My whole family always use Mama’s for our parties. The Cesar salads and Italian beef is excellent. Pizza’s very good. I can not say enough about them. Excellent service. Great food and great prices. Oh, the Italian cookies and canoli’s are also on my list when we have our parties.

Love the thin crust pizza! Always delicious. I had an issue once when the pizza was overlooked. I called and talked to the manager. Sincere apologies a mans another pizza was sent over quickly. Try their extra thin pepperoni, fresh mushroom, spinach, and fresh garlic pizza. You will be hooked too!

I was grunted at over the phone by a teenage girl who definitely didn’t want to be there. When I arrived, there were 4 teenagers behind the counter, no one dining, 1 family ahead of me, and no acknowledgment of my presence. After a few minutes, I stepped up, my pizza was shoved in my hand. The wait and the food were fine, but there are more flavorful pizza places in town — and ones that don’t make me feel like it’s a hassle to take my money.

Ordered the pItalian beef with giardiniera peppers pizza it was ok. Reason for the low stars because I ordered the angel hair with garlic, broccoli and grilled chicken. When I arrived at home I started to mix the pasta. While the more I mix the more I didn’t find any chicken. Sad to say there was literally four slices of chicken the sizes of french fries. I was really looking forward to trying this out since my neighbor highly recommended how great their pasta was. No flavor! It’s a good thing I asked for crushed peppers. I also added garlic which was missing in the pasta. And to top it off I had clumps of pasta sticking together Well I’ve always ordered their pizza and never had any issues. I guess I’ll just stick w pizza.

Average pizza. No consistency — every order of the same item is done differently — must be due to who is cooking. Also a bit pricier than other places. You may like them… we prefer to order from different places to find what we like.

Pizza was fantastic! Yummy. If you order salad, make sure to ask for dressing on the side.

The sausage pizza I had was amazing! Perfect amount of cheese, sausage was more than just store bought pizza topping and the sauce was sweet without being overbearing. I will be back on my next business trip.

Mama Maria’s has by far the best tasting pizza available in Elmhurst. It’s the best I’ve had, hands down. We can’t help but order it FAR more than we should. I recommend trying your pizza«extra thin» at least once. We get it this way every time and it’s to die for. Final Thoughts: Eat. This. Pizza.

This pizza is outstanding. Any day of the week I will blind taste test with Armand’s in Elmhurst and Mama Maria’s would win. The sausage is a proprietary blend made just for them, which is awesome. I combined with giardiniera yesterday and it was delish. The ingredients are all fresh, pizza cooked in a true antique pizza oven. The crust is cooked on the bottom, with a slight chew in the middle. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m shocked this place doesn’t have an overall rating of 5. I live in Villa Park and have lots of pizza places around me to choose from, however I will drive to this location and pick up my pizza. I quick 10 minute drive and it’s so worth. I really think that this pizza is the best tasting for thin crust. My husband and I only really order cheese, but it’s just so good. The chicken fingers I believe are homemade. The breading is really good, and just quality food every time I order from here. We dined in one time and we had our toddler with us, the owner brought out some pizza dough, acting like«play dough» and let her play with it. Check this place out if you haven’t yet! So worth it!

Typically Mama Maria’s is great however tonight they took a step down. We ordered a pick up order after flying all day to grab on the way home. We got home and the pizza was incorrect. When we called they said they would give us a $ 5 credit to our account. They further went on to say they were training two new hires and they are the ones who made the mistake. When your business model requires accuracy of orders I would like to say your training program has room for improvements. I would love as a training exercise for the two new hires to explain to my 3.5 y/o son why he can’t eat pizza because his pepperoni pizza turned out to be all veggie. Turns out he doesn’t understand it and me consoling him by letting him know we got a $ 5 credit for some reason didn’t stop him from continue to cry and be upset for 45 minutes. Thanks for the Sunday fun day Mama Maria’s. Hopefully someday you’ll redeem yourself in a manner befitting us Elmhurst residents who support local businesses such as yourself.

Oh my gosh. Who would have thought the local pizza joint would have the best homemade tiramisu. TDF! #tiramisu

I am more a fan of their pastas than the pizzas here. They make one of the better baked mostacciolis around, i prefer it with their meat sauce. When you dine in you get bread/olive oil. The dining area is on the small side and definitely very basic, but they serve RC which gets them bonus points. The place is always pretty busy which is a good sign that they have good food.

I’ve had pizza all around the world and I don’t just hand out five star ratings. Hands down this is one of my favorite places for pizza. Mamma Maria’s, Grimaldis in Brooklyn, and gas station pizza anywhere in Italy.

i travel a lot… but the best pizza i have EVER had is Mama Marias Pizza. I frequently fly back and forth between Chicago and Los Angeles, and Mama Marias is my first stop once I get off of the plane. Dining in or taking out, the food is bomb. Order a pizza, and garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks, yum yum. friendly staff and amazing owners. don’t forget to pick up some root beer. The pizza is always hot and cooked perfectly. Fresh ingredients and the bacon is crispy on the pizza — i love that!

Rumor has it they’ve sent their food to death row inmates before Illinois stopped executions. They invented the panzerotti, calzone. whatever you call it. Deep fried goodness that no linguist could put into words and I’ve eaten everywhere. Places that everybody’s been too and places that were being raided as you tried to eat… not sure what it is they do there. Quality ingredients is a given, a lot of places use good stuff but that’s not it. It’s like they use a unicorn horn to stir their sauce or something. Whatever it is you gotta try it and then find an elite cardiologist.

I’ve lived in the area for 14 years… I don’t know how I never heard of this place. I’ve been to this other pizza place nearby on York which has a good location, but if you’re not familiar with the area, you wouldn’t know it was there. I almost missed the place because the two plaza’s are so close together and the parking lots are very small. I ended up going into the wrong parking lot. There is not much parking so I ended up parking on the street. I went in to get a slice, but turns out they don’t sell slices, but they sell a 10 inch but that is more for two people or you can have leftovers. Well on to the food… pizza was really good and reasonable! I just ordered the regular 10 inch cheese pizza, I liked how thin the crust was but they also offer a special thin crust pizza which I overheard the lady says takes a lot longer. I was really hungry so I just got the regular 10 inch which was ready in 10 minutes. I literally could have ate more it was sooo good. I shared with my boyfriend. Nothing like plain cheese pizza with some peppers and parmesan cheese on top! The lady who seated us and served us was really nice. Not the best place to sit down and eat, but I was there for lunch so the ambiance didn’t matter. I was excited to see they deliver to Hillside and Berkeley. I will definitely be trying their pizza again and other items. They have a pretty extensive menu for such a little place. Glad I stopped in!

In my opinion, Mama Maria’s has the best sauce of the Italian restaurants in Elmhurst. The lasagna, gnocchi, and ravioli are outstanding. I’m not a huge fan of the pizza, since the crust can be a bit chewy. My friend Nick said to ask for it ‘well done’ and it comes out much better. This is pretty much a take-out place, but there are a few tables. If you want to sit down, they have another location in Bensenville that’s very nice and the food is the same high quality. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal
