We started coming here as soon as it opened. Had great experiences for months… we went here at least 1 – 2 times a week every month since opening, approximately 50 times with no issues. The past 6 – 7 times however have been terrible. Tonight we Waited for 45 minutes after we were told it would be a 5 minute wait for a table for 4. 2 kids in high chairs and 2 adults. After personally asking the manager TWICE to get the high chairs, even though we asked for them upfront, I went in the back and got them. We finally got situated and our waitress arrived, she was very pleasant actually, which we were accustomed to for the previous months. Unfortunately after we placed our order, 35 minutes later we were still waiting for a small plain pizza and one small pepperoni. When I asked our waitress what was going on she said that she would find out and come right back. The manager returned and said that«your ticket was lost, we will have your food to you in 15 – 20 minutes!!» I told him the situation and said I won’t be coming back again. I am very disappointed in how fast this place has gone downhill. We won’t go back unfortunately. Loved it at the start, the change over in managers however has ruined the place. It will close soon if the current management is allowed to stay.

I have a simple phrase for you to remember. «Wednesday Night Happy hour». These guys have spoiled me for other happy hours. Great Tini’s(sky vodka only for $ 6), craft beer, wine available at HH $. But the kicker is the free appetizers. They bring round, wings, meatballs, pizza and a variety of knosh’s to all the patrons at the bar between 5:30 and 7pm. Everything is delish — particularly the meatballs. Pizza is pretty good too… and outside dining and bar access in warm weather. Makes hump day fun again.

Who’s not a sucker for PIE! I love pie, thin, deep dish, Sicilian, Neapolitan. And of course charred!! The chicken wings with caramelize onion and wedges of bread are the perfect trigger of the back yard BBQ memories, big and meaty and with enough burnt so it’s not offensive. The small salad of romaine hearts, olives, chick peas, tomato and egg was cold and crisp and lightly dressed with a red wine vinaigrette was perfect. I could have finished there, but I LOVEPIE! Prosciutto, mushroom pie… Charred bits of crust topped with my fixings and the $ 22 large was delicious, and Joey has a couple slices to take to school tomorrow(Bishop Shanahan). I don’t get there often but when I do it always good!

I’ve been there with my boyfriend a lot. It’s good for grabbing a slice for the go. Sometimes we would go to the dine in place of the restaurant, but other times we would just grab a slice or two of pizza and chat for a while. He likes the pizza there. It’s pretty good. Give it a try if you are in Exton.

Expensive pizza and strange selection. Not somewhere I would ever choose again. Service was pretty good and quick. Just not something I enjoy at all.

Great pizza and wings. Wednesday night is martini and meatballs, great night for happy hour. They have a great beer selection and wines.

My favorite pizza anywhere in the area and the service here is awesome. Really great experiences and we’ve ordered take out/ate in many many times. One time i was hosting a dinner and was going to make several pizzas at home but wanted to buy the dough balls from Anthony’s and the manager gave them to us for free and said to have a fun night. A real community place.

Absurdly good for a chain. The roasted cauliflower pizza currently sits atop my «favorite foods in the world» list. We order takeout from here weekly and they almost never make me feel weird about it. I would love a slightly more expansive salad menu, but other than that, no complaints whatsoever. The beer is cheap. Even my picky kids like this pizza. Just go already.

Their roasted cauliflower pizza is by far the best!!! They have a wonderful selection of beer on tap. Tonight they have yuengling for $ 3… Awesome deal! Service is always friendly. Tip: evenings and weekends tend to get really crowded. if you get there early, you have a better chance of getting seated right away.

5 Stars for the best pizza around. Their motto is «Well Done». It borders on burnt. I have only had the sausage so far and it is outstanding both times. It’s crisp, but not too thin. We ate in and the leftovers heated up just as well as the first time around. We tried the Meatballs as an appetizer. The two were served in a puddle of sauce, with a dollop of ricotta, Not bad, my companion liked them, just not for me. Service is fair. The pizza comes out real fast even if they are crowded. So as much as I hate to say it, a chain restaurant serves my favorite pizza.

I love it here. Me and my girlfriend used to go here after work to catch up all the time as it was a good half-way point for us to meet. We always split a pizza and got a couple beers. Everything is always really good, from the service to the food to the ambiance. The arugula pizza is my all time favorite. I don’t know what that dressing is that they put on the arugula but it is seriously to die for. The cauliflower pizza is also good. honestly I think I’ve had them all and each one is just as good or better than the last.

I’m shocked to say this but it was really good. Not ok good but really good. Had the house salad. Cold crisp. Oil and vinegar dressing. The pizza a large with fried hots pepperoni and sausage. I was so happy. This is a chain but eats like the real deal. A true revaluation in this pizza dessert.

Wish I could give a review, but after waiting for 5 mins to get my name on a list for seating, without so much as an acknowledgement from waitstaff or management, I decided to take my business next door to the Mexican restaurant. Not aceptable in the hospitality business. Perhaps I’ll give them another try in the future. Then again, maybe not.(and for the record, the only reason I’m given them 1 star is because Unilocal will not allow a post with 0 stars.)

Very disappointing take out experience. Pizza was burned to a crisp. We have ordered here before so I am not talking about the coal fired effect. We ordered the arugula pizza and the crust had no tomato or visible cheese and was so crisp and hard you couldn’t even bite into it. The pepperoni was slightly better but also so crisp it was difficult to eat. I do not recommend for take out. Waste of $.

I always love Anthony’s the meatballs are out of this world. I will get the bucket of masks one of these times. The pizza is a perfect because it is a coal fired oven. The wife and I love to have a date there on Fridays. Very highly recommend.

Pizza is great, staff is helpful and courteous! Sat outside because why wouldn’t anyone want to sit outside! Service was quick and the waitstaff pleasant and accommodating. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and I had never had coal fired pizza before. It was sooo good! I’m not a fan(usually) of a crispy crust, but this was fantastic! We brought our 5 year old twins and they loved it as well, we’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I came here tonight — Sunday at 8pm. After waiting for a table to be wiped down, we were promptly seated by the hostess/waitress who said our server would be right with us. There were 3 other tables occupied in the entire restaurant(see pictures). Despite it being«dead», we waited 15 – 20 mins and still nobody came to acknowledge us. Not even a drink order. There were about 4 waitresses in the back of the restaurant and they appeared to be socializing with each other and maybe doing side jobs. Needless to say, we got up and left. I gave it two stars b/c we were here once in the past and the pizza was decent. That said, there are too many good places around here to tolerate bush league service. In all my years, I’ve never walked out of a restaurant — funny thing is, nobody even noticed(despite me waiving the menus on our walk out) or cared. The slogan is «Pizza Well Done». Maybe they should change it to «Service Rare». Hopefully a manager/owner acknowledges this review and can remedy the issues before they lose more business.

Anthony’s COAL Fired Pizza is the tops. I emphasize the COAL for good reason. I discovered Anthony’s in Wilmington DE, and now visit this location almost weekly. I love the thin, dangerously-close-to-burnt crust. Tons of flavor. Pepperoni is my standard. Super tasty with a little zing. Their sauce is different than a «standard» pizza joint’s. If you like tomatoes, you’ll love their sauce. Love a pepperoni pie with a Peroni(Italian for Budweiser. [not really]). Great staff. Fast and friendly. Cool atmosphere. Lots of TVs.

Recently, because I’ve been obsessed by making my own bread/pizza/naan, I had the star kissed idea of building my own brick oven in my backyard. How hard could it be? I’d walk in Home Depot, buy the necessary elements, assemble it on a lazy spring weekend and be eating Difara quality pizza on Sunday night. A quick YouTube search on the subject quickly doused my lofty dreams. Turns out you’ll need about $ 5000 and a masonry apprenticeship just to lay the groundwork. I guess it’s just a grill and a pizza stone for this guy from now on. This, however, doesn’t mean I can’t get the crispy goodness from a brick oven. As a 94WIP listener, I can almost recite Anthony Gargano’s Anthony’s «Well Done» Ads. If south philly’s «The Cuz» recommends a pizza I take notice. We decided to come to the Exton location because it worked for me and my sister in Downingtown. The place was smaller than I imagined but we got a table for 7 within a ½ hour. I was very impressed by their beer choices. I was more than pleased with my Lancaster Milk Stout. The menu is very brief. I like that they are focusing on pizza and not trying to appease every possible food combination like many chains do. There’s pizza, wings, and a few salads or sandwiches. We came for the pizza and wings. The wing situation is odd, but I’m definitely not complaining. They put lightly seasoned wings in their oven and serve them without sauce(not the odd part) but with a mound of sautéed onions and flatbread(odd, but deliciously genius). Everyone loved them, specifically my hard to please brother-in-law. The pizza was as good as advertised. We ordered 3 large; a white pizza for the kids, a regular pizza with sweet peppers and onions, and one of their signature pies with hot peppers, meatball, sausage and ricotta. Good lord they were fantastic. I looked over at my son, who is also notoriously picky and he was digging into his 3rd slice. The service was quick, friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was perfect pizza place casual. Bonus points for the all time perfect photograph above the urinal(pictured). The only thing that keeps Anthony’s from a 5star rating is the price. $ 130 for an order of wings, 3 large pies, 4 beers and a few sodas. I can’t say the quality wasn’t worth it and we had plenty to eat and some to take home but for someone like me, the price will keep me away unless it a special occasion. Regardless, I do recommend Anthony’s highly. And for all my complaining about the price, it’s still cheaper than building a backyard brick oven.
