Pretty immediate service and they had the tires we needed when we got a flat on our way to Portland. Unfortunately, we had a sharp looking black powdercoat on all four wheels of our Mercedes which they completely ruined. When my husband brought this up, the associate argued with him and tried to minimize the damage because «it isn’t stock». So if you have nice wheels I would call attention to it ahead of time or find somewhere that can perform a damage-​free tire change. We love Goodyear tires, but this location had poor customer service.

My partner and I took our 2013 Kia Soul here to get the oil changed. When I scheduled the appointment online I opted for the free alignment check as well. Upon dropping off the car they tried to up-​sell us on alignment service without even checking the alignment. The time that they estimated for the oil change was better in the shop than online.
We walked to a nearby location to grab some brunch while we were waiting for the car. As part of the oil change they «measured» the tire tread. They called us and told us that the tires that had been on the front and were now on the back were at ²⁄₃₂^nd of an inch and were super dangerous to drive on. They tried to sell us 2 tires for the outrageous price of $ 195 when we balked saying we could not afford that they immediately attempted to push us into getting a Goodyear credit card. The paperwork they gave us said that one of the tires was actually at 0/​32″ the other tire they were trying to urge us to replace did say 2/​32″ and both front tires read 6/​32″ The tire which read at 0/​32″ would have already popped if had already been that.
The car in question was a used car we had purchased at Kiefer Mazda less than two months ago. They would not have let us drive off the lot with tires that were that dangerously low. We immediately drove across town to Kiefer Mazda where they measured the tires and let us know the back tires are at 4/​32″ and the front tires are at 7/​32″. There are other places in Eugene to get reasonably priced oil changes. Don’t give these scam artists your business.

Great employees here! I’ve never felt pressured to buy extras, and the staff has always gone out of their way to be helpful and honest. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else for its preventative maintenance.

I’ve taken my cars here for 3 years, and so far it’s been a pretty good experience. The mechanics are capable, the work is affordable, and they don’t do much upselling. One of them, Gabe, gave me solid advice on which car makes and models to look for in buying (and which to steer clear of) based on reliability and repair costs.
I did have an experience where they wanted to charge $ 440 to replace the alternator with a refurbished one. We negotiated down to $ 400 for a new one, after I stopped by Knechts and confirmed that Goodyear was trying to overcharge for the part and boost their profit. Given all that mechanics could do to gouge customers, when it’s offset by several good experiences with this shop, I consider that relatively minor.
If you tell them to fix «X», as opposed to asking for diagnostics, they will fix «X». If you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about and something else is actually wrong, be prepared to have them (or someone else) fix X and Y. i.e. they won’t go to the premium level of service of trying to figure out exactly what the problem is when the customer asks directly for a specific repair, so check your ego and take advantage of their free diagnostic work to be sure.
There’s a Goodyear tow service that will take your car to a Goodyear shop, and it only costs $ 40. That’s a perk if you don’t have tow service and are using this shop or another Goodyear location. They can provide the contact info.

I have been using these guys to work on my vehicles since 2011. I have zero complaints. They always fix it right the first time. They only fix what truly needs to be repaired (they never sell my anything I don’t need). They are always friendly and they remember me from one visit to the next. Also, they protect the seats and steering wheel while they do their work.

I had a late appointment and the guys still helped me to the a Free rotate. Although my Rover there is only one model for my Rover but it still worth visit.

SCAM ALERT! Took my car in because I had a screw stuck in it. I bought these tires from the Goodyear tire place on west 11^th not even a year ago. They tried to tell me it could not be fixed and tried to sell me a new tire for an outrageous amount. I left and went to the Goodyear on west 11^th where they easily fixed the tire for free.

I have had multiple negative experiences with Goodyear Auto Service center and won’t return to them or recommend them to anyone who needs diagnostics or basic car repairs. On both occasions they overstated the need for a car repair and quoted a plethora of services that my car urgently needed, which upon second and third opinion were not urgent repairs. Their exaggerated recommendations led me to follow up with other shops and validated the distrust I felt towards their staff. In an industry where customers are relieved to find an honest technician and expect to be taken advantage of, Goodyear Auto Service on 7^th kept the bar low.

I always get my routine oil change and maintenance at Goodyear. I’m so glad I found this place.
Sure, it’s not super-​speedy like Jiffy Lube or Oil Can Henry’s, but what you get in exchange is honest, personalized service. As a young woman I’ve had so many experiences with auto centers trying to upsell me and scare me into buying parts or services that I don’t need.
These guys aren’t going to pull your perfectly-​fine air filter out of your car and tell you you need a new one. They’re not going to make you feel bad for using standard oil instead of upgrading fluids, and they’ll keep your choices on file so you don’t have to tell them which one you want every time you go in. They’ll let you know when your car is due for maintenance according to the manufacturer, but they’ll be honest about whether or not you really need it. And since they specialize in tires, they’re great about checking the wear on your tires to see if you need to rotate them or replace them. If they need to be rotated, they’ll do it for free.
I haven’t needed any major repairs on my car except for my regular oil change and fluid checks, but if something does go wrong I’m not going to hesitate about going straight to Goodyear. I bought a set of tires from them once and they helped me pick out exactly what I needed and didn’t try to get me to buy anything fancy.
An oil change with standard maintenance is $ 19.95. It takes about an hour, but they have a nice waiting area with tv, magazines, and free coffee. Since you’re right downtown you can also walk around and come back for it later. One time my service was going to take longer (unexpectedly) because I decided to get my tires replaced and one of the guys drove me home so I wouldn’t be late for work. Awesome!
