Great food, music and people. Love everything here and it’s in such a great location. Only problem is parking especially in season.

Just went to the White Elephant on Sunday after a nice day at the beach. We did not have to wait for a table, hostess was fast and polite, however she did not allow as to sit close to the water. She said because the water front tables are saved for bigger groups. It was kind of a bummer… As we set down I started to listen to the music and it was very different compared to other places-well after a few songs we figured out it was karaōke night! Actually it was great fun to listen and watch some of the singers. I would definitely take my parents out to the White Elephant, just to watch the karaōke. Menu was, ok nothing special. I ordered steamers, it was great. My husband had a burger, it was good too. Food came fast and it was good but nothing super special. The price was ok too. In overall we had a good experience. Restaurant also has a dock so you can pull up there with your boat. It is walking distance from Englewood beach, so it very casual.

Casual spot on the water in Englewood, nice traditional Florida Tiki Bar. Pulled up to the dock with my boat on a lazy Sunday. Huge menu, lots of seafood and non seafood options. I went apps today, that and a nice local beer on tap, the Key West Summer Ale! Food served in plastic baskets, but like I said casual Florida beach spot.

I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have more great reviews! We LOVED the White Elephant! Went there with a medium sized group(7 people and a toddler). They had live music playing that night and they sat us by the band which was pretty cool. It was kinda loud, but awesome atmosphere. I like how a portion of the restaurant is open to the marina. That was really neat and made for a nice view. The food was good. All the fish that we ate was super fresh. We had the fried alligator appetizer and several people ordered the ribs and said that they were very tasty. I had the fried basket which was just awesome. We’ll be going back next year when were back on vacation!

Nice ambiance on the bay. Great live music! Server was friendly and attentive. Grouper was good. The rest of the food was poor quality, very plain ~ Cisco type food. French fries were dried out pre frozen krinkle-cut. There were packs of mayo sitting in the sun, steaming hot! We voiced concern to server. Their response was to bring out more mayo. Not our point. Mayo should not sit in the sun. Someone could get really sick.. Will not return for food. Drinks were nothing special. That’s just not acceptable! All bars should be experts in drink creations.

Food is decent for bar food. Service is terrible. You have other options near here. Take them. Skip this. If you must come sit at the bar. Don’t depend on table service.

Horrible parking! If you care about your car, don’t go there. Steel spikes tear off your bumpers and the owner, Patrick O’Conner won’t even return your calls.

This place has it all– great service, great food(our party had fish n chips, cheeseburgers and pulled pork sandwiches), the ambiance on the water is nice and the one man band played great music. Parking was easy right next to the building. We really enjoyed our lunch here.

Good food and service. Had Reuben sandwich and fries. The draft beer was not very cold. A little pricey but average for area. Would probably go back since staff was very friendly.

Great happy hour prices. Peel and eat shrimp were excellent– garlic butter– large– cooked perfectly-yum! Can’t beat the oysters on the half shell — with extra horseradish! View from patio/deck is perfect for a relaxing day by the sea.

This Floridian beachside bar is a lovely location with stunning views, great service, and rocking food. The food is extremely reasonable and compared to other local eateries, White Elephant really brings home the bacon. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a tasty adventure by the gulf.

Five stars for location & live music. Two stars for food and prices So i will round it out to three stars. While visiting the area for a short vacation we chose white elephant because we wanted the typical beach bar experience. The service was quick and the drinks went down quickly and smoothly. Skip the tasteless but strong margaritas and just stay with the creamy and delicious Pina coladas. The food was way overpriced for portion sizes. I wasn’t expecting a michelin star food experience but my 15.00 chicken strips and fries left me craving more food. Our two teenage boys made ramen noodles when we returned back to our beach rental. After a 100.00 tab for four we shouldn’t have still been hungry. We liked the live music that started soon after we arrived. It sort of made up for the lackluster meal. Do your Unilocal homework before spending your hard earned money and make an informed decision.

Actually, I’d go 3.5 stars. It’s a nice place right on the bay, beautiful water, boats, etc. There was a decent guitarist /singer performing. The waitress was a very nice young lady. Ordered nachos for an app, and fried chicken dinner that came with potato wedges and slaw. The dinner was excellent. Very lightly battered chicken, juicy and tasty. Potato wedges were done very well, and slaw was good. The nachos came after dinner because there was no chili ready. It had a ton of cheddar(?) cheese on it, and was large, but not very good. I would steer clear of the nachos. One of my dinner companions had a Chef’s Salad… which was said to be excellent. Veggies and meats were fresh and tasted good. 4 stars The other had a Philly Cheese Steak, which was just ok. The meat seemed like processed meat, apparently. 3 stars.

What started out encouragingly went quickly downhill. First, a nice gentleman diligently assigned us a parking space. I’m sure it is worth it for the management to preserve parking spaces for their patrons. Our hostess was friendly and helpful. We waited for a table on the water, so… Drinks. Bartender was busy, so all business. 23 bucks(with tip) for two«just alright» margaritas and a gin(well) and tonic. Then we got our table. Bingo! Ipswich clams! I ordered a basket. Waitress was busy, so all business. There must have been a misprint on the menu. I’m deked into thinking«Ipswich» meant«Ipswich, MA,» arguably, the best in the world, right? Wrong, in reality, these were SYSCO clam strips(breaded Atlantic Surf Clams), about as tender as if I julienned a Goodyear tire, breaded it and deep fried it. So, I left most of my «Ipswich» clams untouched in my basket, and made a meal of the SYSCO unseasoned fries(if I went to McDonalds, they would at least put salt on my fries). Maybe a little ketchup would make those tasteless fries more palatable? Sure, if I wanted to open individual packets of ketchup and tediously squirt, open, squirt, repeat… Not much good to say. The two stars are because they have tables outside, right on the water. Location, location. By the looks of other negative reviews, it seems the management won’t care about another negative review. As long as people keep coming, nothing will change. Stay away.

Great spot. The cocktails are awesome. The music is always good. The outdoor patio next to the water is really amazing, you always see manatees or Dolphins swimming around. Not as much fun in the rain… But what in Florida is.
