Amazing Kale Burger lives up to the hype! If you like kimchi, the Kay burger with kale kimchi and lime tahini sauce is unmissable. Everything I ordered was full-flavored and delicious. The hibiscus and mint tea was a special mercy in this hot weather. I’m taking one star off as my husband found his Ben burger slightly dry. He got his burger on a bun while I ate my kale patty knife-and-fork style so that may have affected his experience. Nevertheless, we will be returning soon. The food is terrific and the staff is so sweet.

Fun, friendly and delicious! I had the burger with date/beet bbq sauce and grilled onions. Tastes incredible and it’s all vegan. The sides were just as good: roasted sweet potatoes with fresh dill and Cole slaw. Also awesome was the super friendly owner, groovy fun ambiance and sweet tunes on vinyl. Definitely going back!

The Vaden is the Bomb! The Cindy is so addictive! I need to go to rehab. Monday and Tuesday I hit withdrawal Wednesday through Friday my addiction is back on again. I love the staff. They’re hilariously funny… laid back and chilled. Every time I’m here it’s like I’m in 80’s again. #ThrowbackVibe

Everything about this place is charming and delicious. I always seek out cozy places… and I found myself another one. The kale burgers are fantastic… I had sauerkraut & beetsup with roasted cauliflower. Just the best lunch I’ve had in a while until dessert came. cinnamon bun was out of this world, never eaten a better one. Not too sweet, a wonderful crispness to the edges,

I can’t begin to say enough about this place. The owner is always there cooking and he is one of the friendliest people… as are all the servers I have ever had the handful of times I have been there. They always have some fun music playing on their old-school vinyl record player… I just smile when I walk into this place. It also doesn’t hurt that they have some really fantastic food as well. The last time I was there I had the combo brunch platter. Each of the 4 options on my plate was more delicious than the last. I only wish this place were in Edgewater so I could walk there every day!

The Amazing Kale Burger is just that — Amazing! Yum, yum! My husband and I love this place. All of their meals have at the center the most delicious Kale Burger. Always cooked to perfection, it arrives at your table hot and crunchy. They serve it with several different options, we love the Ben and being Gluten Free we have it with the lettuce wrap. At most restaurants I’m not thrilled with the lettuce wrap option because the lettuce usually can’t stand up to the filling, but not here, the lettuce is a big leaf that you can easily folder over the burger and doesn’t fall apart. Something new that they recently added is an delicious raw cheesecake made with little to no sugar, love that too. The restaurant is eclectic and fun, wait staff always super friendly. They have a small collection of vinyl that they spin. If I lived closer, I’d be a fixture at this friendly, Vegan restaurant with Gluten Free Options.

This place is worth every penny you will spend on their delicious food and stellar customer service! Had their Kale Burger at a farmer’s market last summer, and fell in love. Decided to check out the establishment and it was still just as great. Had the Tracey with a side of green beans: so flavorful and genuinely healthy! Your meal is made to order so call ahead of you’re picking up, or just sit inside and enjoy the moment. You will not be disappointed. Although it is FAR away from where I live, it’s worth the travel… come here and embrace the vegan/vegetarian life!!!

Best vegan burger ever tasted! By best I mean healthy, flavorful & nutritious. Can’t wait to purchase these at wholesale for a summer bbq, vegan-style ;D. Many thanks to Brandon and Allison for the warm hospitality, personable service, and ammaaaazing options for the vegan palate. Highly recommended, even for meat eaters or any who want to reduce environmental impacts while still enjoying a JUICYBURGER.

Kale burgers are so delicious! I got the one with beet-b-q on top which was delicious! I picked up my food but would definitely sit for a bite next time. The place has a great vibe and there was a stand up comic on stage. Side portions were on the small side – would skip those next time.

Awesome! If you are vegan or vegetarian or open minded, you will love this place. You order your Kale burger with an array of toppings(named after various people) and the. Choose a side of you want. We ordered the Tracey(not on the menu) which is the kale burger with garlic, mushrooms, herb seed cheese, and chipotle mayo all on a homemade bun. It was DELICIOUS. So much love goes into this food. You should definitely eat here. We finished the night with chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Sooooooo good. So good. Come eat here. Seriously. The place is a little small, but I think that adds to the charm so if you have a group larger than 6, you may run out of space.

I was picking up a UPS package on my way home from work and happened to look over at this restaurant a couple of blocks away from the drop-off destination. All I saw was«vegan» and went in. I had no idea what they served, but I’m always game to try new vegan dishes. Although there were only a couple of people in there, it had that warm friendly«Cheers» vibe as soon as I stepped in the door. However, my initial reaction to the menu was, «I like kale and I like burgers, but I’m not sure if I can enjoy a kale burger.» But the cook/cashier was so friendly, upbeat and would throw out the occasional joke. I liked him immediately. There was no way I was going to walk out of there although I wasn’t particularly interested in eating a kale burger. So I ordered. And guess what? I loved the burger. It’s healthy. It’s filling. The Jimmy(fresh avocado and lime sauce) was a nice topping to add onto the bun. The garlic herb potatoes were cool but nothing to brag about. But I’ll brag for the rest of 2016 about that vegan chocolate cake. My gawd. He made me regret throwing out my own coconut oil. I could go back there for the cake alone, and I am not really a dessert person. I’d take a box of Nerds or Sour Patch Kids over any dessert every day of the week. Not this time around. If it wasn’t so cold, I’d go back for another slice. Kudos for a job well done. I’ll return to see what’s up with the weekend menu for sure.

I am obsessed with brunch at the Amazing Kale Burger and go for it as often as I can. The menu is small but I love their vegan biscuits topped with seasonal veggies, Tofu Scramble and kale burger then drizzled in delicious vegan sauces. The lunch Burgers are good with creative toppings, but I far prefer the brunch menu! They also have the friendliest staff of any of the places I frequent. They are always experimenting in the kitchen and often will have something new to sample. I also love their rotating selection of seasonal Veggie side dishes and highly recommend saving room for one of their always changing homemade vegan cakes!

I had such a great time visiting this tiny shop! We got the specials that were being offered for the day — Socca(Chickpea flour bread) with pumpkin hummus — Kale burger with wild mushrooms We loved every bite of our meal and our server was nice enough to refill our plate with Socca bread when she saw we had a lot of hummus left! :) I really enjoyed Kale burger and I was just amazed that they could make everything taste so good while making sure — it’s vegan. Their prices were super reasonable as well, so I would definitely come back soon.

It’s always a pleasure to eat where the employees are really passionate about what they do, and that epitomizes The Amazing Kale Burger. From the moment I walked in I felt right at home, and my server’s enthusiasm for the food was very clear. I tried the Vaden, which is served with a beet-based BBQ sauce. The kale burger patty is quite delicious, with all the ingredient in balance, and a nice crust from cooking. The accompanying lettuce and tomato were quite fresh, and the BBQ sauce was delicious. The bun was a bit small, sturdy and dry for my taste, but I can see where others might like it. For a side dish I had pickled asparagus, which was tossed with yellow peppers and extremely fresh oregano bits. It was delicious. House made mint tea was pleasantly unsweetened. The kale burger was one of the better vegetarian patties I’ve had, and I’d often choose it over a meat patty if it were available elsewhere. Coincidentally, I ate here on national burger day!

Two words — Roasted Cauliflower Party food for vegans, and like Calin D says, if you’re not vegan, «no problem!» Delightful, small, and spirited. If you’re looking for something out of the norm, this is your stop. It’s one of the latest additions to Howard Street, and from the minute I stopped in to the time I left, I felt like I was a part of this secret underground kale burger movement. Step into a small clean space with 3 tables and 5 bar seats. In total this place sits about 15 guests. It’s full service, and Allison will take great care of you. Of course, so will the chef. Here they deal with weird eaters. My hubby and I are food challenged between allergies, headaches, and stomach aches. We are the no fermented, no soy, little to no garlic couple. The good thing is all you have to do is tell them what your allergies and eating quirks are, and on the spot the chef will make sure you’re well cared for. No garlic? No problem — «I’ll throw in some thyme.» The menu consists of three different kale burgers which you can get on lettuce or a bun, and some fabulous sides. I only wanted to taste my hubby’s kale burger — which I did, and I made sure to order a side of roasted cauliflower, potatoes, and coleslaw. Everything was amazing. I can still taste the cauliflower as I’m writing this. So simple and yet so delicious. The burger had a crispy crunch to it, and though I’m not used to eating veggie burgers, if I had to go this route, I’d be back here time and time again. Note: My vegetarian hubby ordered the Jimmy burger with salsa and avocado, and I’ve honestly not seen him eat like he did today. He had food all over his face, he really got down to business. Fantastic front of house Allison and her friend Brandon, owner and chef treat everyone like you’ve just walked into their home. They play records here and remember their customer’s names.

Not Vegan? No problem! You’ll still like it! Besides, why not try something new? I’m not a Vegan, and even I loved the burger, and I have a true dislike for Kale. This great little spot fills a big gap in the Organic, Health Minded, Vegan and Veggie options that are difficult to find. I found out this location is open now, before it’s official, and I do believe they’re going to do very, very well. The burger didn’t fall apart. It wasn’t too soft, and the bun was perfect for it. The regular accompaniments were good, though it does come with custom sauce, rather than mustard or ketchup, which was an excellent surprise. I tried every side. The cubed potatoes were baked and well cooked — think baked hash browns. The zucchini rolls reminded me of veggie maki, and the cole slaw was the real deal. The tangy beet sauce is pretty heavy, though great on the side for the burger and reminded me of a ketchup bbq without the added sugar to ruin it. The Mexican Coke was a good addition, and really the only thing missing was a big dill pickle spear to add a crispy zing, though I’m sure that is easy enough to solve. Way to go! It really is amazing that Kale makes such a good burger. I’ll be back! And I hope to see all my Vegan and not so Veggie friends when I do. Nom!
