The Filling Station

Great place to fill your growlers! Wide variety of different brews and ciders. Nice laid back location to grab a pint or two with friends! Staff is friendly! The owner Tony is a great guy to have a conversation with. Really enjoy the location as it on the way home from work and near where I live.

Our (only) neighborhood watering hole worth going to (sorry Shooters, you didn’t make the cut). Tony is very kind and always has a great selection on tap. Prices are great. The only change I’d love to see is maybe a couch or two (something softer to sit in than wooden chairs, maybe around the corner in the back of the pub?) with some softer lighting. It’s nice to settle in and get cozy for a beer or three, and small changes to the ambiance would be great for that.

As a recent transplant to Eugene, and Oregon, I have found The Filling Station to be exceptional! They offer samples, as many as needed to find the perfect beer, and offer advice if you are unsure. I am not a big IPA fan, and they have many options to fit my wants. The owner has also been very helpful in offering suggestions about ways to supplement our future home bar, as far as taking us into his back room to show us he can supplement products we buy from other retailers. Quality establishment, and always very friendly staff!

The Filling Station is the perfect place to go to hang out with friends or just grab a beer after work. They have close to 40 beers and ciders on tap and knowledge of where they come from and how they are made. It’s the place to be on River Road in Eugene. The atmosphere has a neighborly vibe that makes you feel right at home.

I rented the table top bar for a backyard BBQ. It was the hit of the party! We had four different beers on tap which was equivalent to a pony keg. Doing that allowed us to have variety, opposed to just getting a pony keg of one beer that you hope everyone likes.
Two days before the party we went in to taste beers and narrow down the HUGE selection to just four. Tony, the owner, was amazing and patient with us. He had great suggestions and let us taste as many as we wanted to make our selection.
Tony built the table top bar himself with the CO2 included. It’s quite impressive. A little heavy, but with two strong people’s help we had no problem getting it in and out of the back seat of my Corolla. Tony even has a system to keep the beer ice cold all day long.
I highly recommend the Filling Station for all your tailgating/​party needs!

People are friendly and you can sample before you buy. Would be nice if they had a popcorn maker and more snacks since they don’t serve food. Small selection of ciders compared to beer. Increase the cider options and snacks and it would be 5 stars.

Wow! I love this place. I like how there’s a simple niche. The bartender was extremely polite and helpful. The selection is great while prices are even better. I will certainly be going back before I head home to NJ.

Thanks to Tony and Gail I have had several great experiences at the Filling Station. Impressed with the selection, experienced suggestions and love the atmosphere. Great place to take your favorite food and pair it with an interesting beer choice. Or Tony can help you choose. Always different local breweries to choose from.
PLUS * I have been to two of their Beer and Food pairing dinners which were outstanding! Such a different slant on an evening out.
It is really nice to see an establishment going the extra mile to make different experiences.
I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to my friends.

Got a Sangria last time to share with friends and it was fun for summer!

Our daughter recently graduated from U of O and we were planning a back yard celebration for her at some friends’ house (we live a few hours away). The size of the party kept changing over the course of a week from the original estimate of few people. Tony was so flexible, and he made several helpful suggestions, including what we should and shouldn’t serve, how much we needed for the type of party we were having, and the types of serving equipment would best suit our needs. He even offered to come in before they opened the day of the party so we could pick it up when we got into town. We ultimately ended up deciding on a different route due to several factors, none of which involved Tony or the Filling Station, and I felt very badly as he had spent a lot of time helping us. GREAT customer service.
And I haven’t even mentioned their tap list! Check it out, and they have several excellent ciders from which to choose as well.
I wish we lived closer, I love me a good growler fill and we’d be there often.

It’s okay to have a server who is not familiar with cider or who does not give good service from time to time; however, my server showed exceptional service to the person in front of me (who was very high maintenance), and then barely acknowledged me after a lengthy wait. No apologies or acknowledgement for my standing around for 10 minutes.
Very little help regarding the cider offerings + no offer to sample + barely a «thank you» when I chose to fill my growler with something I am not familiar with. GRRRR! This is sad, because River Road is in DIRE need of good dining and brew establishments.
I will not go back. I recommend that my River Road neighbors go downtown to Growler Guys or to Tap and Growler. Or, head up to the Delta exit for Steel Pail.
Filling Station, your server’s complete lack of desire to graciously serve and her careless disinterest regarding your cider offerings today (Saturday, June 6) was attrocious.

Awesome staff and quite the variety of beer, wine and cider. A pleasant atmosphere and good food available from the food truck outside. I am a weekly customer and just love this place.

If you live off River Rd, this is the perfect place to get your growler filled! Great selection. Nice indoor atmosphere.

Great place and much needed in the Santa Clara area. The owner and all of the employees are genuinely friendly people. They have a large selection of beer and cider on tap. They have several wines available as well, although I haven’t ever sampled any of their stock. It’s a small place, but it is comfortable. Only thing missing is a little music or a couple more televisions for games. I love it… a great place to spend a few minutes… or hours!

River Road’s first snazzy growler fill/​brew place! At least that I’ve noticed. Large selection of growlers. All beer priced well and clearly numbered on a big fancy chalk board. TV, darts, but not a typical bar feel. And that’s a good thing. Owner is always in, and there are food trucks on weekends. Only downer is no minors at any time. Great place! River road needs a face lift!

Great servicel great selection! Try the Blackberry Cider! The Filling Stattion has 27 beer taps, 6 cider taps and a few wine & sangria taps as well. I really enjoyed this place!

The Filling Station is my favorite place to grab great beer. I stopped in because I live so close, but I came back because of the casual atmosphere and great prices.
The owner is willing to chat while he pours you a beer or fills your growler. They have tons of beer, cider, wine and soda to sample or take home. Around the corner, there are games to play and places to sit and chat.
I have never had a bad experience here, and I like to support local business. Try it out!

It’s a blast… I honestly could not be more impressed. Tons of beers/​ciders to sample and choose from… the wines are chilled so if you drink red you’ll want to take it home but the whites were wonderful… Went with a large group and everyone loved it… the Husbands made it out to the food cart and food was delivered inside, hot and fresh. the décor was nice and clean-​and the service was perfect… I can’t wait to go back
