Cafe Yumm!

I absolutely love Café Yumm. It’s one of my favorite places to eat and I visit one of their locations at least once a week, this one being the most frequent since I’m often in the area. The food always tastes great and I love that I don’t have to worry about meatless meals here since most entrees and soups are vegetarian. The staff at this location are awesome too. They’re always super friendly and nice. However, the inconsistency with the yumm bowl portions has been driving me nuts. It’s what I order 90% of the time and the bowls are maybe ²⁄₃ full. Like damn, that really sucks! I just had a small bowl and there was almost no rice and two inches between the food and the lid. It didn’t come close to even a cup of food and it was $ 5.25. I come here so often and am spending enough money to get a full bowl of food, but it’s hardly cutting it. Sometimes I just try to ignore it because it didn’t seem like a big deal, but the more often it happens the more I want to go elsewhere.

Every time I have food here, I fall ill the very next day. I had ‘hot n jazzy’ twice, next day I woke up with sore throat and fever … Food tastes okay, quantity is too less for the price they are charging. I would prefer Mucho Gusto over this one …

Every time I visit my family in Eugene, I make it a point to eat at Café Yumm at least twice. I’ve started to up my order size each visit because I can’t get enough of their bowls. That yumm sauce is to die for, I’ve started buying it bringing it back with me to California, trying to recreate that delicious yumm bowl. If you ever see a Café Yumm, stop by and try their classic yumm bowl. I like them so much I’ve been thinking about franchising my own store!

I like it ok, but it is a bit bland. Better than taco bell not as good as Noodles or Chipotle. There’s so many good places to eat in town, Laughing Planet for one, that I will probably only go back for convince. The staff has always be kind and likable the atmosphere is similar to other mid level fast food resturaunts. Pretty average.

I go here way too much.

I usually order the same thing I’ve changed it up a few times but now I have a really good custom order down.
The employees here usually say, «Hey Jana» when I walk in. They all know me here now, and most know my order.
If my order isn’t right for some reason they always fix it no problem.
This is my favorite location of all of them.

Good concept, but execution falls short. Ingredients were bland, especially the chicken which appeared to be reheated frozen chicken with fake grill marks. Glad they had tapatio to add a little flavor to the bland bowl.

Yumm sauce is my life so I’m obviously a huge fan of Café Yumm. I have gotten many items off their menu but I have narrowed my favorites down to Yumm and Greens and the original Yumm bowl with no cheese or sour cream.
I know yumm sauce isn’t the most healthy condiment, but I’m a huge fan of veggies, rice and beans and it’s nice to season it with the sauce. For those of you complaining about price, you do realize that’s how restaurants work, not just this one, right?

First of all, this is basically my favorite place to eat at for lunch. The service is always good, but today it was exceptional. Our food was delivered to us before we even chose a place to sit. Wow! I’ve never had service that good at a restaurant!

Wide variety of choices. My favorite is the Tempeh Reuben. Had if two days in a row!
Got some Heart of Artichoke Bisque today which was quite good as well.
The atmosphere feels a little like a chain restaurant (it’s a franchise). But the people and the menu would make me come back for sure the next time I’m in Eugene.

This food is honestly super, duper boring. I added a ton of rooster sauce to my food just to give it some flavor. When I visit my family in Oregon I always love trying different places I haven’t yet been to. I grew up in Eugene but currently live in San Diego and I love going out to eat when I’m «home» but hadn’t yet made it here in my food adventures. I honestly will not be wasting my money here again and if I want a fat salad with tofu I’ll continue to hit up Market of Choice. Two stars only for the fresh ingredients, but the execution is just blah.

Service is terrible, I have the time to write this review while I’m waiting in line because they don’t have a separate line for a phone in order. I’m watching 10 people in front of me order while my food is sitting and getting cold. Usually this location does not give us much food in your bowl of the other locations either. From what I understand each of these are franchised and independently owned. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other locations in the Eugene area if you want better service and a dedicated line for phone order pickup. Note to Nina the manager, I only stopped here this time because it was convenient location wise, next time I will go out of my way to go to the location on Delta or the one on campus to avoid this poor service. I’m now taking a bag of cold food home.

Food here is pretty good. I am not a fan of the so called Yumm sauce. I do however like the Nori Wrap. They do need to give you more pieces of Nori with this dish. I will admit that when I do eat here I am usually hungry again rather quickly.

People. Really. No.
First off all, this location is in Oakway Center. Why are you going to struggle to park to eat here?
Second of all, you can make this yourself. Do you know how to cook rice? Open a can of beans? Go to the grocery store and ask «where is the Yumm sauce?» Bang, you’ve got a perfectly good Yumm bowl, and (prorated) it cost you 73 cents instead of 7 bucks.

Best yumm ever!

Lots of people seem to like this place, but I’m not sure why. Basically fast food in a bowl. Rice and some meat or other toppings, sauce made out of tofu and mustard. My spicy bowl wasn’t spicy at all, and the chicken was dried out to almost leather texture. If you like this place, enjoy.

Delicious, quick food, clean establishment. I have been making my own «yumm bowls» since I could use a microwave but its a filling healthy meal, and a great way to add beans and greens to your diet! I am glad that they are actually making it available and easy for people to eat this. Also loved that it was all vegetarian!
I am not sure what was in «yumm sauce» but from its creamy base it looked packed with saturated fat and cholesterol… didn’t really have that great of a taste either-​so I’m not sure what the fuss is over that.

Café Yumm is supposed to be delicious and healthy? I’m not impressed, won’t be back after I learned how many calories I just consumed.
Pros:
— Lots of vegan/​vegetarian options
— Natural, organic ingedients
— People evidently like smothering their healthy food in fat-​laden nut sauce, so if you like that sort of thing, this is where to get it. (Or save some money and guzzle some cheap satay sauce straight from the bottle!)
Cons:
— I know many people love it, but I’m not a fan of the Yumm sauce. I found it too sour, and just the few tablespoons in a medium bowl add 300 (!!!) calories! That’s as much as a cheeseburger!
— Shocking amount of calories. Might as well have a burger, fries and a milkshake, because a medium original bowl contains over 800 (!!) calories and most of your daily allowance of fat. I only learned about the calories after having eaten the bowl, and feel completely disgusted now.
— Overpriced

Okay basically you should just go by this review and skip all of the others. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have 5 stars all over the board. My friend introduced me to café yumm about a year ago and of course now I’m addicted to the yumm sauce.
Café Yumm will you PLEASE grow and make a nice new home in Seattle. While I don’t mind having my friend bring me your what I like to call «crack sauce» it would be so much better if I could see you in my home town.
This is a very healthy yummy food and you should definitely try it. You are missing out if you don’t!

I’m a fan, but my daughter dreams about this place. The Jasmine rice Yumm bowl is pretty filling, and completely vegan without the Deluxe toppings (cheese).
Their service has always been good and quick. Great location to grab a healthy bite near all of the shopping at Oakway and Valley River is a few minutes away.
