In-N-Out Burger

I’m not huge on fast food, but In-​N-​Out is an exception. On a recent road trip, we had to stay near the highway for the sake of time and we were never let down by the food here.
This location had what you expect — motivated and friendly staff serving up delicious eats with perfect order fulfillment. Not sure what I can add if you know these places they are nearly identical, the only thing that changes are the names and faces of the employees… highly recommended.

I dream about the burger and fries. I ache with envy every time someone I know travels to a state with an In-​and-​Out location while I’m stuck here in Georgia. Poor me.

Food was good, but workers were clearly not following sanitation rules. All workers cooking, preparing, and serving up food repeatedly wiped their hands on their aprons over and over to the point where they all had visibly soiled aprons. They never changed gloves between the 10 – 15 min wait for my food, although they touched multiple surfaces to include cleaning towels and food. This is a great place for a quick and affordable burger. A double double, animal fries, and a Neapolitan shake is the way to go. It gets a bit crowded, but they lines and orders move quickly. The drive thru lines can be daunting at times, but they too move quickly to get your orders done. Sometimes it is just better to go through the drive thru than waiting inside.

I love this location. It’s a nice get away and it’s in Encinitas. Nice to grab dinner and head to the beach. It’s very spacious.

Tyler was the best! We gave them a very complicated order due to our specific diets and he nailed it!!!

Clean, employees are clean cut and friendly, burgers always fresh and delicious. In N Out is always consistent to me, and this location didn’t disappoint. This is how every fast food place should operate!

This Location is hands down the best. I had to go to Mira Mesa, which isn’t that great or Carmel Mountain. This one is closer to Carmel Valley and super fast friendly service always. Don’t let the long drive thru line scare you, it does go fast for this location unlike others.

They have 3 things on the menu: drinks, hamburgers and fries. Perfectly crafted burger everytime. Can get loud inside during lunch, but I don’t mind. Definitely swing by.

Love In-​N-​Out burgers!
This location is one of the better ones in San Diego. It’s larger, more parking spots, clean and the drive through line moves quickly.
Despite growing up eating In-​N-​Out on a weekly basis, I can’t get enough! First of all, the prices are super reasonable (but it is steadily going up). Second, the food is always fresh and tasty. Clearly nothing is frozen or processed– just good simple ingredients.
Some off the menu tips to keep your options interesting:
— animals style fries: adding grilled onions, their famous sauce and cheese piled on top of fresh fries
— protein style: a burger without buns, instead wrapped with lettuce
— ketchup and mustard instead of their famous sauce
— neapolitan shake (mix strawberry, vanilla and chocolate shake)
— add grilled hot peppers to your burger or fries for the added kick of spice
— you can mix and match as many beef patties and cheese slices as you like (for example a 4×4 means you get 4 patties and 4 cheese slices)
— you can ask for well done fries (crispier than their normal batch of fries)
Only downfall is that they are always busy! So be prepared to wait in line.

Still the best fast food around. This is the perfect location for In-​N-​Out Burger. The drive always seems to have a line, but they do a great job of keeping it moving. Love ordering protein-​style (lettuce instead of the bun). Not only is the menu simple and classic, but if you know what you’re talking about you can order items off their «secret menu» like animal style, flying dutchman, Neapolitan shake, cheese fries, grilled cheese etc.
Tastes fresh, service is friendly and drive thru is fast. Only complaint is that I don’t eat it as much as I’d like to :)

Well, what can I say. They are so consistant, you can’t go wrong. I confess I had not been to an In N Out for a very long time. Back in the day when my girlfriends and I made our LA nightclub trips monthly, we would always stop at the Orange County one. My son was in an accident recently and couldn’t eat solids for days so once he was able to open his mouth wide enough, I drove up to Encinitas and picked up a few burgers. I love that there were so many options especially after reading my brother’s post divulging all of the secret options. My son went plain, I went raw onion and no cheese. I hate to say this, but they are smaller than I remember. After driving all that way, I should have picked up two burgers or a double! He loves their shakes. So thick and flavorful, not watered down at all. A fan forever if feeling like a burger.

IN-​N-​OUT is on par with the most expensive yuppy burgers in SoCal. I think what does it for me is the grilled flavor of the always fresh, never frozen, burgers and the unbelievably ripe and perfect veggies.

Ever have a burger save your life? Happens to me all the time.
See… I plan events. And many members of my lovely community always look out for me at them. Get a drink Trish, they say. Grab a bite of food Trish, they always suggest. But honestly? Talking with your mouth full ain’t cute guys and 99% of the time I’m too busy running things behind the scenes to squeeze a meal in. On the rare occasions that I do consume alongside my Unilocal pals, I’m honored, and after many a party a chef has boxed me up some deliciousness. But for all the other times? There is In-​N-​Out.
It’s not sad, really it isn’t — cause those burgers are classical delicious. Will I eat in my car? YES thank you, cuz after events I AM STARVING. And it’s a great moment really. Speeding along the highway, stuffing a burger in my face while singing Shakira really loud all in celebration of a party gone 5-​stars: I love my job, and basking in the fun everyone had after its all gone off is one of my favorite things about it. As Unilocalers take themselves home and write glowing reviews of my work (hopefully) just imagine me, grinning, loving this Unilocal life, eatin’ a burger (and maybe a milkshake) and thinking of all of you and how great you are too.
The visit to this location was after our last Brewventure series event where I would normally take home a tacos courtesy of the oh-​so-​delicious Mexico City Cuisine, but didn’t have the heart to bother them after such a busy night. So, In-​N-​Out, we meet again. Thanks for making me less hangry (my boyfriend thanks you too).
PS: I always want onions.

This was my first time eating at In-​N-​Out. We stopped here after we landed in San Diego on our way to Carlsbad. It was late and we were hungry. I had a cheeseburger. The boyfriend got his burger animal style and loved it. We shared some fries with other family members. I’d call it a very solid fast food burger. This location was very clean too. Wish we had these in the Midwest!

Their menu is simple: burgers, fries shakes and drinks that’s it.
I ordered my custom hamburger, no onions add chopped peppers and pickles and the clerk, Alyssa, took my order happily with a smile.
Service was great and so are the burgers. I’m always amazed at the low prices. I would pay much more for such a great experience.

The line moves pretty quickly for a high demand chain. I love their cheeseburger meal with no tomatoes. They have a big parking lot that is shared with oggis. One of the best things about this in n out is that the line segment for the drive thru is very long. Most drive thrus only accommodate 10 cars, but this line could wrap around the block and it wouldn’t cause any problems to anyone in the area.

So good! The pickly, creamy, sweet In N’ Out sauce on the burgers is seriously a gift from the heavens.
The employees here are friendly, upbeat and helpful.
It’s so convenient having this new Encinitas location. Located by Oggi’s.

Well the City of Encinitas went bananas apeshit when this location opened. I purposely avoided it because of the cluster f*ck if was going to do to the traffic in this area. I waited a couple of weeks and then a month and then realized the cluster f*ck traffic is never going to end. And I’m not waiting a year to get my In-​N-​Out fix. So I braved it. And what do you know? It wasn’t that bad.
They have employees outside directing traffic and taking orders for efficiency. And they must treat their staff very well because seriously they all seem so content, friendly and happy.
The food is consistent with all the other In-​N-​Outs I have been to which means YUM.
So this is one of the rare places that I will brave a line because I know they’ve got it going on.
