As regards medical care, it was entirely adequate.
However, be forewarned — you may be billed and billed again for more than you expected. I thought I had paid all that was required to have a laser treatment on my eye. No! There were preliminary exams needed. Ka-​ching! Then there follow-​up exams to be had. Ka-​ching! Bring your pocketbook.
Let me elaborate. After the laser treatment there was a follow-​up exam a month or so later. I had budgeted enough to pay for the laser session, but was concerned about the cost of the follow-​up appointment so I called to check on whether or not it was included in the fee. It was. Whew – ok, so I went. They then scheduled a second follow-​up visit. OK, I thought, they’re being thorough. That was another month or so later. Imagine my surprise when the bill came for that appointment!
It turns out that the second visit was more than 90 days after the original laser treatment – outside the window covered by my insurance. At no time was I warned that there was such a time window by the Polansky/​Gross office staff, who were not terribly sympathetic. I thought I was covered because I had confirmed that the first was covered and assumed the second was as well.
So – if you can afford it, by all means go.

Mr review is of one of Dr Polansky’s partners, Dr Jason P Gross. I needed cataract surgery and was most impressed by his bedside manner and the proficiency of his staff. Unlike the meat market over on Oak, the waiting rooms are pleasant, relatively uncrowded and you don’t wind up waiting and waiting for the Dr to see you. While the «other place» was bent on selling me the $ 5000 lenses, Dr Gross took the time to give me a survey and we found that the lenses covered in full by Medicare were sufficient for my needs. I’m 3 weeks out of surgery and couldn’t be happier. Dr Gross is very precautionary and I like that he’s young (40ish), so I’ll probably be able to stick with him the rest of my life. I’ve seen many doctors over the years and Dr Gross is one of the very best.
