Why the hell would panda take an order at 950p, and then call us at 1030, to say they can’t bring it??? DONT TAKE THE ORDER IF YOU CANT DELIVER. It’s upsetting… We could have went and picked it up if they would have just said something. An annoying experience, now we can’t order from anywhere else because Oakland closes so damn early. Just damn ridiculous.

This restaurant’s staff looked like the United Nations when they first opened on the Oakland/​Emeryville border; now there are no black or white people working in it! It cannot be an accident and it cannot be that there are no qualified black or white people who want to work there. There is a creepy cloud of racism over this restaurant ever since the current manager arrived a couple of months ago. It is suspicious that all the employees speak English as a second language and are reluctant to look me in the eyes when taking my order or accepting payment from me. This company and manager would not be above hiring immigrants exclusively to exploit people for profit.

I’m just glad that I don’t have to drive 30 min anymore. This location is new as well as the employees. So they are littly sloppy but they are friendly and foods taste like panda express. That’s all matters to me.

Don’t come here! They are very stingy in the food quantity they give. I wanted to order the family meal and they told me to wait and they helped other customers instead so it was confusing, I then went back to line. Fresh food takes long time to come and the cashier made my order more complicated to order.

This is a new location they just built recently in the plaza in Emeryville where Pak N Save grocery store is. Food was good, customer service was attentive, and parking was easy. Will be back to visit again … Glad they added this location here …

Food is okay, but I found it weird that they don’t ask you are eating in or to go. they just assume you are taking it to go and waste to go cartons and bags. they automatically give soy sauce and hot sauce. I think it’s also wasteful.

I wish i didnt have to give a star. This place still has horrible customer service. Melissa took my food to the register without asking me was that it or did i want anything else. Melissa then proceeded to dump my food back into the serving pants when i said i didnt want my food. On top of all that i had to wait hella long for some damn orange chicken. Panda Express in Emeryville sucks.

Usually this place is pretty good for a Panda Express, but today was awful… The food was dry today !!! My wife seen that one of the items she ordered was dry so before they plated it she wanted to change it to something else. and this girl named Showna had a total attitude about it and then when helping me she made the remark «You want the Beijing Beef? Or do you want to change your mind too?» Very rude and sarcastically with a smirk on her face!!! I then watched her make rude and sarcastic remarks to every customer!! I mean she had something to say to everyone ! It made me sick to my stomach and I couldn’t even eat hardly… You know how one person can change your whole mood for the day? Showna was that person !!! She needs to be put in the back doing dishes if she cannot be professional and customer savy. Not sure we will return because of her !!! BEWARE OF SHOWNA !!!

Went here for lunch early in the afternoon of 5⁄13. Based on the reviews here, I expected totally bad service and a filthy restaurant replete with street people.
I was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant was clean, no bums, and staff were attentive. Portions were ample.
I had the Chinese spareribs and green bean chicken. Both were good; ribs had slightly spicy Hoisin sauce. Chicken was tender and green beans were cooked properly. Chow mein was usual Panda — it would benefit with Chinese vegetables and not celery.
This is not cooked to order Chinese, but it was very passable Chinese and was consistent with other Pandas.
If you get freshly cooked food, it is generally good; if it has sat on the steam table, it won’t be. I have had the Panda steak (not at this one, but the El Cerrito Panda) that tasted bland and had the consistency of shoe leather. It had sat.

This place is always disgusting. The floor is always covered in food, and I have to wipe down the table I sit at every time. It is disgusting. I even have pictures to show proof! I don’t think I will go back again! Plus the employees need to be reminded to wash their hands. The pictures don’t really show that well as Unilocal resizes them. But this is just a portion of what the entire restaurant looks like. They should be embarrassed.

This location isn’t bad at all. In my opinion it’s all about who helped you. Steven was Extremely Helpful and Had Great Customer Service. I was honestly nervous about ordering from this location. Steven is a good example of how one person can make or break a business. Please Panda Hire more Like steven. My order was placed on 4/​16/​15 around 8:20pm. Thank you steven

Good they opened a Panda Express close to work. The restaurant is clean, orderly, friendly staff and great service. Most of all the food was delicious.
Definitely a great place to visit since Crispy Fry at the Public Market closed.

Understandably, this location is new, the staff new and you have to give it a chance but this will be the last time I go here. Every time I go in, its always a struggle to get the right portions replenished, getting a bag for my orders or even a fortune cookie.
The staff has no problem pointing out which items cost you an extra $ 1.25 however. Oh, and taking your card to pay is no issue either.
In the future, I will stick to the location by the Airport. Better service. Better food. Better PERIOD!

Although I love Panda express and I’m happy there so close to my school, I’m highly disgusted at this location. It’s sad… I rather keep driving to east oakland, have the risk of getting car jacked in the drive thru before I even consider becoming a regular customer here. Ummm weird how the air comes blowing on your head whenever u open the door. That’s a huge waste of money yet there’s not a single modification for persons with disabilities (wheelchairs)
Oh sure I don’t mind the clipboard sitting on the hot table while u check temperature of old food that’s been sitting for who knows how long. That’s just gross. Gonna cook at home more often

Brand new Panda in the 40th street big box mall in Emeryville, between Lil Caesar, Smash Burger, and Subway.
It is clean with more modern furniture with padded seating and a more elegant modern feel with chrome light fixtures and stainless steel encased entrée selections.
And unlike nearly all Pandas, this one has 2 large screen TVs.
No patio seating, unless you count the stone seating out front that attract local riff raff remnants from Black and White liquor store across the street.

Newly open and I so happy we have something different to eat in Emeryville. The service is great and the people are friendly. I had the two item special with Beijing beef, Kung Pao Chicken with half rice and half noodles. The food was yummy and delicious. We will return.
