liked their tea until i found that they had artificial flavors in the tea wild orange blossoms and white chocolate peppermint tea. i stopped drinking flavored coffee because of its artificial flavoring which is made by using petroleum which is like so bad for your health! the customer service here is great. but everything here is expensive. I bought a mug with tea infuser it equated to $ 21 or more i think. couldve been cheaper if i bought the red or purple colored mugs. but i got the white or off white one with the gold polka dots. its helpful because theres a tea infuser but i couldve saved $ 18 if i just bought a mug from marshalls.

Love this place. Large selection of different herbal and other teas. Free trial station. Excellent service too. Good staff

A few of the teas are pretty good but when the staff are inconsistent with the sugar amounts, it makes every visit a hit or miss. Some of the teas need more or less sugar to be enjoyable. This particular location of Teavana has some juvenile staff members. I won’t be coming to this location again. They made a mistake with our order and I called them out on it. They then proceeded to make me seem like I am the crazy one when I watched them make the mistake and corrected them! This went on for 10 minutes. Needless to say, I got my money back and walked out. Tip to staff: if you make a mistake, just admit it and do better next time.

I get free tea when I go here. They have some crazy flavors but I prefer the chai and fruity teas. Especially the peach tea. I burnt my tongue on the chai tea once so i didn’t give a full 5 stars. Other than that, nice place to get tea.

Their sells team is great because I fell for their traps. I purchase two set of tea leafs after trying some of their samples. I also purchased their tin can but I realized I got plenty at home. I got home to brew the leafs and it wasn’t the same taste as the one at store. I went online and figured out they also add other things like sugar. Urg… well I agree the leafs smells nice. But oh man $ 40 for half a tin of leafs plus a tin can in which I didn’t actually need. Great job sells team. Too costly for me to be a regular, but I agree their teas does smell nice.

Staff seems like they could be less interested most of the time. Today i had a great experience in the area of customer service, but normally no one even approaches you. Tea here is definitely very expensive, but worth the price, if you are that into tea. Wide variety of flavors to keep things interesting.

A friend of mine brought me here and I haven’t left. Not literally, but I keep coming back. I love the free samples and the aroma calms me immediately. The workers are fabulous and enthusiastic about tea. A cup of iced tea to go is about $ 3 and it’s the real deal. This is my heaven when I’m sad or feeling down after class. I only wish they had a larger location because it’s a bit tight in there.

Update: a few months ago while walking by I fell for one of their samples. I believe it was the youth berry. I purchased 20 bucks worth. The fellow behind the counter kept insisting I purchase their tin. I actually had a tea tin at home it wasn’t a teavana brand however it was a tea tin. Aside from being pushy and apparently aggravated by not being able to up sell me I figured the transaction was over with. We get home and I get ready to make some of my new tea and what do I find? A bird feather. So we call up and tell them what happened they say to return it. We go back a few days later after work. I show the guy what we found. He says how that really doesn’t happen and all this. I ask him if he’s going to exchange it could he give me some from a different tea canister? No… he says they’re all the same. My gf mentions how much of an inconvenience it was to have to come back and pay 5 bucks for parking just to return this. He asks where we live and then proceeds to tell us we shouldn’t have shopped there in the first place we should’ve gone to some location by great neck! So now not only do I feel gross about finding a bird feather but I also feel unwelcome at this establishment.

Need a wedding gift? This is the place to go. Fancy, quality teapots you can give as decoration(and to use). Ask for Donald or Jesse, they hooked me up!

Victoria was incredibly helpful. I am not a tea drinker, but stopped in to buy a gift for a friend who is. I just gave her a price range and told her my friend generally likes Jasmine tea, and she came back with a number of recommendations. When I decided on one, she even through tissue paper and a gift bag in with my order. Very friendly staff!

PROS: –Free Samples: who doesn’t love a good freebie. Hey; no judgments, we’re in a tough economic recession here. We have to get our enjoyments however we can! –Great customer service. Not only are there a ton of samples to try, but there are plentiful employees to give a more detailed explanation of the teas, their origins, even just to have a chat, or to get you tea/ring you up. –A lot of exotic variety. I can’t even name all of the flavors that I’ve tried and liked, because there are so many. If I remember correctly, there tea is loose, and it’s not prepackaged, where you can dump it in water and call it a day. CONS: –Crowded space. On a random mall day it’s bad, but on a holiday time, it’s brutal. Not only are there MORE workers than usual in the tiny space, but there are a ton more customers, frantic to get in their gifts or whatnot, and it’s hectic and uncomfortable and annoying. Be prepared, and maybe shop early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid this. –Expensive as hell; $ 10 isn’t going to get you very far here; maybe a few cups if that. So be prepared to enjoy those free samples, and an occasional spurge a few times a year, unless you’re moneybags or something.

Ohh, Teavana if any store could make me more of a Teaholic, it would be you! First stumbled upon you when I was in college at the Christiana Mall in DE, and my love of tea has not been the same since! I could easily waste a way a good chunk of my paycheck here, so am glad there is not one that close to where I live.(A girl can only have so much self-control) Simply walking in this store make me happy! The scents of their tea are divine, and they always have a couple of free samples to try. In my experience their staff is knowledgeable about their product, and are helpful with recommendations. I have not had experienced the pushiness that others have expressed, but have gotten a not so positive vibe from their staff depending on the day. If you’re not a tea lover, this place will probably seem way too expensive for what it is, but their quality of tea is certainly worth it to me!

This was the first time I’ve ever actually shopped there. I try the free samples often, cuz hey: FREE! The clerk who helped me was a tad pushy for my tastes, but otherwise polite and smiled a lot. The selections are all loose leaf teas and all smell FANTASTIC! BEAWARETHO: the price is by the OUNCE. A relatively small amount of tea can easily cost $ 10 or more. I’m only going to shop here once every 3 – 4 months because of the prices, but when I do, it’s worth it for me.

The one star is for the Maharaja Oolong chai which is very good. But when your business is highly dependent on customer service, it makes sense to train the salespeople to be less pushy and much less greedy. I have been there twice and it has been the same story both times. The salespeople work on either commission or have a daily sales goal because the only other time I have felt that acute sense of claustrophobia is at the local Bath & Body works. The salespeople here will do anything to make you spend more money including lying. When I asked for 2 ounces of tea I was told the minimum they sell is half a pound which cost me $ 50($ 4.7 an ounce) and which I later verified to be a lie. The glasses wearing short sales girl who lied to me will never have my business again. I was, am and will remain a fan of David’s Tea just because of Teavana’s poor customer service.

Excellent tea, beautiful teaware Customer service not so good, I purchased tea and filter bags, the rep took it upon himself to put my tea in a tin and charge me 6 $ for the tin, without informing me. Granted we need to store the tea, at least confirm w the customer that they will be charged for something they did not ask for… I would’ve kept the tin, but bc he did not bother to explain my charges I told him to take that off of my bill… I would like to sample some more TEAVANA products, however I wil not be visiting the Queens Center Mall location anymore. Staff is too shady for me…

I actually came here on Black Friday afternoon, and they had about 8 different samples in various tea pots to try. A worker there passed me a small cup of their blended Maharaja Chai Oolong & Samurai Chai Mate and… HOLYCRAP. I closed my eyes and sighed. It was the best tea I’d ever had. It warmed my soul. Then I proceeded to try and find out how much the damn thing cost. It was a complicated and hugely disappointing process: this is the most expensive tea I’ve ever come across. I thought my organic tea that was $ 40 for 50 bags was an extreme indulgence, but this is beyond that. I ended up walking out with nothing but an obsession. Then about a week later my friend surprises me with a freakin airtight canister of the stuff! But she spent a pretty penny. The canister itself cost extra(she bought it because if you bring it back to get it refilled they’ll take 10% off your total) and it cost her $ 40 to fill it up ALMOST halfway. I was shocked. So now it’s my super extra special tea that I only have as a treat, and yes, I will probably go back and spend an obscene amount of money every now and then because I do love it that much. However, I’m officially on the lookout for something just as good and cheaper. The moment that happens I’m dropping Teavana like a bad habit(which it really is anyway).
