Quite the decent steak! I was pleasantly surprised. We are usually there just for breakfast but decided to go for dinner. Had a regular steak with veggies and a baked potato. The veggies were burned and soggy but other than that it was not a bad meal

Pretty good. I would give it a 3.5 if that was an option. Stopped in Eureka for the night on a road trip and we went here as it was right by our hotel. The service wasn’t bad and the food was good. The mains come with a choice of salad or soup which was a nice start to the meal. It was reasonable as the meals were a good size. The inside was old fashioned and could’ve done with a make over. Overall the food was good and I would recommend for a quick, casual meal if you are in the area.

Stopped in to kiil time while my car was in Dan’s Auto Electric for work. I was curious to try their corned beef hash because last March while shopping at Winco for a corned beef that very nice manager at Adel’s had stopped to help me pick out a good one. Their corned beef hash is FANTASTIC, nice and crispy. Recommended.

Four of us go this time and while waiting for seating directives we are told that the entire upper section is dirty and would we sit in the lower section. Let us be clear, the waitress was doing her level best in all ways but where is the management on this one folks. We’re talking 7am and this lovely lady is left to her own devices. Not so much as a bus boy or a cook jumping in to assist her. Have they no shame, or is this just a new issue or uncommon one as your last reply implied? Did I mention that your waitress was suffering through all of this mismanagement and disregard… Well we just did if you bothered to read me out.

One of the Mose consistently awesome places to dine in Eureka and has been for years. I remember so many places coming through this location as a kid but Adel’s came and stuck because they do it right and they at good at doing it right. Great staff and super friendly kitchen! I love seeing the cooks smiling out and working. Thank you for years of awesomeness!

The food is good but a little overpriced. I like the Mexican omelette, the avocado club, and the steak and eggs. The chefs are really efficient and know their stuff. It’s a running joke in Eureka how they only hire young, thin, blonde waitresses. The waitstaff looks like a Scandinavian soccer team. If you’re «weird-looking,» expect to get seated on the lower level. The clientele skews much older than most restaurants and I guess they don’t want to make Grandma look at someone with(gasp) a mohawk.

This place is close to several motels and is right on Hwy 101, so that was a definite plus for us traveling down the 101. Service was a bit slow at times, however, the food was good. I had the biscuits and gravy, and while the biscuits and gravy themselves were good, the hash browns were nothing to write home about. My mom loved her«taco potato» and it was so big, 2 people could have eaten from it. Prices were a bit high, but this is a tourist area, so that is to be expected.

Came here for dinner. The service was good, although we had to wait for a table even though there were so many empty ones. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Although service was a bit slow, she was really attentive still. The food was pretty good. I got a skillet and it was really filling and good. Although the jalapeños were weird. The hash browns are really good! My mom and dad got omelets and enjoyed them. The only downside was it was lacking flavor. Everything needed a bit of salt.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out on a Saturday evening. We walked in and was greeted by their friendly staff. It was pretty quiet for a restaurant that evening, but it was nice. For appetizer, we ordered the«giant nachos»(w/chicken) and boy, it was amazing! We also ordered the grilled avocado club sandwich and that was pretty tasty as well. The size portion of our meal was big and the service there makes this place even better. Would definitely recommend this place.

If you have kids… they are super accommodating!!! So the food isn’t bad, atmosphere is super chill, and the strawberry lemonade is L-E-G-I-T! On their eggs Benedict though it’s shaved ham like deli meat. That bugs me… in my opinion it should be a thick slice of ham… don’t deny me the pork my friends!!! :) All in all though… great service, chill diner, kids were happy, food was good.

Busy on a Sunday at noon~ But, understandable as a place that promotes«Breakfast All Day!». We opted to sit at the counter instead of waiting 15 min. Ordered the Tumbleweed bbq chicken salad(has sprigs of onion rings on top), a fair amount of diced bbq chicken, tomatoes. Great presentation & a large amount of greens. G ordered the SF Joe’s Scramble & was really impressed! Served in a skillet with a notable portion of ground beef & spinach. The service was impeccable. Sitting at the counter can sometimes be distracting(as all the activity from the servers & kitchen are in full view). But, not for us. Not here. I guess because it is obviously a very clean, well-run operation.

Our 2015 road trip lasted 14+ days, was 5,538 miles long, and went through 15 different states, and we spent the night at 14 distinct locations in 13 cities. But like all good things, this adventure had to reach its conclusion, and after our last night in Brookings, Oregon, we were ready to come home. After a night of almost no sleep, we crossed the border back into California just after 6AM. Traffic this Friday morning was light, so we cruised through Crescent City and enjoyed the run down the Del Norte Coast, even though we couldn’t get too many good ocean views, what with the fog and all. And then we reached Eureka just after 8, and voila! There was traffic. After a day where we ran into everybody and their brother coming down the Oregon Coast, we were eagerly anticipating a day of freeways or effective freeways. With the town of Willits now receiving a wraparound of US101, the only cities north of San Francisco that will still have traffic lights will be Crescent City and Eureka. But as we looked along the Redwood Highway for a spot to have breakfast, nothing was grabbing our eye. We were worried that we might have to stop at the Bayshore Mall, especially considering that it probably wasn’t open at this hour, when we saw Adel’s pop up on our right. «Let’s stop here» I said to the wife. She didn’t argue. After two weeks of having breakfasts included with our hotel rooms, it was nice to actually have a simple café, with a waitress to serve us as you’d expect. It’s an actual restaurant. As I’m not an egg person, I ordered a short stack of flapjacks and coffee, whereas she ordered some sort of omelet. Waitress was nice and expedient, food filled me up for the balance of the ride, and the coffee gave me enough energy to move forward. While there’s nothing about this café that you haven’t ever seen before, the restaurant takes full advantage of its location to give the traveler a good, relaxing meal.

What you would expect from an American diner for breakfast. Stopped in here on the last leg of my road trip for a fresh breakfast. Prices are very reasonable and portions were great. Husband got two large flapjacks while I indulged in eggs with biscuits and gravy. Waitress was very attentive and our order came promptly and exactly as we ask. This place reminds me of Carrows or Black Bear Diner. It’s not fancy but you get great food and warm service.

We were 2 adults and 2 children and had the best dinner here during our three weeks stay in USA. I had the codfish special with fresh vegetables perfectly cooked and in addition wie could chose between salad or soup — my husband had the steak with shrimps also tasted fine. Also our girls were satisfied and the waitress was very attentive and friendly.

Food was okay, ordered the fajitas and a turkey sandwich. When the food came the sandwich was wrong it was a blt, waitress blamed cook and vice versa. Very unprofessional especially when we were sitting right st the bar top. The service was not genuine. Looks like this place only hires young gals for looks to flirt with older men.

We stopped at Adel’s on our drive through town on a recent Saturday. We had the kids(8 and 5) in tow, and figured this would be a greasy dive offering the kinds of food that kids would enjoy. The food was fine, as expected. They serve breakfast at lunchtime, and the food was exactly what you would expect for breakfast comfort food. I would have given 4 stars, except the service was pretty terrible. We ordered beverages(I had a soda, and my wife had coffee), and did not get 1 refill. Other than taking our order and delivering our food, we were not checked on once. This was after the lunch rush(maybe 1:30PM), so they weren’t that terribly busy. As we were not-quite-wrapped up with our lunch, instead of coming over and offering a refill, our server dropped our bill off and started picking up our plates(which we were still kind of eating a few bits off of).

We arrived in Eureka on Thanksgiving eve and quickly realized how hard it was to find an open restaurant. Everywhere we called was closed. We had a large party of 7 so we definitely had to find a restaurant and not fast food. Thankfully, Adel’s was right beside our hotel and still open! We went in and saw they were advertising a «Thanksgiving special» with turkey, so we ordered 3 of those. We also ordered rare rib eye steak, a cheeseburger, 2 haystack burgers. The portions were huge! The turkey was tender, moist, and flavorful. It came with mixed veggies, stuffing, and rolls, which were delicious. We ordered the rib eye steak rare, it was tender and juicy, and it included a side of french fries. Cheeseburger was for the kid, who loved it. My friend and I had the haystack burger. One word: delicious. It had and thick patty, bacon, avocado, lettuce, onion rings, I’m sure I’m forgetting something else. It was so good. Came with a side of fries too. After our meal, we ordered ice cream. A great end to and great meal. Aside from the great food, our server was extremely friendly and accomodating. She seated and took orders from our large party, and was patient with our indecision. A bit of water was spilled on the table, she came and cleaned the water away and replaced our napkins and utensils that were wet. We were sure to leave a generous tip because it’s rare to get such good service at the restaurants we usually eat at. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a place to eat to check Adel’s out, you won’t regret it. I’ll definitely keep this place bookmarked for my next visit.
