Why did this place have to close? :(this was one of my favorite pizza places. My girlfriend and I would always get a veggie pizza & it was cooked to perfection everytime. Fresh ingredients & amazing taste. I hope I can find another Mimmos pizza place somewhere.

Came here after nu crepes for something savory and filling. Which is exactly what I got! Tried the buffalo panini. Chicken, buffalo sauce, tomato wheels… Added spinach cuz I felt like it lacked a leaf. Anyway, my meal came with kettle chips(no extra charge) — so it was complete sandwhich with chip. Thought that was a little surprise! Sandwhich had a lot of sauce, dripping… But it was very delicious. So no complaints there. Excellent customer service from the woman at the front. Price could be lowered. Got charged extra for the red pepper spreAd. Wish I would have known cuz I’m not sure how much it affected the taste on my sandwhich. Would come again if I was in the neighbor hood.

We have ordered take out twice. Once we ordered pizza, the second time was paninis and chicken fingers for the kids. Both were good, the only reason I was willing to go back and get the paninis was because the pizza was decent. Hopefully this place sticks around, though I know competition is fierce for this type of establishment in Elmhurst. Definitely one of the better thin crust pizzas we have had.

Went here yesterday with a friend and all of our kids. My salad was soooo good– the cilantro chicken salad. I tasted the kids’ pizza and, although a little doughy, the sauce was delicious. The people were very kind to us as well, even though my daughter spilled her water on the floor. We look forward to going back. I want that salad again!

Started going here about a month ago because it’s close to Elmhurst College, their staff is extremely nice, and best of all, their food is simply outstanding! I am someone who values the taste and quality of my pizza very much. Having said that, Mimmo’s thin crust pizza and calzone’s absolutely blew me away when I first tried them! Their red sauce is a perfect amount of sweet, the crust is light and flaky, the cheese perfectly melted everytime; and best of all, it is all prepared fresh by hand. I definitely recommend Mimmo’s if you’re looking for a place to sit down and dine in downtown Elmhurst, or pop in for a slice of pizza and a drink!

Loved Mimmos from years ago when they were located on north York road and was sad when they closed. Now that they have reopened on south York road we ordered the pizza several times now and are happy to say it’s still the great pizza I remember. Disappointed that they don’t offer an antipasta salad that they used to make at the other location. I have not had any of the other food items yet so I cannot review them. If you like pizza, you will not be disappointed in theirs.

Two stars for the very friendly lady that answered the phone, and the delivery man(Doug?). Unfortunately our dinner left me disappointed. Mimmos let me down, just when I was going to switch from pizza palace to Mimmos as my go to. We ordered the 14 in cheese pizza and the Gorgonzola pear salad with chicken. Pizza didn’t impress me like it normally does, it was ok don’t get me wrong it just tastes extra salty today. Perhaps it was the cheese or maybe that batch of sauce, or maybe it was my tears of dismay when I realized my salad was incorrect. I was so looking forward to this salad, the combo of Gorgonzola, shaved pear and chicken had my mouth watering. Unfortunately I did NOT get the chicken($ 3 up charge) OR the cheese and I found about two pieces of pear in my salad. I did however get a plastic clamshell full of greens with little life left in them, a handful of almond chips and dried cranberries that were more like pebbles. I did get the dressing on the side, which was asked for so that’s a plus. Overall order taker was nice, foodcame 20 minutes quicker than expected(but incorrect) driver was nice. Pizza was hot. Salad was a waste of money. Might be back for pizza. Would not recommend.

I’m glad to see Mimmo’s back in action, but sadly I don’t think it has the magic the original location had. They seem to have made it a more trendy version of its previous self. Newer sandwiches and pizza slices(which in my opinion do not do their normal pizza any justice) replace the order a whole pizza mentality. This may be good for the Downtown Elmhurst, on foot crowd, but disappoints my order a pizza at home side. Not a big fan of there sausage pizza and end up having to get pepperoni here. Maybe my dreams will be realized and a reopening of another location that was more like the original and not as trendy is in the future. One can only hope…

I am the mother in law of Mimmos. My office ordered from Mimmo’s. We had 10 pizzas, 2 large salads with the best salad dressing on earth and a few orders of the bruschetta. We wanted it there by noon. The pizza was on time, hot and I have never had so many compliments given to me about how good everything was. It is hard to be impartial when you are family, but these people didn’t have to say anything to me and they went out of their way to do so. I have always thought Mimmos was the best and I still do. Give it a try. You won’t regret it

We decided to try the new place. I dropped my daughters off while I parked the car. They were at first ignored, then laughed at. By the time I walked they had left and didn’t want to eat there . Never tried the food, might be good? Might not? But the service … Wasn’t.

If you’re looking for a gut busting piece of pizza for lunch you’ll find it here. Personally, I prefer either thin crispy crust or deep dish. The quarter inch thick crust is too much dough. However, this is probably your best bet on the menu. The toppings were really good. The sauce, cheese and pepperoni were tasty. I can’t remember how much it was, but I think the pizza with a drink was under $ 7. I consider that a lunch bargain! My friend ordered the Italian Panini, with chips and a drink and paid $ 11. That’s a bit expensive considering you could drive either three blocks north and get a great spicy Italian sub at Rosalia’s Deli, or three blocks south and get a great sub at Fulla Bologna for a little over $ 7 — including the chips and the drink. If you go to Mimmo’s, get the pizza. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

Very Happy Mimmo’s is back in the Elmhurst loop. The food(both sandwiches and pizza) our outstanding and the service even better. Pretty sure it was the owner or son, but the superstar sandwich and pizza maker in back has an awesome grip on guest service. He was pleasant with great conversation and what I would call community based personality that would make you want to stop in for a slice just to catch up on bitching about the bears(or my case, praising the Lions) or what weather front is coming in. It has a modern look but old school feel with a welcome feeling. Almost to the point I think I may pull out the classic Peter Griffin in a mustache quote to the chef extraordinaire«Scuzie? Babadabupi ?!», Well worth your dining dollar to put this place in the rotation!

I love this place. In an area replete with great pizza, this place stands out. Awesome sausage & pepperoni. When they shut down their original location I was really bummed out. Glad you’re back Mimmos! :D

We carried-out a mushroom pizza, and it was quite disappointing. Too much sauce, cheese piled high in some areas and totally absent in others– at least the mushrooms tasted good. The crust was too thick and seemed undercooked towards the center. I’m hoping this is due to the fact that they had just reopened the week we ate there. Will have to try again once they get the place in order. Probably should try one of the paninis or appetizers that everyone else is recommending. I’m not ready to give up on Mimmo’s 2.0 just yet!

I am obsessed with this place. I literally have to come here like once every 2 weeks at least. The Artichoke Bruschetta is addictive. And so is the Cheesecake Fiji Apple Batter dessert. The Panini’s r delish & huge. Totally shareable. Come and your mouth will thank you. And then you will thank me. You are welcome. Lol

Was happy to see them relocate in downtown Elmhurst. But after paying $ 8.50 for the cilantro chicken entrée salad I had to search for the few thin slices of deli chicken meat. Mostly a container of romaine with a few tiny cubes of provolone, a dozen sun flower seeds and a few tiny pieces of roasted red peppers. Big disappointment. Not doing that again. Now wondering if I should even bother trying the pizza.
