Fortunately for us, the nice gentleman who helped us in Macy’s found out that we had just moved to Elmhurst and suggested we try this place for pizza. We ordered carry out that night and it was excellent! Our favorite pizza here so far.

Just ok pizza! Walk by this pace all the time and it’s always crowded, so thought it must be good. So I ordered the pizza! It was the thicker doughy-ier kind of crust, so you couldn’t really«pick it up» kind of pizza(real soggy and wet). The service was good at the bar and will give it another try, but will order pasta.

Second visit was just as good as the first. Spencer took care of us and was attentive and fun. We asked for suggestions and he steered us in the right direction. We started with arugula salad, it was fresh and flavorful. I had the gnocchi feature which was fantastic. My bf had lemon chicken was yummy. The house cab was nice, not overly oakey. We finished with pistachio gelato and it was the perfect ending to a tasty meal. Previous visit included the grilled calamari and octopus. It was beautifully done.

This has become our favorite restaurant for over a year. After coming back from Florida for the winter our first stop was to drop the bags at home and onto Pazzi’s. Great atmosphere —(we usually request seating in bar area) — always good food, great martini’s($ 8.00 deal on Thursday nights). We normally order off the specials menu for any variety you want. Fair prices friendly staff.

We went there for the first time yesterday, for my wife’s birthday, with our 5 yr old. I’ve got to say, this was the BEST meal in town since we’ve moved to Elmhurst. The homemade gnocchi was phenomenal, great wine, and excellent service. Just an excellent job all around. I cannot tell you how pleased we are. I’m already thinking of when I’ll be coming back!

I like this place. I tend to shy away from ordering a pizza, although the kids seem to enjoy them. The pasta is decent enough, I always get something spicy. We stick to bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms for apps, both very good. I choose this place over Francesca’s every time.

All the dishes we passed were perfectly prepared and delicious! Love this place! Go for it… you won’t be sorry you Did!

We’ve been here many times, loved the baked clams and most other entrees we tried. This past Sunday we ordered a few appetizers and a pizza. We loved the appetizers but the pizza, we weren’t to pazzi about at all. The toppings were not cooked enough but the bottom was burnt, black burnt not the char you get from wood cooking. There was an excess amount of liquid and it tasted awful. When the waitress came to check we showed her that the bottom was totally black burnt… her reply well it’s supposed to be burnt, what really??? There were only 2 pieces missing of which we each had half those pieces in our dishes. The pizza wasn’t taken of our bill and no apologies made.

This place is a hidden gem in downtown Elmhurst! From the minute you walk in! The pizza is a must! The smell alone from the wood fired brick oven will take your breath l away! the use of ingredients straight from Italy is a plus alone. The wine is amazing and the maître d’(Nick) will help you out if you are stuck! From the home made pastas and the fresh fish daily Pazzi you are my new go to in Elmhurst! And the Massa friti(fried dough with Nutella and sugar) omg thanks again pazzi for a great stay!!!

We ended up at Pazzi for drinks to celebrate my sister’s birthday… main reason? Super convenient from her place in downtown Elmhurst and no driving required. We stopped in 100 South and a few other bars/lounges as we walked down a few streets, but Pazzi seemed to be the most appealing & ‘happening’ spot for our group that night… For a Saturday evening the vibe was energetic, the crowd — sassy. A mix of 30 – 40 something’s, if I had to guess… Seating near the bar was limited, but we were able to snatch a few seats for our party of 5 with one available high top table, some sat at the bar and a few improvised using the deep window ledge… yes, not the most comfortable seat in the house, but no less, a ‘seat’…The interior was dark and dimly lit — and I liked the ‘swanky’ feel… Since we were not greeted by a server, we decided to order our drinks at the bar. I flirted with the idea of ordering a cocktail versus my usual glass of wine, but after watching a friend struggle with her drink, my flirtation was crushed rather quickly — compliments of the bartender. She apparently didn’t seem to know how to make a proper long island iced tea… Another friend was actually trying to help, telling her what to use in the drink, yet still no dice… and finally, after three attempts and sips of pure alcohol, later… my friend decided to go with the trusty — red wine(as did everyone else), and I had a Tattinger split… I can never resist a good champagne & the ‘giggles’ that follow… After copious libations, we decided to order the baked clams and a Margherita wood fired pizza for all to share. Pazzi is known for their pizza… hence the name — Pazzi di Pizza… Sidenote: One of the Owner’s is from Café Cappucino, formerly on Harlem(Chicago), now occupied by Forno Rosso. Baked clams were enjoyed by all. Good size and meaty with light breading. The pizza? Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great. The crust was rather thick for a wood fired pizza. Had it been less dense, the texture may have been more appealing… Ratio of sauce to crust was somewhat excessive, however, the sauce was fresh pomodoro and simple. Topped with fresh mozzarella and basil… I thought this was tasty, but I’ve had better wood fired pizza. Now, I’ve eaten here quite a few times, both dine-in & carry-out. The Grigliata Mista(grilled calamari & octopus) is tender and flavorful, but the portions are never consistent. Sometimes they give you more greens and less octopus or vice-versa. I can’t tell you how often I order this at other restaurants and at $ 15 for an app, I certainly expect more calamari & octopus in my Mista. The panzerotti here is no big deal — was not impressed. The Pesto Panini lacked a proper amount of chicken — just skimpy. If you place a carry-out order and request a soda, you may want to check the expiration date on your can. Twice, my sister received a Coke that had expired upon noticing it tasted ‘funny’. I have not had the pasta’s or chicken dishes here… and I’m in no hurry to try them either… the food I have tried is pretty average for an Italian restaurant to be honest. I always appreciate good service and the night we were here for my sister’s birthday, was just mediocre at best. I understand places get busy on weekends and while it takes a lot for me to complain, I will just say service could have been friendlier and attentive. The menu is basic Italian fare w/pizza & just doesn’t *excite* me at all… Nice ambiance & crowd if you want to hang out with friends for a glass of wine or champagne, and maybe a decent cocktail, if you happen to get a bartender who KNOWS how to make a proper one… The location is great and may be a better option for lunch. Other than that, Io non sono pazzo per«Pazzi di Pizza»… (translation: I am not crazy for«Crazy for Pizza»).

One of our favorite places to eat. I go to pazzi at least once a week. Usually with my friends and our kids, but sometimes just with friends or my husband. We absolutely love it! The food is consistently delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of the salads, pastas or pizza. They have great apps as well and delicious desserts… try the tiramisu! I also suggest going with one of the specials. They are always super fresh and tasty. The braciola is our favorites! The staff is the best! Always happy to be there and make sure you are satisfied. My kids love it as much as I do. Can’t say enough great things.

This place makes my mouth water! They have some of the most amazing baked clams I’ve ever had. and I’ve had a LOT of baked clams in my life. You’ll wish you can lick the plate clean(or just use bread like me if you dgaf) Staff has always been super friendly. I’ve sat at the bar and outside. Great drink specials during the week. Definitely my favorite place in Elmhurst.

To start I did not have to pay the bill I had no idea how much our food was so I can’t factor price into this review. This it will be based off of the environment, service, food, and location. Overall impress for the entire meal I will rate as average. Location is awesome for downtown Elmhurst. It is right across the street from my work place. We get in an out in our lunch hour down to the perfect minute. We ate outdoors the chairs are okay. My hips were stiff when I stood up. Maybe some cushions??? The umbrella vet the table did shade most of us. My boss preferred to be the sun flower of the group … no thanks! The food was good. I did find it a bit bland and I am Italian. The vodka sauce was good but I prefer a bit more flavored heat to my sauce. The best thing was the baked clams, awesome with a touch of lemon and the flavor is completely perfect. I had the caprese salad and I liked it. I did not love it. I did love how the water is bottle and placed in each table. Endless bread kept coming out entire meal. Service was to me a typical experience, nothing outstanding. Overall it is an average Italian restaurant. I will visit again.

I’ve been here on three busy Friday nights and have enjoyed a great experience each time. Last time in, I was a big fan of the arancini and, especially, the eggplant rolls with ricotta and goat cheese. Some of the best appetizers I’ve had in a long time. I’d rate their wood oven pizzas solidly. I ordered a prosciutto and spinach pizza, and enjoyed it with the meal and also for lunch the next day. They offer a build your own pizza option which is a nice touch. About the only critiques I can give are that just once, we received a pasta dish that was just lukewarm along the edges and slightly dry, but the center of the dish was hot and full of delicious vodka sauce. Also, good luck getting up to go to the bathroom. One has to walk through incredibly narrow spaces, and through a service area to get there. I realize this is more on the building itself than the restaurant, but it can be a bit of an inconvenience. These points are heavily outnumbered by the positive ones. I’ve had great, personable service and each of the last two times, a manager/owner has checked in with our table to see how we are enjoying the night. They make you feel glad you walked in their doors. Rare and refreshing. TL;DR: Order some appetizers, create your own pizza, have a few drinks and enjoy the night.

The food was phenomenal everything is fresh you can just taste it. I had the rack of lamb and the Brajole. The service was incredible they were very knowledgeable about the menu it was a Wednesday night at the dinner rush place was crowded everyone was taken care of. This is a great place for a romantic getaway friends meeting for dinner even in groups up to 10 to 12. Bring appetizer I had grilled calamari which was incredible like I said the rack of lamb was very tasty and tender was not overdone the brajole was wrapped with filet mignon so that made it even more incredible and they bake the bread there everyday so the bread is always fresh. The chocolate cake I had for dessert was also fresh and very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be eating there again.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and I finally figured it out. Don’t get the pizza. I know, that’s part of the name, but it’s misleading. The pizza isn’t very good, but the pasta and sandwiches are great. This is a super place to get lunch. The lunch menu has a bunch of options for $ 9.99. It comes with either a sandwich or pasta and soup or a salad. I was feeling like I should eat some vegetables, since it had been several days, so I ordered the grilled vegetable sandwich with a salad. My wife ordered the pasta and a bowl of chicken rice soup. Everything was delicious. Great job Pazzi! As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

Great food! This place definitely needs front of the house training! Great looking atmosphere and smiles… There were about 5 tables sat, hosted sat us near a window and I requested after if we can move to the table near the fire oven for more warmth. She replied, «I think it’s for a party» vs «let me check with our seating chart» We were moved to another table. Thank you. That table I requested was never sat. Server was nice but lacked customer service. She didn’t pour out water in the glass, didn’t go over the specials and when asked what she would suggest, her reply was everything. Server was nice and did cater to our needs. food was amazing! Bring your appetite because portions are huge! Their calamari was great! Get it grilled. Their eggplant Parmesan was great! Great food, a little server and host training and you’ll get 5 stars! 3.5 stars total experience.

I met 2 friends here on a Sunday night. One of them was from out of town, so I knew it would be a long, lazy dinner. One friend suggested we make reservations, and she did. I didn’t think we would need them, but it turns out, she was right. Our reservations were for 6pm and when we arrived, our table wasn’t ready. Annoying, but we didn’t wait long. I wish we’d had an appetizer, especially the tavolata, which was a delicious looking meat and cheese plate, but we went straight to the main course. We ordered pizzas all around. They all looked really good. I had the quatro stagioni which had proscuitto, olives, mozzarella, and mushrooms. It was good, but I don’t know that it was $ 16 good. Plus, as it’s a woodfire pizza, you have to be careful not to burn it. Part of the top of mine was burned. It wasn’t a big deal, but I was surprised our waiter didn’t say anything about it when he put it on the table. There was a ton of proscuitto, so no complaints there, but hardly any olives. One last thing that bothered me a bit was that we weren’t checked on very much. Granted, our waiter could have had the vibe that we were planning to be there for a bit to chat, but we were never even offered a water refill. When I did ask for one, as water was my only beverage and I was out, he never came back with any. All in all, I had a pizza and with tax and tip, it was about $ 25. I was surprised the total was so much without even drink on the tab. I would be back to give this place another try, but if I wasn’t impressed the second time around, I don’t think I’d go back for time #3.

I came here recently with my aunt who lives in the area. Pazzi di Pizza is adorable inside and they have a wonderful patio on the side of the building. Unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside on the day we went but they have a great ambiance inside the restaurant and bar area. The menu is a nice variety of Italian fare with salads, panini, pasta, pizza, etc. I ordered the Tuna Panini which was bland and aside from the olive oil and tuna flavor, not much taste. The side salad it came with was excellent though. My aunt had the grilled veggie panini and it looked fabulous — that is the one I would try next time we come here. Our server was friendly and prompt — overall we enjoyed our lunch and even though I’m not in this area too often, I would return and try their pizza. I’d also recommend it to others.
