Whirled Pies downtown? Yes! Awesome pizza and calzones, great ingredients and now you can catch a show at the same time! New bar installation is an awesome addition and during shows it is much appreciated. Do yourself a favor and order a pepperoni, green chile & red onion slice…

The review is for the kitchen… They are charging $ 8 for a «Caesar» salad with chicken. Their cooks don’t have the first clue what that is. Not to mention that the chicken was pre-fab, frozen nugget breast things and not real chicken. This was hands down the most inedible salad I’ve ever been served. The dressing was nothing more than watery oil and massive amounts of raw garlic. I was starving so I ate the chicken, but the murdered greens were so bad I threw the rest of it in the garbage. It was a busy, crowded event that night with long lines so I didn’t bother to bring it up while I was there. This will suffice. Do keep in mind that I have not tried anything else. However, other people at the table agreed about the salad and said the pizza from Whirled Pies was just«meh» and could have used more cheese. In the future, when I’m there for a show, I wont be buying food that’s for sure, and I will never ever tip for pre-pay again. Anywhere.

Went there for the first time recently to see a concert. They had a good beer selection and I found the pizza to be pretty good. Was somewhat turned off though by both of the staff that checked my ID. I look young for my age and as such get a lot of jokes from serving staff at stores and bars. However, I was frustrated to be met with rude suspicion and disrespect here. As a paying customer I don’t appreciate the attitude. Probably will only return if there’s a concert I really want to see.

Love the vibe at this reformed Cozmic. Did a couple of shows at the«old» setup, celebrated Obama’s win in 08 there, so being familiar with the general vibe, it’s a GREAT place today. Budget conscious? Happy Hour. Slices and drinks. So freaking Eugene. If you forget something to read, you will be entertained by the walls. Literally. And by drink I mean choices: brews and brewed teas, coffee, beautiful sodas. Water. Breatharian. Just enjoy another spot of history and history in the making(live shows).

Our first time there, we went in and the place was not busy(which I understand is rare for this place and other Whirled Pizza locations). OU starts next week so that will change! Our pizza was great and I also really enjoyed the laid back vibe of the place. The best part of our visit, though, was having Kisha help us out. She was great, made suggestions and nailed it each time.

Cozmic has a nice big stage, and a good dance floor. The sound system is quite elaborate, and the décor is very down home and funky. It’s kind of a barn, the acoustics are boomy and sound could get deafening if they weren’t careful. Don’t try to get any actual food there however. Their food is way overpriced for what you get. I never actually ended up getting anything but the pizza looked and smelled fairly average and the salad that my friend got for $ 9 was just a glorified garden salad, not too big and no protein. After waiting 40 minutes for a slice of pizza and a salad, I checked on it, suggesting maybe my alert box was broken. No, I was told, they are working on your order now. What I really can’t abide is being lied to. Another 40 minutes passed(one hour twenty total) and no sign of my order. I finally demanded a refund, which they grudgingly gave me. Yes the place was crowded but a venue should be able to serve the seating capacity they have by calling in extra staff or whatever. If there is going to be an excessive wait they should give you an reasonable ETA for your food. A lot of people are diabetic and can’t wait hours for a food fix. I was tempted to order some Domino’s delivered there. I would not go back there for food; however I would go back if the show was something I really wanted to see, but I would definitely feel no compunction about sneaking outside food in so I could get something to eat.

I love Eugene and I love live music. This place has a killer new sound system and decent new organized space. But all I can say is. 3 $ re-entry? If you want more of my money make better pizza. Don’t charge me to step outside and smoke. 1 star.

Well since they got rid of the best pizza they ever had I have no reason to go back. Come on, chicken, gorganzola, red onion?! These are a few of my favorite things! Sad day.

Ironically, never had a pizza here, but their salads are so delicious! They pile it high with vegetables(& sometimes there’s some fruit) and it’s fresh, fresh, fresh. I’m never disappointed.

Cozmic is a local institution, mostly because it functions well as a gathering place and a small performance venue. When you have a show that only figures to draw a hundred or so, this is where you book. The stage is quite large for such a venue, so for a substantial musical group or dance troupe, it’s ideal. A friend of mine was in a dance performance there recently, so DLW and I made it a night on the town. The place was pretty full for the show, which included live and recorded music from a DJ booth opposite the stage. Acoustics are pretty good, and everyone had a good view of the stage. We had fun. We also made sure we ate before we arrived. The food here is notoriously bad, so much so that they based an advertising campaign on its bad reputation a few years back when they remodeled. On a previous trip DLW and I sampled pizza and garlic knots. The latter were better than the former, but not by a lot. A couple of our friends had a pizza for themselves, and confirmed that it hadn’t improved much. Drinks were better, including a yummy cherry cider on tap that was quite popular. Watch the schedule for a show you think you’ll like, and stay away from the food, and you should leave happy.

Alas Cozmic is no longer a viable pizza option. I’ve had probably 4 – 6 pies and a few slices from Cozmic in the past year. The slices were invariably meh, but the slice + salad + drink deal was so good($ 5) I was happy anyway. I’m not sure if the lunch deal is still happening, because I just can’t go back anymore. Once upon a time Cozmic had great whole pies, but I think maybe there has been some turnover or something, because the last 4 were all terrible: hard, hard(not crispy, hard!) crust, minimal cheese, and the worst thing is sauce that’s so salty that even being salt addicts as I and my kids are, we just couldn’t stomach it. To top it off, the service is generally gruffly unfriendly and occasionally you have to fight your way through an event’s door crew to get your za. Cozmic is a good music and community event venue, but a pizza joint it is not. 2 stars instead of one because of the lunch deal.

Not being familiar with Eugene… i was not aware that Cozmic Pizza was was an established music venue as well. The space is unusual more long than concert hall like, with a string of tables to eat and drink if over 21… it appears they can customize the layout based on the act. We were there to see Future Islands. a band grinding it out from Baltimore since 2006 but their latest release has gotten national attention. I got the feeling that other than local acts are a rarity there… given the posters and upcoming line up. Th pizza… not bad but nothing i have ever had before… double baked? lots of parmesan? you can order the standard fare by the pizza or by the slice. decent draft beer selection… The space is generally clean… and given it doubles as an espresso during the day not too cluttered for a music venue. The ambient sound of the venue was passable… and generally easy to navigate from standing sitting restroom to bar. Not sure Im going to Eugene again to see an act… but it appears Eugene appreciates the venue and hope more regional and national acts can follow.

Purchased a groupon and finally made it back home to go and use. Oh no, they had changed their hours and the groupon was not valid any longer when they were open. So, I left a voicemail, no response. Too bad for u guys. We have been in before and enjoyed ourselves. Someone should have gotten back with me and the other people who had stopped by that same day to use their groupon. Really doesn’t deserve a star

Unfortunately my wife picked this place for pizza carryout. As i am very unhappy with the taste of the pizza(worst i ever had) i am only going to give it 1 * and not mention pros. Cons: 1. Worst tasting pizza ever and i have tried pizzas all over the world. 2. The tall blonde girl with pigtails is very rude to the customers and to her employees. I hope this is useful.

Cozmic Pizza… Do yourself a favor and drop the word«Pizza» from your name. Too be fair, not the worst pizza I have ever had, Frozen pizzas like Tony’s, Red Baron, etc. still have that honor. But at around $ 21 — $ 37 for a comparatively tiny pizza, medium or large, this pizza should be close to an «awesome pizza». Sadly it’s not even a «good» pizza. I would go as far an say it’s «OK». Surprisingly, there is actually a lack of flavor. In all, I don’t think we(two of us) only ate a slice each. For the price, not worth it. The atmosphere is an OK social place however. Just didn’t like the food and the prices. Do yourself a favor, find a Groupon(only way to make it worth the price and trip) if you want to give the place a try(with skepticism). Chances are… you won’t return.

This place could definitely do without the snotty hipster doorman who was rude to us about wanting to dine the night there was a concert. Rudeness before even going in the front door is a great way to start my first(and now last) experience at your establishment. Showing up an hour before the music starts to eat(and leaving shortly after it begins) doesn’t merit attitude, and as a group of 15 producing a significantly large bill we should have been treated a lot more respectfully. I will never be going back here, the food was ok but I do not recommend the place simply because of the attitude the employees have.

The Pizza is pretty good. Cozmic Pizza is spacious and has an excellent supply of beers and sodas, but I can’t give them a full four stars. I just think they are over priced.

I don’t wish Cozmic any ill-wll. They are a cool community space and they do a lot of fundraising and it’s definitely a cool design inside. If you’ve got a big group meeting up for a coffee, you will always be able to find a place to sit here, unlike most coffee places or restaurants in town. The coffee counter in the back serves a tasty cup. Their pizza is unfortunately not very good and way over priced. I recommend it more as a place to grab a beer or a wine. Their gluten free crust isn’t really fit to be sold, especially for that price. Please. But… at least it is offered. They also offer vegan cheese option, which is a nice touch but I haven’t tried it.

Cosmic pizza… I went in with low expectations because I had purchased a groupon which for the most part is a bad sign for the quality of food. The pizza ingredients where quirky, we had half the big dipper(chicken, gorgonzola, apple and spinach) and half the Hawaiian five O(pork chop that tasted just like Canadian bacon, pineapple and red onions. We ended up waiting 45 minutes which is sort of slow even for an entire pizza in my opinion. The crust was burnt and it had a flower residue on the bottom that was burnt as well that just gave the pizza a nasty bitter taste. Not what I was expecting when I paid $ 30 dollars for one pie. I loved what they were trying to do there but I don’t think the crazy ingredients worked for the most part but I love their style. I am all for crazy ingredients, I think it was the gorgonzola that made it weird, other than the burnt crust of course. This place is very«Eugene.» Couches and weird chairs, more of a laid back concert venue I would say, not so much for pizza. If you have more of a liberal taste you may love this place.

There’s pizza, too?! No shit, Sherlock. Of course they’ve got pizza. And it is pretty good. The one time I had their pie(two gigantic slices), the cheese melted wonderfully in my mouth(how I miss cheese… it’s been a month since I’ve had it… but that’s another story). The pie was a veggie special at the time and had sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes. The other few visits I’ve made to Cozmic consisted of dining on their Mistic salad to which I opted to have turkey added, having coffee for a mid-afternoon R&R, and for watching live music. I like the variety the place offers. They also share the space with a cyber café. Very cool and eclectic, indeed. I think the price for their food is expensive, but somewhat justifiable because of the fresh and organic ingredients they use. And I think they pretty much make everything there(with regards to the pizza). If that really is true, then I’m most impressed! However, I wasn’t charmed by the $ 11 salad.
