Jameson’s

I’m from out of town so I don’t know if this is the norm. I was not the biggest fan of all the bartenders, some of them straight up ignored me and took orders from people that they saw come up after me even as I tried to flag them down. I connected with one bartender and she served me for the rest of the night though. I only had beer so I can’t really comment on cocktail quality.
I must say, I am a huge fan of the old-​school «Mod» aesthetic they have going on in the bar. The little room in the back with the awesome-​looking table, chairs, lighting fixtures, and décor was very enjoyable. I am most definitely coming back when I’m back in town. The 4-​stars is mostly for my experience, I came and had a good time despite the other bartenders. There’s no reason to let that ruin my time.

great place to go if you hate yourself. men’s bathroom looks like people just stand in the doorway and piss in the general direction of the room itself. bartenders in Eugene are indifferent as a rule but these weirdos take it to a new level. shitty drinks, shitty device dirty environment. they need to offer tetanus shots at the door.

Its pretty weak when you sit at the bar for 10 minutes with ou being acknowledged by a bar tender when theres for on staff and its hardly busy. Drinks werent up to par asked for a moscow mule was give vodka and ginger ale no simple syrup so muddling i could of done with the ginger ale and been happy if the bar tender would have at least made an attempt. ¹⁄₅
Next drink whiskey sour, tasted like mostly sour mix no cherry of any kind or garnish again low attempt at a cocktail. I didn’t recognize many if the bartenders but it seems like they need the a squad in Saturday or some training for there staff on hand for the week end.

This place was AWFUL! We went based on the reviews and couldn’t believe how bad it was. If you want a beer or glass of wine you won’t have a problem. Do not order any sort of cocktail! I ordered a dirty martini and it was just a half filled martini glass with vodka and an olive on a stick. Our friends ordered a margarita and an old fashioned. Both were awful. Not sure how you can mess any of those things up but somehow they managed to. Don’t go. It’s not worth it if you want a good cocktail

I would only ever come back to this bar for punch your bartender night. This bar would make so much money during that special. I wish I could give it less stars

Jameson’s is a run-​of-​the-​mill bar in downtown. Nothing really stands out, it’s just a part of the rotation when one goes to downtown. Drinks and tap selection is nothing really to write home about. They do have 2 pool tables, which is nice. Pretty awful bathrooms, but that’s just about standard for downtown bars. Keep in mind this place can get very packed during the weekend, I don’t think I’ve ever managed to get a table here.

Everytime I go to Jameson’s I have a hard time remembering it the next day but I’m always pretty sure I had a good time. The pool tables are fun. The bathrooms are clean which is a big plus for girls.

If I could give no stars I would. I’ve never liked this place but always seemed to get dragged back by friends.
But after last night I’ll never go back, and I suggest you avoid this nasty excuse for a «club» too.
Jameson exists because its drinks are cheap enough to keep people coming back, despite the weekend douche crush. It’s often over capacity, packed with frat guys and bros of a more homespun variety. It’s impossible to walk through, get a drink or take a piss without waiting 20 minutes.
While a lot of different people end up here, the majority of this miserable watering hole’s profit comes from large groups of young people out to get wasted on the cheap. It’s understandable that the bartenders and bouncers are a little salty.
What’s not acceptable is a an unchecked rage freak with a superiority complex throwing a tiny woman to the ground.
If the owners of this place read this, please fire that bearded bouncer. No, we won’t be back. But you might avoid a lawsuit when his rage gets the best of him.
Seriously. Fuck this place.

Bartenders don’t have a sense of humor. Cut us off after two drinks because we were «silly». Wouldn’t return.

Rudest bartenders I have ever experienced. Skip this bar unless you want a major buzzkill.

I love this bar! It’s warm and moody and the bartender’s have great taste in music. It’s the perfect place to go have a quiet conversation in one of the booths or seating areas during the week or earlier hours. The lighting is amazing and the bar always smells of fresh lilies. The bouncers are friendly and no-​nonsense. The staff knows the regulars’ names and always has a smile for them. Like every bar in downtown Eugene, the weekend nights are overly crowded and full of college kids who don’t know how to behave, so don’t expect the bartenders to have time to chat you up on a Friday or Saturday night, but they know how to throw down in a rush! This bar is close to my heart and no downtown crawl is complete without bellying up for at least one at Jameson’s.

Pros:
— Good drinks.
— Good music.
— Cute lighting and décor. It’s a nice looking bar in general.
Cons
— Bartenders and bouncers are kind of hipsters that don’t talk to anyone unless they already know them. I felt weird even introducing myself. They are kind of the «don’t talk to me unless you want something» and «I’m better than you» type.
— Gross bathroom.
I like this bar a lot more on the week nights. Not as crowded and no college guys trying to pick you up.

Pours great drinks, never had any food here. Happy hour is a must!

I don’t generally like to judge a book by it’s cover but I WILL judge a toilet that looks as shitty as the one here.

Let me start by saying that daytime Jameson’s is great! Never a bad experience. Comfortable crowd just kicking back with familiar faces. You can’t go wrong.
However, the miserable late-​night bartenders dampen the experience. A smile doesn’t hurt, busy or not. Remember, you’re still in the service industry. Here’s a tip: stop acting like you’re better than the people you serve. And if it’s just plain boredom or hatred for your job, leave. Someone else probably deserves your spot. Don’t take it out on the patron who’s just seeking a fun night out on the town. It’s not as if pouring a simple two-​part drink or pouring a beer is that much of an obligation.
Otherwise, the few outgoing friendly bartenders are great.
On busier nights there are too many bros and painted ladies on the prowl for my taste. It’s just a meat-​market the later it gets. That being said, if it’s late and you’re just looking to grab a drink and relax, this isn’t the place for you. It’s an extension of campus on weekends. Go during the day or on Monday/​Tuesday nights.
Try Jakalope where the bartenders are always the perfect example of what a bartender should be. Sam Bonds, Blair Alley, Lucky’s, Cornucopia…

If you like bad service from stuck up hipsters, this is your bar!!! Avoid!

Awesome dive bar with pool and lots of available seating. Food is ordered from Horsehead’s menu and delivered to you.(establishment across the street) happy hr daily from 4pm-​9pm. Does tend to get crowded on weekends so arrive early!

I love this bar! It reminded me of Nihon Whiskey Lounge in SF.
The lighting is absolutely perfect! The whole place is just sultry and loungey. I was definitely underdressed, especially considering I literally just woke up and left the house –_​_​_​–
The place is huge with plenty of seating area, tables, and pool. They also have an outdoor patio area where you can smoke. It was pretty packed but I was always able to find a place to sit!
The crowd really runs the gamut from college kids, international students, and 50 year old men. That is either a plus or a minus to some of you guys but I think it just means its a place where everyone can feel comfortable!
I got a vodka coke (I know its a horrible combo but my friend got it for me). It was pretty cheap. $ 3 – 4 dollars. Their beers are really cheap too. I wish we could’ve stayed longer here!
