This is the perfect neighborbood bar and grill. They always have an interesting selection of craft brews on tap, and the food in general is well above average. The burgers and pizzas are by far the highlight, in my opinion. You can smell the burgers on the grill as you approach from a block away. They are always hand pattied out of fresh ground beef and served juicy and pink in the middle. The pizzas have some of the best crust I’ve experienced. Another highlight is the hand crafted signature cocktails. Think muddled fruits and house-infused liqours. Package all this together with a cozy back patio featuring equal parts sun and shade, and sidewalk seating in the front, and you have an ideal stop for any sunny afternoon.

Cornucopia… oh yah, I know we hear this all the time about this place and that but Cornucopia? I, for one, have never had a better burger anywhere. A friend of mine, Crystal, told me about Cornucopia and said they had the best burgers but I had no idea. They have a really great Tap Beer selection from the different breweries here in town, I have tried the Philly Cheese Steak and it was delicious also, I have always found the place to be clean, friendly, efficient and as fast and attentive as any place I have been. I just cant say enough«GOOD» about Cornucopia… Just a really fantastic place indeed!

We went to Cornucopia for the first time at lunch time on a Saturday. Our party had 4 adults and a 2& ½ year old. Service was good at first. The menu had a good amount of choices and us adults all picked different burgers. My son had meatball sliders with broccoli. Granted, it was busy. But our food took FOR-EV-ER. Two tables who got there after us got their food before us. What’s worse is our waitress never checked on us once. Our drinks could have been refilled at least twice. When the food finally came, it was pretty good. The burger had a juicy and flavorful patty. I had Cajun tots, but they weren’t very ‘cajun-y’. As good as the burger was, it felt a little over priced at $ 13. Everyone has a bad day, so we might give this place another shot, but at the same time we won’t be running back.

We’ve been here several times. The service is always great. The food is pretty good. The menu’s a bit thin for me but what they have is good. They have a great beer list including local beers. From their board it looks like they have entertainment on quite a few nights but we’ve never been there for that. They also have seating out on the sidewalk if you’re an outdoor eating fan. I do try to avoid their tall tables and bar as the tall seats tend to dig into my leg and it makes it hard to enjoy the food. They will also deliver their food to you if you’re over at the David Minor Theatre which is pretty cool.

Food is amazing, service very good, only have experience with delivery, but their delivery is friendly and prompt. Burgers, vurgers(veggie burgers), sandwiches, mac & cheese, and fish & chips all excellent quality and made with great ingredients

This place is a local staple. Think bar with decent food. Thoughtfully Oregon yet genuinely college bar. The table collectively had a swiss mushroom burger, two other standard burgers, the french dip with a variation of fries, tots and hush puppies. Local beers and Moscow mules. Everything was perfectly juicy and yummy, hot fresh fried foods, large portions and quick service. And great for crowds of diverse orderers as there is an extensive menu. Perfectly off the beaten path of downtown just the other side of the«river». Come in, be cozy and old school. But beware, if you ring the bell at the bar it means you’re buying a round for the entire place… so don’t be that guy!, unless you actually have the money to be that guy, then by all means! Thanks random drunk alum!

I have been to Cornucopia before. It was good, I was not impressed, but good. My daughter brought me in for Saint Patrick’s day. I have never in my whole life ate a reuben sandwich before. I do not like rye bread, not a huge fan of sauerkraut, and I don’t ever really eat corned beef. This sandwich was the best EVER, I loved it. I thought $ 13 was a little high priced for the sandwich. But the next day I considered going back for another. Our server was also I nice college student, who was friendly and attentive.

This was my first time visiting Eugene, and I felt very at home at Cornucopia! I had the veggie burger, and the waitress suggested the liberty lemonade which was very tasty. She saw it was my 21st birthday, and surprised me by putting a candle in my drink! I loved it!

We had the regular reuben and the tempeh reuben. SOTASTY. They’re normal-sized sandwiches, not stacked high like some reubens are, but that corned beef and rye will knock your socks off. We did take-out, but the woman who took our order was friendly and helpful.

2 stars seems low, but really– 3’s «A-OK!» just seemed too damn peppy. At 2, «Meh. I’ve experienced better» really sums up my experience. I’d never been in to Cornucopia. We’ve driven past so many times and I’ve heard so many amazing things about this restaurant I really, really wanted to try it! That’s TWO«reallys!» Sunday we had a little extra cash and I wasn’t in the mood for another disappointing trip to a waffle house. We packaged up our wiggly, hungry 2 year old and set out on a mission: TRYTHECORNUCOPIA! Parking wasn’t easy. I expect normally the street doesn’t make for bad parking, but we went Sunday when the church across the street was in session. Oops! The exterior was clean but worn. My first thought upon entering was, «Holy crap this is a BAR?!» So. yeah. I brought my toddler to a bar. One of those bars that’s more of a pub and it’s ok to have minors in until whenever, but there was beer advertising everywhere and a very prominent BAR in the center of the bar. Bar, bar, bar. There was a sign that read, «Please wait to be seated», so we stood there awkwardly with a squirmy little boy feeling the stares. Waiting to be seated gave me enough of a pause to really have a good look around. That’s about when I noticed how dimly lit the place was, and how the carpet seems to have been inspired(?) by the Portland airport. To be honest, given the name and reputation I was expecting something completely different. Maybe something out of Portlandia, something more like the Cornbread Café? We had a seat at a 4-top and requested a booster seat that never came. Water glasses were brought with a carafe of water, kind of a DIY affair. The waitress was very sweet and brought crayons, a coloring placemat, and a plastic cup with lid for our son. It didn’t take long to decide on our order. The menu isn’t large but the descriptions read like something out of a food porno. YUM! My husband went with the waffle topped with berry compote and whipped cream. I decided to be adventurous and went with Huevos Rancheros. The menu boasted 2 sunny-side-up eggs with black beans, cheese, cilantro, pico de gallo, onions, home fries and a tortilla. That sounded heavenly! Our food was ready pretty quickly. The berry compote on my husband’s waffle was a weird shade of purple. Some of the berries had stems, but were flaccid enough to indicate pre-fab frozen berry mixture. The whipped cream was served in a shot glass to be poured over the waffle. I had a bite– it tasted like Bisquick and didn’t have any real crunch. It was very dense and cakey without any cakey sweetness. We both felt pretty«meh» about it. My Huevos Rancheros, well, I’d never had it before but somehow it, too, wasn’t quite what I pictured. I pictured a plate like one might receive in a traditional Mexican restaurant, with cheesy beans and home fries topped with the eggs and the tortilla on the side to spoon the ingredients into. I got a tortilla folded into fourths with 2 – 3 tablespoons of black beans on top one of the corners(picture uploaded). The cheese was visible but nearly imperceptible. The eggs were on top of the beans with a handful of home fries on the side. An unappetizing gray lump of guac was on the side. It wasn’t much for the price, and I’m still puzzling on how it is meant to be eaten in this configuration. Does one carefully unfold the tortilla and scoop everything inside as a burrito? Or pick up the wedge and eat it like a pizza? I opted for the fork but ended up with large, pasty chunks of tortilla. Meh. It was probably perfect and I don’t mean to get all«first world problems» on this, but meh. I wouldn’t order it again and I would hesitate to order it at future restaurants without a manual. The 2 year old fussed over having to have bites from each of us and he’s not normally very picky. Check was delivered and picked up quickly. Staff was all very, very friendly(that’s TWO verys!) In reading other reviews, I see that people are mostly excited about their beer selection and burgers. If I ever make it back, I will have to try one and update my review, but for now. eh. meh.

I really, really want to love Cornucopia because the location, atmosphere and beer selection is all top-notch, but let’s talk about their burgers. Their burgers are *far* from being«the best» in Eugene as advertised. They’re not a bad burger; the patty tends to be flavorful but a bit dry, but they’re not worth the $ 13+ price tag either. Not even close. Any of the other foods I’ve tried here are great though. I was especially impressed by their breakfast. As a burger fan I am hugely let down by the hype and the price.

Incredibly inconsistent and RUDE service. Also, their delivery area seems to change from week to week, based on the whims of who is working. A great burger though.

I want to mention how awesome the pizza is here. Look at the freshly baked pie. It’s not a frozen crust. I got crushed garlic on top and extra sauce. The small size is perfect for a dinner if your a pizza hound like me! And they deliver.

Cornucopia is very Eugene, without the obnoxious«let’s talk about Burning Man and drum circles in November» parts. The food is delicious, total comfort food. They have tasty beers on tap, too. Angela’s Original Veggie 4-eva. With those killer fries!!!

We love this place. It’s small, so expect it to be a little crowded on the weekends. Tots and burgers are always delish. Beer choices galore. Amazing GIGANTIC salads, and most importantly quality food. No hormones, organic, local. You’re giving your money to real people and real quality farms. This is my favorite burger joint in town

The first question I asked myself after eating here was, «what took me so long!?» The second question being, «when can I come back?!» This place is spectacular. Very efficient and personable staff, fun and funky atmosphere(very«Eugene»), and the food is excellent. I have been lucky enough to have their Big Boom Swiss & Shroom Burger, The Mighty Quinn’s Crispy Chicken(sandwich), and Finest Fish Sandwich. All three superb. They give an option of tots if you prefer those over fries(both of which are great), and I recommend the chipotle ranch. Prices are reasonable, and the beer menu offers a delicious array of local suds. I highly encourage anyone who has the chance, to try this little gem.

Remember going here back in college wayyyyyyy long ago. So when we passed through Eugene we just had to hit it up. We came during happy hour, our eyes popped at the sight of «$ 3 micro brews on tap.» Oh mama. They have a good selection to boot, definitely brings back the college feel. Cheap beer and cheap burgers, what more can a college student ask for. Well… maybe not so much on the cheap burgers part. It might just be us but we felt the burger prices were really pricey. Sure the quality of the burger is good, but 12.50 for a regular cheese burger, and almost $ 14 for a bacon blue cheese burger? Price aside the burgers were good, the tater tots were plentiful, and the fries were done perfectly. A good stroll down memory lane, the place looked exactly like we remembered. The price of the cheap beer was evened out by the expensive burger but it was delicious none the less. Thanks for helping us feel young again!

I’m a native Eugenian but currently live in California. Every time I visit home the opportunity to visit cornucopia is a must for their fabulous menu and good drinks. Unfortunately the service I received on Father’s Day with my dad was terrible. We came in at 11:30 and their were plenty of tables and were seated by a nice guy. We had the same waitress as the day before(yes I will come days in a row to get my fix lol) and she was less then pleasant the first day but terrible the second. To top it off we watched a huge fight in the back between her, other wait staff, and a cook. They were then going around a rolling their eyes. My advice to owners of cornucopia– enforce personnel standards so everyone is able to do their jobs with resources they need. No one wants to see your employees bicker, or have a melt down about ketchup bottles like I witnessed day prior to Father’s Day. Also if your waitstaff can’t figure out how to check on a table once every 10 minutes, or at least apologize for being busy, perhaps they should find s new job they can handle. Very disappointed in what is one of my favorite Eugene restaurants.

Incredible food! I had phat Phil’s fish & chips. The cod is scrumptious the hush puppies are delicious and the Cole slaw is very flavorful. All in all a great lunch. I would recommend the onion rings to anyone, they have a very flavorful and addicting coating.

This review pertains ONLY to the catering arm of Cornucopia. To be clear — we love Cornucopia at both locations, but our experience using their catering services last summer is worth a separate review, and an easy 5-star rating. We hosted a 50th Anniversary party in the summer of 2014, with approximately 75 people attending. Cornucopia catered the event, and made the event a huge success. Professionalism of the staff, punctuality, and both food presentation and quality were all outstanding. My wife worked closely with their event planners, and found the process of menu selection easy. More importantly, the finished product was true to expectations(often a rarity when comparing a tasting menu to the final food prep several weeks to months before the event). All food was locally sourced, high quality, and very much enjoyed by our guests. We included salmon, beef tri-tip(with an amazing mushroom gravy/jus!), roasted potatoes, and wide selection of other warm and cold sides. Timing of presentation was spot-on — the food was placed on the serving line, and ready to go immediately. Staff were present throughout to ensure the meal went smoothly, yet remained unobtrusive. Really excellent and friendly all around. Clean up after was also excellent. We will definitely use them again if the occasion arises, and would recommend them without reservation.
