This was our «place» and I am VERY sad to learn of it’s closing. Come back! We loved Chris and the trivia in the wine bar downstairs. Boo.

Great atmosphere, right in downtown Exeter on the water. Walking downstairs to the bar makes you feel like you’re in an old English town crawling into a pub. The bartender is exceptional and the wait staff is very professional.
I understand this restaurant has had a couple of moving pieces in the kitchen with the Chef role, and it shows. The food has been inconsistent at best. The menu reads very well, the ideas are there, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. With entrées costing a pretty penny, I expect more refinement in some dishes, and simply better consistency on others.
This place could and should be a 4 or 5 star place, maybe they’ll get there, but for now it’s a solid 3. On any given night you might have an amazing meal, or an okay one… but your drinks will be great and you’ll have a good time.
