I Love Sy’s! If you’re going to school at UofO or escaping from the confines of your PeaceHealth cubical look no further for a great made to order pizza by the slice. Sure it’s a little spendy hole in the wall and someone with patchouli oil may rub up on you while you wait but it’s one of the best NY style thin crust in town. Sy’s Matters!

I’ve never had anything bad here! My favorite pizza place in Eugene, although the location is very inconvenient for me.

I hate this place and am never going back. After an actually decent slice of pizza with some friends, I tossed a can of Coke into the trash with my plate. The guy behind the desk proceeded to come over to me yelling, with explicit language, about how I should have recycled the can. We nearly got into a fist fight. Just don’t go unless you’re very conscious about your waste.

I like the pizza’s taste, It’s good enough for a quick splurge by the slice. Always fills me up when I go. The toppings are a little bit pricey, since you pay for each one. The pizza can be pretty oily and falls apart when you eat it. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to eat pizza at. The place is small and usually I get to find a place to sit. Employees have always been sweet and provided us with quick service. Soda and little garlic knots are sorta pricey, though. Haven’t gotten a full pizza, but they’re pretty darn expensive.

Sy’s is my favorite pizza in Eugene and it’s been a favorite in my family for 32 years. Sy’s has the best crust around. It’s New York style thin crust and it’s thin enough to eat al libretto, if you like folding your pizza. Plus, the slices are huge.

If you’re looking for a no-frills, quick, thin-crust slice of pizza, Sy’s is one of the best in Eugene. There isn’t anything fancy about the place; you can order thin crust neapolitan or deep dish sicilian pies or slices. The white pizza is rich, and as close to almost-too-cheesy as you can get in the best way.

«Food of the gods…» There is nothing like Sys in town. This is among the best pizza on the West Coast. The best and only way to eat Sy’s is by the slice-getting a whole pizza tastes a little different. Have one slice of Sicilian and one slice of Neapolitan. But I cannot emphasize this enough-this is, «food of the gods…» I’ve only eaten at the campus location and that’s where I would recommend going. And they also have the best fountain cokes in town. The crushed ice is amazing –it’s like having an icee!

I love Sy’s pizza and so should you. It is a Eugene institution to which you should commit yourself.

Yummy fast pizza with a lot of options for toppings. Garlic knots are delicious as well. Close to campus!

place looks kinda dirty. employee was sweet. pizza by the slice is just an old looking cheese pizza that they add expensive toppings to and reheat. fast but they don’t put any cheese on top… so the toppings fall off while you are eating it. the pizza wasn’t bad though. chewy crust. you can pick canned or fresh mushrooms. might be cheaper and better overall if you get a whole pie? I’ll just get a slice of cheese next time.

This is the best New York Pizza you’re going to get around this area. I like how big the slices are here and that there’s always pizza that doesn’t take very long to get. You can’t go wrong with a couple garlic knots here too as well. Service can be hit or miss here but not much as expected when somebody cuts a slice of pizza and throws it in the oven and have it ready for you in about a minute.

Really nice people working there, and delicious pizza! I go there once or twice a week and it is a great place for college students to get lunch.

Great for those going to college nearby, this is pretty basic pizza. They bake it right there, but nothing to write home about. California Pizza Kitchen is much better.

I ordered a pizza from here based on the Unilocal score, however I was incredibly disappointed. I knew as soon as I walked in the door and saw the girl making pizza rolling out cold dough just pulled from the fridge that this was not going to be good quality pizza. The crust was flavorless and awful, and the pizza was mostly cheap disgusting cheese with very little sauce. They also charge an additional 50 cents for what equates to a tiny shot of ranch dressing. Never again Sy’s, never again. Apparently this is a pizza joint that caters to drunk college kids.

Quite possible the worst pizza I’ve ever had!!! I was on a road trip with my 7 year old twin boys. They wanted pizza for dinner. I searched on my phone for pizza places near me. Sy’s came up. I read the reviews. Ok, let’s try it! I wanted a veggie slice. The girls behind the counter seemed more interested in talking about her brother’s pet snake and in watching The Big Bang Theory than actually helping me. Then what they did next truly was disturbing. They took the stale cheese pizza in the case and added the veggies I asked for(raw) and at .80 cents a piece. I paid over $ 5 for a Subway like pizza slice that was disgusting. You think they could’ve put it in the pizza oven to warm it up/cook the veggies. NO! I also ordered a salad, and it was rotten! Iceberg lettuce in a small plastic container. On the top it looked fine, so I dug in. Only to discover that this so-called salad was rotten. What a terrible experience & disgusting food. Skip this place.

I love all of my late-night food joints around campus and could not be more grateful for them! Sy’s Pizza just around the corner from school. I love that you can pick your toppings, although I find it a little pricey at $ 0.80 per topping. They do pile on the toppings, and the thin crust pizza does NOT disappoint! I get the Neapolitan slice, which everyone says is the better of the two pizza choices. The Boyfriend and I pick up the garlic knots, too. They’re little bites of delight… real garlic-y and surprisingly sweet. I wish the garlic to bread ratio was a little even out, though. Sy’s is a fun little joint to eat at when it’s not too busy as seats are limited.

So the fiancé and I joined a cross fit gym(review to follow) and we finished our first work-out and we decided to treat ourselves to a few slices. To add to that we’ve been eating primarily Paelo the last few weeks with both of us seeing really decent results. So we’ve tried Papa’s(won’t dine there again), Track Town, not bad for a buffet and the pizza comes in various flaves to get your variety on) I’d go back, Figaro’s(easy delivery service but overpriced and on the weak side), Sizzle Pie not a bad slice but not making me have to return, and lastly Sy’s. I’m originally from NY and I know a good slice of pie. The first three places I visited pale in comparison to a slice of NY-Goodness. I have to say, opening the door at Sy’s had a welcome aroma of home town smells. Might we have found our local shop to grab a slice to give in to the carb gods? Quite possibly!!! We both ordered a traditional slice(GF added Pepperoni to hers) and a slice of Sicilian and a few garlic knots. The slices are about the most resembling of NY pizza as I have come to cherish. The Sicilian was fun and by that I mean it was a gluttonous treat. Back to the traditional slice — The crust was crispy and tasty. The slices are for the most part pre-made and you decide on what toppings you want added. This means that the additional toppings are added and just cooked on top rather than in the mix. The sauce is a little on the sweet side for me but that is me being EXTREMELY picky. I would definitely go back but I am still going to try out other pizza shops in the Spring/Eug area. Not basing my 4 stars on it but the parking situation is not fun as it is in the heart of UofO country. I am sure we will be back to enjoy some carbs a la Italian influence :)

Sy’s is one of my favorite pizza spots in Eugene. I like to get a few slices of pepperoni with black olive regular crust. Price is reasonable, a little greasy but Sy’s is always prime. Very limited eating space on the inside. Outside chairs and tables exist but I can’t remember the last time it wasn’t raining in Eugene. Great pizza!

Best place around campus to get a quick lunch. The place is small and a little dank, but the pizza is quality and fairly cheap. Be sure to throw a few garlic knots in along with a slice, they’re delicious and cheap. They’re open fairly late too, which makes them a key spot for drunk munchies.
