Almond croissant is amazing, it was warm, flaky and you can taste the quality of ingredients used to make it. I also had the Croque Monsieur a ham and cheese open faced sandwich is on the most perfect crusty bread, flavorful cheeses and it has a nice little side of lettuce with a perfect amount of vinaigrette dressing. Best expresso drinks I have ever had! Love how little and cozy it is inside, outdoor seating with relaxing music and nice dog to meet you at the door. Parking isn’t the best unfortunately and a little on the expensive side but totally worth it!

I had Le Jambon-Beurre sandwich(French ham, Gruyère cheese, and European butter) on French baguette. Simple and tasty. It came with a side of chips on the plate. What better place to read a novel about courtesans than a French café? I spent a nice afternoon here, reading and eating, and dreaming about the grand lives of French courtesans… What I adore about French Corner: — Lovely French music floating through the air — Outdoor seating for enjoying the pleasant Encinitas climate — Sweet and savory treats Why three stars? Many other reviewers have gushed about the wonderful service, but I didn’t experience that. The young woman who helped me at the register was not particularly friendly or smiling. I would love to return, and I hope that on future visits, I enjoy the warm and welcoming interactions that others have had.

With all of the glowing Unilocal reviews, my fiancé and I had high hopes for the French Corner. Maybe it was an off day, but the wait was long, the prices were high, the portions were meager, and the food was mediocre at best — definitely lacking the French passion described by other reviewers. I don’t mind paying high prices when the food is good, but both the Croque Monsieur and the vegetarian crêpe we ordered were bland. We also bought a tiny crumpet that was displayed next to the register and seemed a bit stale. We were also surprised that it cost $ 1.50 for a 1 inch diameter(maybe half a bite) treat that was not baked that day?! +1 Conveniently located in Leucadia off the 101 +1 Has potential as one of the only French cafes in town –1 Bland cooked food — maybe the pastries are better?! –1 Stale, overpriced crumpet –1 Expensive

This place is always busy and for good reasons! Everything is fresh and the coffee as well as lattes are amazing! It’s a small business and the owner is always working! You can tell she prides herself on the freshness and quality of the French Corner. Perfect spot to keep Leucadia funky!

I love a good baker, but I love a great French Bakery even better! I am a huge fan of almond croissants, so when I saw a pile of huge ones inside the glass display, there was no turning back. I asked for one, at room temperature and a cup of their house drip French coffee. The croissant was one of those croissant, that who every made it, knew what they were doing. The croissant was flaky and had a great butter texture and flavor. It came loaded, I say loaded with crunchy slivered almonds and was stuffed with the most delicious mouthwatering almond paste one can make. The almond paste was more than just a paste, because it was loaded too with bits of chopped almonds and provided a great butter rich flavor as well. I’ve had many of almond croissants, but this one tops the list with it great texture, flavor, and plethora of almonds. It does not get any better then this one. The French drip was rich and smooth, and no doubt went very well with the mouthwatering almond croissant. The owners appears to be very nice. I wanted to chat with her, but she was very busy, so I just relaxed and enjoyed myself. The place is small, and does not provide inside seating, but it does have plenty of outside seating available; including a small back patio. A great French Bakery that makes more than just naked goods!

Where are you, my little object of art? I am here to collect you. We found this sweet little french bakery and shop, the French Corner tucked along the Coast Highway 101 in Leucadia. From the moment you walk up to the door you have the aroma of baked goods in the air! You will fall in love at this moment… much like Pepe Le Pew. There is a broad selection of pastries, breads, crepes and sandwiches to satisfy and delight almost anyone. My husband and I chose one sweet and one savory. My favorite was the L’Orange crêpe. There is no seating inside due to its size, but the patio may be one of the quaintest I have experienced in North San Diego. I am attracted to humorous romance after all…

The food here gets 5 stars hands down! It’s legitimate french cooking and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. The quiche and crepes are great, definitely try one of those when you come. The reason for 3 stars in the price and amount of food given for it. It’s pretty darn expensive, which is fine because is delicious BUT you only get what’s on the menu. The crepes come with about two grapes on the side, and the quiche comes with 4 pieces of lettuce(aka a salad). I just wish you got a little more bang for your buck. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Just come knowing it’s not going to be cheap and you might leave hungry.

merci pour votre manquez générosité envers mes quatre garçons et moi-même. votre café était magnifique! A little expensive, but you get what you pay for! I highly recommend this delightful French café not only for the delicious pastries, but also for the quality expresso, atmosphere, and excellent customer service!

The place is cute and has a nice patio to enjoy breakfast. Regarding the food, we tried the«chocolate croissant»(«pain au chocolat» for French) and a «Jambon fromage» crêpe(ham & cheese). The chocolate croissant was decent for a French bakery, and the price was not too exaggerated($ 3.5). The crêpe however was a bit overpriced($ 8) for what it was.(Also considering that they use the same type of crêpe as the sweet one to make the savory one, whereas in France we usually use 2 different crêpe batters for sweet and savory). Overall we would recommend this place as there are a lot of choices and everything looks good.
