5 stars for the bartender (Bridgette) and my fabulous hand-​crafted margarita!
I don’t do sweet & sour or margarita «mix».
So, she muddled limes and jalapeños making me, in essence, the best margarita I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. Make it a Cadillac w Gran Marnier and sweetie peps & lime as a garnish… Oh, beat me whip me call me EDNA!
BTW… She recommended George Clooney’s tequila.
I didn’t shoot it, so not sure how «smooth» it truly is.

Cool bar. Best hummus platter in town by far.
Vegan options.
The pitas and hummus are confirmed vegan (and the pitas aren’t cooked on the same grill as their meat), just order it without feta. The salads come with buttered garlic bread but if order a «half salad» (just ask) it’ll be without the bread and half the price. The sesame dressing is delicious, made in-​house and confirmed dairy-​free.
Nice patio, cool upstairs game area. 2 towns cider on tap. Enjoy!

Great train station dive bar. Excellent large sandwiches and burgers, friendly barmaids and lots of locals. Kind of a hippie/​Eugene vibe downstairs, games and tables upstairs. Good place.

So I understand that this may upset some individuals, but if there is a jukebox in the bar, then let the man play! The bar was practically empty and I may have queued up «Torn» by Natalie Imbruglia several times. The barkeep vetoed these desires, however, such that said song was not played the requested number of times? Why not? I apologized for the behavior of my passion but this was not enough. Jackalope… never again my friend.

been to this place only two times. and the second time I went the little sorority girl working at the bar (think it was a friday night around 11:30pm) denied me drinks for no reason. I had bought 2 drinks before hand, and one for my friend thats was with me, I wasnt drunk nor acting out of control, and was really pissed off to see my friend that was with me get a drink no problem right after I tried. so we up and left immediatley for the poor service. we went to «THE COOLER BAR» instead for the reast of the night and had no problem with the drinks there
yes they have a right to deny service to anyone but this was bull crap and I wont be back, screw you guys

Pretty good bloody mary specials and free pool (pay attention on this one, it will still take your money in the slot if you are dumb enough to put it in there … like someone we know) on Sunday.
Ale pancakes and nice thick french toast. Bacon was cooked just right.
Two breakfast orders and two bloody marys were 20 bucks. Not too bad.
Upstairs has pool, arcades and darts.
Girl’s bathroom has a stall that doesn’t latch and a toilet paper plugged glory hole? I think that was what it was.
Kinda like hanging out at your friends garage and having their mom make you breakfast.
PS They were playing «I like big butts» when while we were leaving.

Love the place! Service is great. Location is perfect for bar hopping within walking distance, there are several options. The smoked prime rib is enough for two and the flavor is really great. Tender meat not full of fat. You can taste the rub on the meat and the smokey flavor is subtle but not tasting like propane at all. Give a try when you pop in on a Saturday.

This place has great service, and great food! Most of the people in here are pretty cool and laid back as well. We went here the other night after finding my mans father had passed we just didn’t want to go home so we stopped in here for some drinks. As I was waiting upstairs some customers must have seen the look on my mans face so they asked how his night was going and he really wasn’t going to tell them but the customer said no really how are you? So he told him. The guy bought my man a drink, and so did the bar tender. I thought that was pretty cool, and the customer even gave him a few hugs. We didn’t eat here that night but I have eaten lunch here with friends a few times and I have loved what I had. The only bummer about this place is how small it is and when there is a lot of people there, there is no where to sit. Thankfully the other night we had a spot. Thank you! You know who you are if you are reading this. That meant a lot.

I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in. I wasn’t expecting much from the menu and was presently surprised. The food was great, the service was excellent and the drinks were cheap.

Jackalope– the best greasy spoon in town! Whenever I’m craving a burger and a deal, I walk downtown and head over to Jackalope, where I never part with more than $ 20 for entertainment and dinner, beers included.
But that’s not all! The best parts of Jackalope include:
1.) The pool tables
2.) The darts
3.) Big Buck Hunter
4.) The mounted jackalope; proof of its existence and validation that Sasquatch can’t be much farther from the train station)
5.) The fast service
6.) The mountainous pile of food that is humbly referred to by the menu as «Nachos: $ 7»
7.) And of course, 1.5 lbs of burger & fries (grease, gratis)
3500 calories consumed over 2.5 hours of Big Buck Hunter? Why not?

The Jackalope retains some charm because it’s in an old building near the train tracks. I’ve spent many nights at outside tables watching the trains roll by… I had a great first date there… I’ve shared many pitchers of beer there…
Bartenders are sort of friendly, but they’ve copped an attitude with me before. Sometimes they ignore me completely, and other times they’ve responded with a snappy, «what???» when I’ve tried to order.
There are usually tables available outside, which makes my smoker self very happy. They have curly fries, which is awesome. Prices are not cheap, but they’re not crazy high.
It’s a decent bar. I keep going back.

I wish I had had a better experience at the Lope. I went for my first time recently after hearing great things. In fact, after using Unilocal to find the most delicious bloody mary in town, we specifically went to jackalope for it. And unofrtunately, it was gross. Three out of five people didn’t finish their drinks, and we are NOT people to waste alcohol. It was so salty that our faces twisted into scrunchy weirdness. I think the whole thing could have been avoided if the bar tender had asked us if we wanted a salted rim or not, because the abundance of salt was too much.
Because we went specifically for the bloody mary, that is why there are three stars here. I did enjoy the bacon with my biscuits and gravy, that was cooked great. Next time, I will get a stronger, less salty beverage.

This is one of my favorite places to go. Good food, pool tables, great location. There is one exception: the service seems to have a pretty terrible attitude. The latest example: I clearly asked for a «Blue Cheese Burger» and was given blue cheese fries by an already impatient bartender (the one with blonde hair). After I sent them back she came outside, rudely stated that it was my fault, and demanded $ 5 from me. I was somewhat put off by her attitude and don’t enjoy complaining about my favorite bar in town… So they get only 4 stars. I highly suggest a couple of the staff take some customer service advice: the customer is always right. I will never go here again.

A late-​night lounge where the food is good, the bartender is your buddy you haven’t seen in awhile, and the crowd is pleasantly and quietly rowdy or fascinatingly cool and cerebral (or both) is a find indeed. Come for the late-​night food – good food – come with friends to escape your roommates, come to find that perfect someone – it’s all here, awaiting you. But come…

Some people really love Jackalope, so maybe it’d be for you, for me it’s a little to country. Maybe it’s the age range, but something about the clientele just isn’t ideal to me as a woman in her late 20s. Food/​drinks are fine, prices are fine, just not my favorite (or even top ten) place to go.
Upstairs is usually fairly quiet and has pool and darts, which can be fun.

This place isn’t too bad… located right next to the train station. We stopped by here Saturday night to play some pool and join the Halloween crowd.
The drinks were good, we didn’t eat (even though we were starving) and we had a good time. Service was quick and kind, never had to wait one time to get a drink.
Pool tables are in good shape, felts are good, sticks are pretty straight for the most part, only a few crooked cues. They have video poker as well, I think only 2 machines from what I seen. There wasn’t too many younger folks hanging around here.
I was a little surprised that they didn’t have much for specials on a night like Halloween… I mean hell, it wouldn’t have hurt to knock a buck off wells and taps…
The downstairs section is pretty tight quartered… upstairs is a bit more open, but with a crowd of people the upstairs gets a little crowded too. One thing I did like about being upstairs was that they have windows that open and allow fresh air in. That was a plus! I was pretty warm so it was nice having the cool breeze blowing through.
We’ll come back down sometime… but wont be the first place we hit up for fun!
