Burch’s Shoes

This is a great store! Well lit, great selection and incredible customer service. Krystal right away understood what I was looking for and was quick to make suggestions. She provided socks and even walked me to the door after my purchase. She made the whole experience pleasant and easy. We need more local businesses like this in our community!

Terry helped me pick out the perfect pair of walking shoes without any pressure to select a particular shoe. It was handled quickly and efficiently despite the wide variety of selections available. After telling Terry what I was looking for and my particular concerns, he immediately identified and explained the differences between four or five different shoes in three brands. He helped me try on about six pairs after sizing me. (Apparently getting older has caused my feet to flatten and get bigger.) I ended up selecting a pair of Keen’s that were on clearance. I will definitely be back.

The service is IMPECCABLE! You just can’t find service like this anywhere else, the staff is completely knowledgeable, they take time with you, and the company stands rock solidly behind every product they sell. PLUS they have beautiful quality products, and the selection is great.

We just went there today for the first time to buy our son a pair of shoes. We ended up buying two pairs of great shoes; the sales-​woman (???not sure of the PC label) was patient, efficient, and flexible (did the fitting while our son was glued to the merry-​go-​round). I have heard great things about this company, and am now convinced of its greatness. They have a wide selection of shoes for the little ones (I’m guessing the same wide selection exists for adults) with varying widths.
Now, if only they would expand their business to Roseburg!

Love this store. My fiancé received a gift certificate for Christmas and since we are not from the area we stopped by two days later. There was a great selection and many sizes and widths available. The customer service was the best. Not only did the salesman help us find a could of pairs of shoes, but he took my sons old boots to the back and oiled and shined them while we shopped. A fabulous experience. We will be back next time we are in town. What a great find!!!

I highly recommend Burch’s. They have new styles that work really well for someone who needs a dress up shoe. They also service their shoes with a polish and shine. I think the salespeople are great too. No complaints. This is a good quality local buisness.

The staff at Burch’s is fantastic. I was able to get a perfect gift in the right size for my daughter: tall, button uggs. They have a great selection of Uggs, Frye’s, Dansko and more…

There is a big difference between shoe shopping in a store that just sells shoes and a store that shoes are a profession. I first went to the Walking store at Valley River. The sales person was nice but did not understand my odd size foot-​most don’t. I hate buying shoes as they never fit well.
As soon as the salesman saw my foot he said «I understand and we probably have three styles that will fit you «. He was right. It was an experience that has committed me to shopping Burches. The shoes are not inexpensive however you get what you pay for,

Burch’s is an old person shoe store.
But I go to sleep by 10PM most weekdays.
I found a pair of Clarks desert boots on clearance at this place for $ 80. I love these kicks, the customer service was great, and they offered a free weatherproofing before I went out the door.
Has anyone mentioned the free coffee and snacks? Apparently old people love SWAG too.

The last time I was browsing in Burch’s, the salesperson noticed my somewhat worn Dansko clogs and offered to polish them free of charge! What service! I almost felt guilty not purchasing anything after I was wearing my shiny (old) shoes.
Offering a large variety of slightly conservative and practical styles, fashionistas should check out Miss Meer’s nearby for strappy sandals and high heels. Burch’s carries high quality lines like Clarks, Uggs, Keen, Merrell and Dansko, to name a few brands. Essentially, be prepared for pricey, comfortable shoes that hold up well, on average. They are very well equipped with footwear appropriate for all PacNW seasons! Reminds me of a cross between REI and the Birkenstock Store.

I am impressed. Burch’s offers some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. The sales staff is not just polite and helpful, they know more about the product they sell and use that knowledge to find some of the most comfortable shoes you can wear. When you grow up and decide that footwear needs to do more than just look good, and are ready to have a conversation with someone that can guide you into a great product, head to Burch’s.

I used to walk into a shoe store and browse until I found something I liked the look of. I would ask to try it on in my size, and if the shoe didn’t make my foot hurt, I was likely to buy it. The problem would surface days or weeks later when the shoe was uncomfortable to stand in all day, or didn’t have enough support for an activity.

At Burch’s, I don’t browse. I discuss my needs with their staff (I usually ask for Terry), and they find potential shoes to take care of me. I’m on my feet all day, and need my shoes to keep up. Work shoes, running shoes, casual shoes, I get them all at Burch’s.

Great selection on quality footwear and competitive prices. I went to the walking store in Valley River and was told if I ordered a pair of shoes there was not return policy if they didn’t fit when they arrived. Decided to try Burch’s instead. I told them my dilemma with the Walking Store and not only did they say I can return them they ordered 3 shoes, the size I wanted and on size bigger and smaller to make sure I got a pair that fit. 2 months later they started to fall apart and I was in shopping for a new pair. The salesman looked at the pair I had on + traded them for a brand new pair no questions asked and 2 years later I still wear them 5 days a week at work. You don’t hear these stories much anymore but I bet that is why this establishment has stood the test of time. The employees at Burch’s will listen to your needs and make the right recommendation. Their products are a perfect example of the saying «you get what you pay for»!

Customer Service. Think it is something of the past? Not so, if you shop at Burch’s! The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.
The variety of shoes is amazing and in the back they have a discount rack. As an avid Dansko girl, I seek this place out for my purchases.
One thing I appreciate is the attention to detail there. I knew Dansko’s where hand made, but it never occurred to me that each pair would fit differently. That was a gem I learned shopping there, and it was 3 pairs later that I found the perfect fitting one.
They have a sale twice a year, but their prices are competitive with everyone else, so go where the service is good.
