Starbucks

I have frequented most of the Starbucks locations in Eugene but the 18^th & Pearl is my easily my favorite. My drink is consistently correct and the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. It gets busy here with the line frequently crossing the entire store but they process it remarkably quickly and always with grace and kindness.

This Starbuck’s was my favorite one in Eugene, due to it’s location, friendly staff, clientele, and comfortable chairs.
However, after just undergoing a remodel,
All that has changed for me. They removed all the tables & chairs, replacing them with very uncomfortable furniture that makes you want to leave after 15 minutes.
The big, comfy leather chairs are gone! In their place, backless stools and tiny tables make it impossible to have a pleasant visit with friends. That was the main reason I went there, for the fellowship in the «community» coffee shop.
Now it feels like an industrial airport Starbuck’s, unwelcome and uncomfortable. Many of my friends have left, and are scattered around town. I too am thinking about voting with my feet if they don’t restore some comfortable furniture and pleasant ambiance.
Most other Starbucks in town have at least a couple nice chairs. I say, «bring back the big leather chairs!» Restore instead of ruin, this once great community coffee shop!
