiLeo’s.

I can’t believe this place only has 3.5 stars. The pizza here is amazing. People are rating this place based on hot dogs. Their pizza has some serious flavor. I always go easy on the cheese and have it cooked well done. I could have this awesomeness everyday. It’s a family business and they are nice and friendly. My picture is a little dark, but this pizza is the business.

My work orders from this resturant quite often. The salads are good with alot of toppings, the spinach lasgna is outstanding, and the chicken has been spot on. Trust me we order from here alot whether its italian or the pizza, it has ALWAYS been consistent. Never cheap with their toppings especially the lasgna. They pile on alot! Thank you for making our work atmosphere better with your delicious food! Had the garlic bread also-YUM! Hands down, very good food and my coworkers all think the same since nothing is left afterwards!

Just moved into the area a few months ago. Saw a local place thinking let’s give it a shot. What I received was terrible. Canned mushrooms? Really!!! The sausage was greasy and had a weird texture. The sauce was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like tomato paste straight out of the can. I like a lot of cheese on my pizza, but there was so much that it was like a huge mass of rubber on top of it. I’m so sorry to say that I will not be returning to this place. The search shall continue.

When driving down Butterfield road one Friday evening I noticed a Vienna beef sign in the window of a pizzeria. I changed lanes, doubled back and soon found myself at Di Leos Pizzeria in Elmhurst. Upon walking in I noticed a few tables set up to eat at, an order counter, and a very busy staff behind the counter that were answering phones and preparing orders. I inquired about the advertised hot dog, paid and soon was sitting waiting to give this dog a try. The hot dog I received came on a classic poppy seed bun. The bun was soft and quite mushy and fell apart very shortly after I attempted to pick this hot dog up. This hot dog had a giant pickle spear on it. Two very thick sloppy wet tomato slices, about six hot dogs worth of sliced onions, cucumber slices, sport peppers, some other unidentifiable peppers, mustard and relish. Almost everything was applied in excess, as mentioned before almost immediately after picking this hot dog up it fell apart in my hands. I’ve never seen such a messy hot dog in my entire life. I did manage to consume it leaving a salad worth of condiments behind. While I can’t comment on their pizza, the hot dog I received at Di Leos was quite frankly awful. Before biting into it I did manage to snap a picture, it’s a beast. This is easily a one star hot dog, and as a result a one star review.
