I have taken my bike in for repairs for a couple years now with good service. They are nice people with a good business angle… teaching repair and organized rides on Saturday mornings. Last week, when my bicycle was stolen, I went straight over and purchased a Diamondback for a fairly good price. I was sold a plan that included two tune ups and some tire repairs over 2 years for $ 80. Long story short, the bike didn’t feel right, nor did the $ 80 extra I paid in advance for repairs. So, I returned the bike and repair plan, and purchased a Trek at another bike shop… which included one year of unlimited repairs because Trek has a great warranty. I only deducted one star because this bike shop has had my back for two years, and has often discounted repairs. And they really are pretty nice people. I will continue to go for repairs and tune ups once my new bike is no longer under warranty.

This is a great store for accessories. I’m not sure about buying a bike from a big box retailer. I would look into your local store first. I find the employees there to be more knowledgeable, and they usually carry better brands like Trek and Specialized. PB has a huge selection for just about every accessory you can think of for your bike. They usually have sales going on all the time too.

Very nice place. Guys at repair shop were very nice and respectful. Especially the gentlemen w the ponytail. He did what needed the labor fair was only $ 9.99. More than worth it! My son rides a BMX so I normally go to hutch’s but this is definitely my second choice.

I have had nothing but GREAT service and support from Performance. The staff at this store are knowledgable, friendly and professional. Any problems with equipment, whether my fault or not, have been handled promptly and always in my favor. The warranty on every product they sell is unequaled in nearly any industry. They have went above and beyond to earn my business!!!

by Jackie A. on 03/23/2015 I’ve been in that store twice; 1st time the customer service was fair, the product was over priced. The 2nd time the customer service was poor, and I wasn’t in the store long enough to look at the product nor prices.

This shop is amazing. The guys at this location are super helpful and very knowledgeable. They have a variety of experience at this shop from mountain biking, road, race and touring. Anything I want to know someone there has the answer. Also their prices, particularly on sale, beat most any online price.

Sent my daughter & wife to Performance Bike pick out a bike for my daughter. They are having an awesome sale. The staff member took his time explaining & adjusting the seat on several bikes my daughter test road. Staff member patiently explained the benefits each style of bike she tested. After spending three hrs my daughter decided on this one bike. Upon checking out staff member mentioned joining Team Performance Buyer’s club to get a bigger discount. My wife smiled, wanting more information on benefits. Staff member explained ALL the benefits. My wife joined. Later in the day my daughter & I went on a ride. She really enjoyed the ride & her new bicycle! Thanks Performance Bike for taking the time & care to fit the right bike to my daughter. :-)

Clueless and classless. I called first to see if they had the 24″ wheelchair/kids bike size tire I needed. The salesman assured me they did. Just in case I took my wheel in so their«expert» could hold in his hand what I needed and sell me the correct size. Brought it home knowing I’d have the right tubes and tires for the rims when we had time to mount them. See whats coming? Yep — they were the wrong size. Would be a minor thing except that when I took them back to xchange for proper size they didn’t have that size. Don’t carry that size AND they wouldn’t refund my money. Because I had used a business check they would only give me store credit — no refund. Every other bike shop in Eugene carries that size tire because we have a large active wheelchair using population. My bad for going to a «National Brand» shop instead of one of our many great locally owned businesses. Paul’s Bicycles on Alder set me up immediately and their tires were a much better quality and price. Buy Local is my advice!

Great new bike shop! I went in today shortly before closing because I needed a presta/dunlop to shrader valve adaptor for the bike I brought with me from The Netherlands. I had previously tried REI, but the first two employees had no idea what I was talking about, and when the REI bicycle guy finally had time, he told me they’d have to order them. So today when I wanted to ride my bike and realized it urgently needed more air, I popped by Performance Bicycle, which is conveniently close to my house. Beautiful, enormous store, large selection of bicycles, pretty much everything else that’s bike related, and yes! My valve adaptor! Not only did they have it, they had a big basket full sitting right at the front desk. Wow. Cheaper than the one on Amazon too.(I was going to order it online, but didn’t want to pay shipping. The one at Performance Bicycle actually cost less even without adding in shipping) Friendly service, close to home, huge selection, beautiful store, good prices, and not too judgmental-hippie-like. What more could I ask for?
