I have had chicken salad from close to a hundred different places, and this was the worst chicken salad sandwich to date. Was almost tasteless, but I did notice a weird spice flavor — I normally like spices, interesting tastes, etc. but this almost tasted like if an old Tupperware had a taste. I forced it down because I had no other option for food at that moment. The sourdough bread tasted like puffed up cardboard. Very disappointed.

I visit multiple Corner Bakeries(Crystal City, Tysons, Sterling and Fair Oaks)… on a regular basis. The best one is Crystal City — the worst is Fair Oaks. Almost 9 x out of 10 when I order a meal and a desert to go, the Fair Oaks place leaves out the desert. I live about 4 – 5 miles away, so discovering this when I get there is not easy to just go back — sometimes in bad weather. In the times I have caught it before I leave, the staff seems barely apologetic. This last time, I think a manager was the one that made the mistake and did not seem at all concerned that I told him this happens a lot from this Fair Oaks location. At almost $ 3 for a desert, it is not a cheap item to leave out. On top of that their self-serve soft drink dispenser was partial out of order, they even had a sign on it, but when I ordered that — they did NOT mention, oh, some items are out. They probably figured I would just take whatever they had left working. Some other customer there, as I was waiting for my order, stated a similar thing was going on with the decaf coffee — none were available(placed out).

All the yes. I was driving home in the cold rain and thought, «an extra 10 minute drive will be worth it»…and it was, 100%. I arrived around 7:45pm on Friday night, only person in line. ordered the pesto cavatappi but they were out of that pasta so I had it with spaghetti noodles and I honestly think that’s the way to go now! I also got a side salad, total came to just under $ 10 and I had half the pasta for lunch the next day. It was the best rainy, cold comfort food I’ve had since before Chipotle went all gross and spazy. The young lady who served me at the register was very sweet and friendly, a great experience all around.

LOVELOVELOVE the staff here!!! They’re always so friendly and helpful, even the managers take the time to stop by and talk to people. The food is also FANTASTIC!!! I could eat the chicken pomodori and tomato basil soup combo every day.

I’ve always regarded this place for a friendly customer service approach. But today it lacked so many good customer service traits. Wasn’t greeted when approaching the register, and when I asked for a «Santa fe» salad he laughed in my face, as it turns out, they no longer have it on the menu, so he proceed to ask a co-worker what was the most similar, and when I got my salad there as no chicken, and I went up to the counter to ask if it came with protein or not, both the cashier and he manager failed to acknowledge I was standing there for two minutes, until I spoke up, and the manager didn’t even say at word to me, when I stated why wasn’t I asked whether I wanted chicken or not, when on the menu it says SOUTHWESTCHICKEN!!! Lack of customer service! Walk away

The service here leaves much to be desired. Grin the unfriendly order taker to the food that wss never delivered, I can’t recommend anyone who’s hungry stop here to eat. My original receipt shows Ann order for salad and Mac and cheese placed at 12:46, it was never given to me, just left sitting on a counter until I wondered why it wss taking 15 minutes for such a simple order. Upon looking for it, they found it just sitting on the counter. Now, they have me a number, I expected to hear the number called and this never happened. The person who helped me, Ronaldo, seemed to make me feel this wss my fault. I preferred a refund for this lousy experience. He never apologized for not giving me my food in a timely manner. That’s a Shane, I was looking forward to enjoying a nice, if not overpriced, meal. One star for location and décor. If the young lady who took my order had cracked a smile or said have a nice day, or any thing remotely welcoming, it would have been 2.

I really like corner bakery. I like their menu selection and surprisingly they have an excellent breakfast! I ordered eggs and fruit salad and they were delicious.

The fairfax location use to be in the mall and moved into this strip mall location about a few years ago. I had a free birthday treat that I got from their emails(sign up now for goodies) and jetted over there for a cookie and treated myself to a coffee. The line was long but hence it was lunch time. I got a toffee cookie that was on point. A decent size that was soft and gooey. The coffee was meh but I think it was due to the end of the pot. No worries about that and will be back again

Service is great, long line but it was lunchtime so to be expected, I had the«Mama’s Chicken Noodle» in a bread bowl, it is the best bread bowl there is! Sourdough that compliments the chicken noodle flavor, it was awesome, my daughter got the same but in a regular bowl and had some of my bread bowl after I had finished my soup, we also got the Brownie Bites we almost finished the bag at the table, sooo good!

I’ve been to corner bakery one time before and I enjoyed their food, this time I was extremely disappointed. I order the salad and soup combo with a Caesar salad and the tomato basil soup. The soup was fantastic; zero complaints. However, the salad was lacking to say the least. They gave me an entire container of shredded iceberg lettuce, 5 croutons and a little shredded parmesan cheese on top with a SMALL side of Caesar dressing. Not nearly enough dressing to coincide with the excessive amount of lettuce. The service was great, the staff friendly but I was disappointed that instead of soup and salad for dinner all I had was soup, because I just couldn’t force myself to eat all that lettuce.

This was my first time here, this place reminds me of a Panera. I liked the selections, there are alot of healthy choices. I had the southwestern salad but made the mistake of not ordering grilled chicken in it because I didnt realize it was an add on. It seemed naked without the chicken. I also had the spicy tortilla soup. that was very tasty but the lemon chicken orzo that I tried was really good. I wish I had ordered that instead. Next time! My dessert was an adorable mini size chocolate bundt cake. You can never go wrong with chocolate cake.

Bottom Line: To me, more of a deli than bakery, but always a comfy spot to grab lunch or a light dinner. What I like about Corner Bakery Café is fresh food, appropriate portion sizes, a clean and comfortable interior and a great selection of caffeine including coffee, Mighty Leaf iced tea and Coca-Cola fountain products. Corner Bakery has healthy options or if you want something more hearty you can go that route too with paninis, chips, baked goods, etc. I personally like the ½ and ½ combos. You can get ½ a salad and ½ a panini which is a nice balance. This location has indoor seating and some outdoor seating under an awning. The staff was cherry and the restaurant was clean.

Got catering from Corner Bakery for breakfast and I have to say a fan of their catering breakfast. They had a wide selection of pastries, eggs with cheese, bacon, sausage, and croissants. I am already a huge fan of breakfast and there aren’t many ways you can go wrong with breakfast usually in the restaurant but with catering you can mess up a lot. The reason I am 4 staring is because catering is usually not that good with any place you get and the food was actually hot and quite delicious. The bacon was crisp and went fast with our group, the scrabbled eggs and cheese were good too. Like I said their little catering operation is really good and I don’t know about the in store experience but catering went off really well.

Oooooh! I like this place. I know it is a chain, but this was my first time patronizing the franchise. I like the menu. A lot. There is this mix of super healthy to super unhealthy that is just so appealing. Like, here, have a salad for lunch… then follow that up with an enormous cookie! I had the thin breakfast Panini with avocado and spinach and although it was a bit messy, it was delicious. I would order it again, but frankly there are so many other things on the menu that I want to try that it will be awhile. I love having another healthy option around for lunch AND breakfast. We need more of these kinds of places(Panera, Corner Bakery and Zoes are all hits with me), but we need to have them with either drive up service or drive through service. I can barely get away for lunch sometimes, much less have time to stand in line and wait. This place DOES have call ahead service, though and it looks like that would make a big difference.

This place has not only removed itself from the deserted nook of Fair Oaks mall, but they also revamped their menu! I love CB because of their variety of options which satisfies virtually any craving. They have everything from fresh salads, pasta, paninis, breakfast platters, baked goodies, and so much more! You can pair up your dishes and customize them as to how you like it. Perfect for picky eaters! I especially love that they have the nutritional information of each dish readily available. Today I ordered the Spinach Sweet Crisp Salad w/chicken– it was light and healthy, yet was deliciously refreshing and still managed to fill me up. An awesome place for an inexpensive and tasty lunch. PS: To avoid the long line of the lunch rush, you can call ahead and pick up your meal. PPS: They cater!

Corner Bakery Café’s Mac and Three Cheese is exactly what I needed this week. Thanks to G for suggesting we meet here. I liked that it wasn’t overly packed, so we could have a relaxing conversation. I like the variety of their menu, drink options, and baked goods. Their baked goods alone get 4 stars. They are a great gift option. I’m glad that they moved from Fair Oaks Mall to this area. This location is more spacious and the employees are SO much friendlier here. Our cashier was patient with us while we figured out what we wanted, the gentleman who brought our food over was incredibly polite, the lady who took our plates away was super sweet and friendly. Bacon Mac and Cheese + Pumpkin Bunt + Monster Cookie + Good Company + Friendly Employees = 4 stars! Note: Their Hibiscus Lemonade is on point!

It’s a bright start for the new Corner Bakery in Fairfax. CB’s move was both sad and happy to me – sad to not have it as an option in the mall anymore, but happy to have easier access and better parking at their new location on Route 50. The Good: * Atmosphere is fresh and new. Lots of seating and a display case for baked goods make this place look great. * An expanded breakfast menu — they offer more than what’s shown online. I had the baked French toast(rich and yummy!), served with three strips of bacon and scrambled eggs. Family members had a pancake plate — four pancakes, eggs, bacon; and kids scrambler — eggs, toast and fruit, plus kid’s milk. * The service. A hostess tracked down crayons for us(the basket was empty) and another brought us jelly and more napkins, without us asking. The Not So Good: * The coffee prep area is way too small. Adjacent to the coffee bar is all of the sugars, creamers, etc. — and a really small counter/prep space. Like, just room for one person at a time. This was particularly busy on a Saturday morning. * The bathrooms. Just two stalls in the ladies room, and the changing table is in one of them. So if you are with a kiddo, you’ll likely be waiting. A single sink on a long counter makes a back-up for handwashing too. I love CB and am looking forward to many more meals here!

Visited here for the first time during the lunch rush. The place was busy but they were handling it very well. The location is good and I prefer it over their previous location at Fair Oaks Mall. The menu is large and diverse, which is something I like about coming here. The one issue I have is that the prices are high, but I guess that’s the cost of fresh and tasty food. The staff was nice, but they didn’t go out of their way to make me feel like a valued customer. Not that I need that, but when I worked with the public it was a #1 priority, so I guess I expect it at a higher dollar joint like this. The tables were clean and their was plenty of seating. I’ll be back because the menu is very desirable and I want to give some other items a try. *This business is gun carry friendly.
