The staff are friendly here and they were able to make a pie and calzone in about 15 min. We ran to Trader Joe’s and by the time we returned they had our order ready for us. Both items only need about 10 and 15 min, respectively to bake and were ready to eat after standing for a few minutes. The quality of the food was decent. We ordered the salad with apple, walnuts, and goat cheese; it would have been better if not for the iceberg lettuce. The pizza itself was quite tasty… well the bites that had prosciutto in it, since it was a white pie it needed that saltiness, unfortunately they skimped on the meat. The veggie calzone tasted good as well but was lacking veggies and was a little heavy on the cheese. Overall, it’s a nice alternative to chain pizza stores but to really differentiate I think they should focus more on higher quality ingredients, specifically more of.

Is mediocre raw pizza worth that much? I say nay nay.

What a great experience! We attended a party that had a HomeMade Pizza Co kit and for the first time, my 3 year old son not only ate pizza but ate up the entire thing! I have also coordinated a fundraiser with this location and they have been super helpful and great/easy to work with. Overall, they have great weekly specials including ‘dinner for two for $ 20′ which includes a pizza, salad and dessert. They also have weekday specials for their salads which are healthy, fresh and best of all, yummy. Sign up for an online account and accrue points towards a free pizza with them!

I miss this place. The best crust I have ever had, and great gourmet toppings. My only complaint is that it is rather pricey.

I have been here several times and I have never had a bad pizza. If you’re looking for a traditional pizza, you won’t find that here. I like the fresh ingredients and the multiple vegetarian choices. The crust is delicious, but again, it is different from traditional pizza. i thought I would be bothered by the ‘cook it at home’ thing, but they cook in about 10 minutes and they taste great.

I ordered a whole wheat pizza and when I came home I realized that it was plain white pizza. Bummer. Their pizzas are delicious and they are not for storing in the freezer. You should bake and eat immediately.

This chain location serves up some solid ready-to-bake pizzas. I usually pick up a seasonal large pizza and it comes up to about $ 15 with their usual $ 3 off coupon. To be honest, I would say this place is overpriced without the coupon. Some of my favorite premade pizzas include the Spinach and the Georgia. They also have a pretty nice rewards program(1 free pizza/salad for every 10 purchased).

Wow this is awesome. Apprently other places do this, but Homemade Pizza Co is the first I’ve ever experienced. Have you ever had cold pizza delivered? Made a pizza in the oven but too lazy to heat it back up? Why not combine the best of both as opposed to the worst, well, that’s what HMPC is for. They make you a Pizza however you want it(with oodles of options for cool ingredients), and they will lay down the dough, add the sauce, and bam! Ready to cook! Go pick up your pizza, take it home, and pop it in the oven. We are talking freshest of fresh pizzas right there. This is like ordering from a bakery and having them say«go home and cook at 425 for 15minutes and eat». That’s quite exactly like what it is. They even put it on the cookie sheet for you(or whatever that paper’s called), give you instructions, and it comes in a carrying bag that may as well say«I’m lookin smug while walking with a pizza in a freakin bag». I probably did look that way when I first got it. the price is about the same as normal, pizzas are a little smaller than the monstrous stuff, but pizzas are freakin fresh. I mean these people are good at what they do — not unlike the«coffee artists» at starbucks. I would suggest getting extra sauce though, because when we ordered ours(wild mushrooms, parmesan, garlic) — it seemed a bit light on sauce. They also thankfully have loyalty stuff — buy a bunch and get one free, etc. Also after your first purchase they send you a promo for $ 5 off, and plenty other likewise offers can be found online(or message me and I can forward you one). End result? One of their premade 16″ pizzas is about $ 12. That’s a hell of a price for equivalent of «restaurant pizza»(but without being greasy). Overall, I like it. I am sold, impressed, and I am already getting my 2nd pizza today, and going to get a cookie or one of their other cool things. Not only are the employees polite but there’s zero wait time — you tell them when you want to pick it up, and they’ll have it ready. There are two words I have for homemade pizza co: Fuck Yes.

SCENARIO: It is 7:22pm on a Friday night in southern Evanston. You have a very specific craving for a brownie or a chocolate-chip cookie – a WARM brownie or chocolate-chip cookie. You know that if worse comes to worst, you can heat up your cookie at home, but where to get one to begin with? You know that Sweet Occasions is closed. You don’t want to have to resort to Panera’s picked-over selection and corporate shipped-and-frozen quality. You figure that most of the local coffee shops will have a poor selection of outsourced, perhaps less-than-fresh items. You poke your head into Blind Faith and find a cappuccino brownie, but, alas, it’s vegan. Bleah. OUTCOME: You suddenly remember that Homemade Pizza Company sells cookies to bake at home. You dash in, scan the menu board, and nod in triumph. You purchase a chocolate-chip cookie for $ 4.95, take it home, heat up the oven, and slide it in. After a twelve-minute wait to bake, and an eight-minute wait to cool, it’s time to cut. The little diagram on the label shows the cookie divided into eight wedges like a pizza. You laugh and cut that sucker once, straight across the diameter. You pour yourself a glass of milk and settle back onto the couch. You take a bite and receive the glorious contentment that can only come when satisfying a very strong, very specific craving. You smile and continue to chew, thinking how much better a cookie is when it’s warm.

Love this place. All natural ingredients and extremely fresh every day. Pizzas are super and I love the concept of baking the pizza in my own oven. Staff was friendly and service was great. Will be returning many times.

i too was skeptical — i’m a firm believer that pizza is made best outside of the home, but this stuff is delicious. the 4 cheese was amazing, and the mesian… i will dream about it. i signed up online, ordered and the people at the counter were super nice. just got a thank you email and a $ 5 coupon, which you are encouraged to share with friends. stay classy homemade pizza. will definitely become part of the dinner rotation — especially when out of town guests come to visit.

This is the only place that truly makes me feel like an idiot when the first thing out of my mouth is «I’d like to place an order for pickup.» I actually like the fact that after I pickup a raw pizza I can take my time and not worry about getting home a piping hot pizza. They have very fresh ingredients and it’s a nice alternative to the standard pizza take out

I really wanted to hate this place as I am still indifferent on the concept. You mean I have to pick up the pizza, bake it at home and then still pay a price that is similar to a higher-end sit down pizza place? Hrm… I was pleasantly surprised! The pizza was excellent and I can understand the appeal. Very fresh and unique ingredients separate this place from others. However, I’m still not keen on the price. My large pizza, even with a coupon came out to around $ 25. That’s pretty expensive for a bake at home pizza. Given there are so many pizza options in the area, not sure where this fits. I’d surely give this place a Whirl again, but I’d need to be enticed with a nice deal.

I was inspired to try HomeMade Pizza Company after receiving a thank-you coupon for following them on Twitter(@homemadepizzaco, if you’re so inclined). Somehow, I managed to successfully bake the pizza per their detailed instructions, and I was honestly shocked by how delicious it looked — and tasted — when it was done. This ain’t no DiGiornio, I’m telling you. I don’t even have a pizza stone, but it came out all crispy and brown with bubbly cheese. Perfection. I even opted for the whole wheat crust, and it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Certainly way better than anything I could attempt myself.

Being the pizza snob that I am, this place is somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. We once had this back in college and someone severely burned it and so going in this time, I was not all that stoked. When cooked correctly, the pizza isn’t too bad. The problem is that if you are going to charge Lou Malnatis prices and have a product that does not measure up, then you gotta make sure there isn’t a Lous within a mile of your location. It is just a bad business model especially combined with the whole cook your own food thing.

I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when ordering from here. My husband is wild about pizza but I ate too much of it in school so it has to be REALLY good for me to like it. We had a $ 5 off coupon, though, so we decided to take the plunge. The menu is impressive. A lot of very yummy and high quality ingredients are listed for you to make your own pie, or there is a menu of pre-selected combinations. I also really like the options for different sauces because tomato doesn’t always taste good with certain toppings, and the whole wheat crust is awesome. We got a large wild mushroom on whole wheat crust. It was SMOTHERED in delicious mushroom goodness. And thyme; love that with mushrooms. While it was baking, the aroma was incredible. Way better than what the house would have smelled like if we brought home an already baked pie. And I loved how the cheese bubbled and crisped up along the crust. Speaking of the cheese — it was melty and awesome for making cheese strings while we ate! We got 8 very good-sized slices out of the pie, and it made for dinner for the both of us, and lunch for one of us(me!) the next day. The best part? Hubby gave them his e-mail address, and they e-mailed us another $ 5 off coupon! Yay! And they have a frequent buyer card, which is good, because I think we’ll be going a lot.

GREAT pizza. Sure, you have to cook it at home, but then you get your pizza hot and right from the oven. Lots of choices for toppings, and be sure to try the whole wheat crust which is light and delicious. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it when you want something good and fresh. The staff is extremely helpful and sweet, and the place is ultra clean.

I lust after pizza – the cheesy greasy goodness that is dough, sauce, cheese and toppings(preferably pepperoni and green olives) – I could eat it every night of the week, though I know I shouldn’t. Thin, regular, stuffed crust, from Domino’s to Gino’s East to Spacca Napoli, I eat them all. But now, I think I’ve finally found my love. With Homemade Pizza company and at-home baking. I can choose from the menu or make my own. Regular crust or wheat crust. Small salad or big salad. Bake at home cookies or ice cream. Or both. The pizza bakes in less than 15 minutes and you have a slightly chewy, slightly crunchy delicious crust and enough cheese to make even this Dairy stater happy. Salads are fresh-looking and tasting – try the spinach with raspberry vinaigrette. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty darn good – and the scent of it baking was mouth-watering. Small pizzas(1 – 2 people) are around $ 14 – 16, large pizzas(2 – 3 people) are $ 17 – 19. Salads are $ 4 – 7, depending on size. Cookies are $ 5. Homemade Pizza Co. was no more expensive than what we usually order from the fast food places, and a lot less expensive than some place like Giordano’s. Staff at this location was very friendly. In case its not already clear, this place is take out only. Make sure you get a frequent buyer card: buy 10 pizzas get 1 free! **10−09−08** I just need to add an extra kudos for this location. A couple weeks ago, they gave me the wrong pizza, which I didn’t realize until I’d made it back to Rogers Park. I called up, they apologized, and offered to have the pizza I orginally ordered ready for me when I came back. Which was after they closed(8PM). Not only did they stay open later for me, they also let me keep the«mistake» pizza. I ate nothing but pizza that weekend and it was awesome.

Yummy! When you’re in the mood for pizza, but don’t feel like eating all the grease and grossness that comes with the standard pizza, HomeMade Pizza is exactly what you need. Try the wheat crust and it seems even that much healthier! Perfect for all of the new years resolutions out there! In addition to the usual tomato sauce, they also offer just an olive oil basting of the crust, or a pesto sauce. I mention this specifically because I know there’s at least one Unilocaler out there who is allergic to tomatoes.

When I was growing up, there was a place similar to this one called«Moms, You Bake.» We usually got cheese, pepperoni, or something just as simple. HomeMade Pizza Company blows those pizzas out of the water, even when seen though the nostalgia of my childhood pizza-loving years. The employees were patient, understanding, and helpful. So many options! I ended up getting a medium Spinach Pie on regular white crust, which baked into the perfect thickness – not overwhelmingly doughy, yet not too crispy cracker thin. So very easy to cook, serve and enjoy. It made two tasty meals. I joined the CLUB(buy a bunch of pizzas and get one free), so I’ll definitely be back!
