The Artist colony has been the hub of 100’s & 100’s of artists for well over a decade!
Young, old, professional and the talented budding artists support each other and the community with their individual styles and techniques. There is nothing like this group. At this time they are looking for a new property to call home. Until then, it is business as usual with the 2014 banner unveiling set for Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the old Cabo Grill.
All the efforts of the colony are volunteer and from the heart.

The artists colony in Encinitas has had many homes, however it appears that this location will probably stick. It’s as its name says, an artist-​run collective where locals artists in all genres including poets, and performers can create, perform and showcase their works.
There are exhibits every three weeks that feature one of their members, an interactive ‘Journey of the Arts’ every Friday night, and a ‘Meet the Artist’ Open House on Sunday afternoons. If you enjoy art and seeing what the locals create then this is the place to visit when cruising through Encinitas.
