Tony’s BBQ is a unique set up where you can actually drive up to the window like you are at Dutch Bro’s. Thankfully, you aren’t met with a group of hyperactive 19 year olds bumming adderall off their friend’s little brother. Nope, you get Tony. He’s a down to earth guy who is clearly passionate about his craft. I highly recommend his pulled pork. This is the closest to Tennessee pulled pork I have found in Oregon. While the pulled pork is outstanding, the brisket was not tender enough and a bit disappointing. That being said, Tony had exceeded my expectations in the pulled pork department, so I can only take off one star for the brisket. Perhaps it was even just a bad day on that front. If you live in Santa Clara or happen to be driving down river road, drive through and grab yourself a delicious pulled pork sandwich and chat with a cool dude.

Really great local BBQ! Lots of choices, and even a way to order bulk ahead of time. I had the Mac Attack, which was pulled pork with mac and cheese on a bun, and it was really tasty. A bit messy but that was a good thing. My friend had the hot links and really enjoyed them with their hotter of the two BBQ sauces. Our second time, I just had the pulled pork with the hotter of the sauces(not too hot but with a kick I liked) and it was also great, some of the best pulled pork I’ve had. Glad to see they’re opening another spot a little farther down River closer to Beltline too.
