This place is great. I ended up here accidentally. Loved their wide range of healthier choices. They have a gluten sensitive menu(although they are not a GF kitchen). Being a vegetarian it was great to see more options for rabbits like myself. I had the caprese sandwich which was pretty good. I appreciate any place that has fresh food. Free ice cream to anyone who wants it.

Super friendly staff: 5 stars Food: 4 stars Great place in the fairlakes shopping center. Sandwiches, salad, soups. Pastrami sandwich is delicious. You can make it to order, pick the bread, the cheese, the toppings. Free garlic bread and cornbread. But the best thing, the free ice cream!

Worst $ 10 lunch in a long time. I ordered the small version of the hot pastrami sandwich with cheese on rye and since they had a Reuben on the menu(a GRILLEDSANDWICH) asked if they could grill it, they(someone who appeared to be the owner or at least a senior manager type — someone who might at least be knowledgeable as to their abilities) said yes. Sandwich comes out unusually fast and clearly isn’t grilled… looks toasted at best. I tell the young lady that it isn’t GRILLED(as in put fat on bread and then put bread onto a hot metal surface). I double check my receipt — it says GRILLED right on it. She answers back that they had run it through their oven. I tell her putting it into an oven isn’t grilling it. I ask her if they can actually grill it. It becomes painfully clear that she doesn’t know anything about food preparation and she disappears to the kitchen. I then watch she and her apparently as equally clueless coworker discuss the quandary in front of them. She comes back and asks if I want it put in the panini press. I ask her«Is that how you make grilled sandwiches?» Blank stare. At this point I’m just starting to get pissed off since I am just hungry so I acquiesce to the only thing that may have a chance of getting me the sandwich I ordered which they said they could deliver. She hands the responsibility of preparing my sandwich to what appeared to be a very large Korean man. A few minutes later my sandwich appears somewhat more toasted but clearly not grilled. Dear Jason’s, how can you offer a Reuben sandwich if you can’t grill it? Do you even know what it means to GRILL a sandwich? They offer cooking classes online or if you watch enough Food Network you will learn how to grill a sandwich. The short answer though is this: spread fat of some kind on the outside of both sides of a sandwich. This can be butter or oil of some kind. Apply the coated side a hot metal surface such as a griddle. You can even cheat a little and put it under a broiler until the fat melts and crisps the bread. if you want me to come in an show you I’ll be happy to.

My mom and I usually really like this place and the food, as we always get the salad bar but this time we didnt really enjoy it at all. I got the plain Jane potato and a cup of French onion soup, my mom got a bowl of the French onion. My moms bowl was very small and she said it tasted like it was out of a can, there was no bread or croutons in the soup either. She didn’t enjoy it. My baked potato was burned to a crisp. It was covered in wayyy too much cheese too. It was pretty blah. My soup tasted like it was out of a can as well and tasted pretty bad. I felt bad that my mom had to pay for this meal and didn’t even enjoy hers! My stomach was in knots and all messed up the rest of the day snd still continues to be, the next day. The baked potato messed it up pretty bad, i didn’t feel good at all. Really disappointed this time, needless to say we will never get the soup and potato again!

First off the original size for these sandwiches are very big in portion. Especially the reuben sandwich. I ordered it and had to split it to finish it. But it was delicious. The meat was excessive in amount but I guess you can always take that out depending on your taste. The Plain Jane was okay in the beginning but as the cheese hardened it became a mess. There is a lot of cheese so make sure you enjoy cheese… A lot. So because Reuben the Great was great we couldn’t consume the Beefeater sandwich.(Decided to take it home for dinner)

If you’re looking for a spot to grab a healthy lunch, you’ve found it. I opted for the ranchero wrap with tortillas and salsa and it did not disappoint. The environment is peaceful, good for bringing a book if you’re by yourself or a quiet family lunch. Will definitely be coming back to explore their sandwich menu.

One of my favorite places for a corporate order. My orders are usually for 10 — 20 people, and this is hands-down the best place in the area for«All day service». They charge one time for Breakfast, Break, and lunch orders, and only have one delivery fee. Plus they offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches(well wraps technically), fruit and coffee, which is a much needed break from the normal carb overload my team normally gets for breakfast. For lunch they offer an assortment of their famous sandwiches, and different salads with sodas/waters. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that their chips come in a large bag(not individual bags per person, which is a bit hard to distribute and some people feel that it is a bit unsanitary) and that once you place an online order it’s very difficult to change anything about the order — including any details, like conference rooms which I add in the delivery notes. In order to make a change you need to call the store directly and speak with a manager or someone who knows how to work the online catering system and request them to «unlock» your order by the order number, then you make the change yourself online. They CANNOT make the change for you. But, great service, great sandwiches(breakfast and lunch) and well worth the price!!!

I’ve always enjoyed the freakin’ enormous potatoes at Jason’s Deli, as well as their solid salad bar, complete with garlic toast(Sean’s favorite) and corn bread muffins(my favorite!), but upon my most recent visit I found that they’ve changed their pricing model a little bit and I’m not sure I’m a fan. Instead of being able to add the unlimited salad bar willy-nilly to your food order now, you can add a «side salad» which includes a much smaller bowl and only 1-trip for over $ 4. For the full $ 8-something, you can add on the unlimited salad bar. You also have to trade in your old plate for a new one even if you get the unlimited option now. I got a Plain Jane potato(not very plain, actually, as it comes smothered in cheese, sour cream, chives, and bacon bits) with a side salad and was sad to see how little I could actually fit into my bowl(esp. because $ 4 to add on isn’t really that cheap!). At least the muffins and the soft-serve ice cream at the end are still free! The potato was still pretty awesome, admittedly, and my fiancé got the french dip sandwich which I thought was very tasty. Jason’s did hit the spot, but I can’t help but feel they’re really cracking down on what made it such a hit with me in the first place — great pricing. Our meal came to almost $ 30, without me getting a drink, which for a lunch place that specializes in sandwiches and salads, does seem just a little steep.

After a long night shift I really wanted some eggs so I Unilocaled«breakfast» near me. Jason’s popped up and I had tried their food at another location in the past and was neither impressed nor disgusted, so I decided I’d give it a shot. What a huge mistake. This place opens up at 8am and I showed up around 8:35…staff were cleaning and setting up the dirty dining area… essentially none of the tables had been clean so if there were a lot of patrons, they would not have been able to sit anywhere. Fortunately for them, this place isn’t hopping for breakfast. Maybe that should have been my hint! I ordered a southwest wrap, wiped down my own table, and when it came it was a huge disappointment. The best thing on the plate was the strawberry they added as a garnish. The wrap looked pretty tasty but was completely tasteless. I am not one to add salt and pepper to my food but this needed it – badly! And the salsa… I don’t even know what to say about it — it was just watery tomatoes and onions… no flavor at all. Blah. What a disappointment… at least it was only $ 5.

Jason’s Deli is a tasty and affordable lunch option in Fairfax. I’ve been here a few times now and my favorite part of Jason’s Deli is the salad bar. You can order the salad bar as an option or what I like to do, order the manager’s special which is half your choice sandwich or soup, and the salad bar. The set up of the restaurant is like this: It’s like some places where you order at the counter. They have the more popular items posted on the walls. I’d recommend looking at the full menu so you can see all of your options. If you do the salad bar option(my suggestion), you get to build your salad. They have lots of healthy and tasty options for you to build the perfect salad. They also have different bread options including garlic bread. mini gingerbread muffins, and mini corn muffins(love the corn muffins)! The corn muffins are moist and delicious. I’ve had a few sandwiches and have tried their broccoli and cheddar soup. I haven’t had anything I did not like at Jason’s Deli. The space is clean, plenty of seating, and staff is friendly. Prices are decent– you can get a filling lunch for less than $ 10.00. Other bonus– free soft serve ice cream! Bring on the vanilla-chocolate swirl.

I work in event planning and I called today to get information on catering for a meeting. I haven’t ever ordered with Jason’s before so I just needed some information on what platters people typically order for the size group I have. I spoke with a woman on the phone who was EXTREMELY rude and impatient. She told me to go online and figure out what to order and that this is a restaurant and she doesn’t have time to help me. I’ve placed orders for catering dozens of times with different caterers, restaurants, delis etc. Never have a been given such an attitude when I was simply trying to get information. In the future I won’t be ordering from here. If this employee doesn’t want to deal with customers seeking catering, than she should pass them along to someone in the restaurant who does. No need for nasty attitude.

First time here and the environment seemed to be nice. You order when you walk in and then you take a number and pick your seat. When your food is ready they will bring your food to you. I tried the roasted turkey breast muffaletta. I didn’t realize it had olives on it. While I don’t hate olives, there was a lot on the sandwich and the taste was too overwhelming. I couldn’t really taste the rest of the sandwich much and I had to take out the olives. When they said layers of meat, I was expecting a lot more than what I got. The bread over compensated with the meat ratio. My friend got the salad bar which in my opinion looked to be very good. She says it’s one of the best salad bars in the area and it looked as so. My meal also came with soup and I got the chicken pot pie. It was a little mini one and it was pretty good. Next time I go, I’d try something else. They also offer free ice cream and other snacks.

Fast and good even at the lunch rush. Also has plenty of seating. Salad bar is also filling and one could make a meal out it alone.

Soup, sammies, salad. yes please! This trip I opted for a cup of cheddar broccoli because I knew I was having a big dinner. It was very tasty! I also had a few bits and pieces from the salad bar– it was all fresh and well stocked the entire visit. Oh and let’s not forget the free soft serve ice cream. hello! All in all a nice little trip, I will definitely be back to try a sandwich next time.

It was my first time here recently and the guy at the register was great on suggesting which sandwiches were good and explained the whole concept of the salad bar to me. My husband and I decided to go with the salad bar with a cup of soup which was really good. They also have soft serve ice cream that I had at the end which was a good ending to my meal!

This is one of those places where I order something I think will be delicious, only to be disappointed in it. It happened again tonight with a turkey rueben. Waaaay too much sauerkraut, way too little Russian dressing and bland turkey. Plus it was a mess — a sandwich not made with love. I think I’ve resigned myself to just stick with the salad bar in the future. Plus that free ice cream cone at the end. :) There are lots of kid options — new chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, pb&j, etc. I ordered my kiddo the mac-n-cheese tonight and was a little disappointed that it was of the Kraft variety. Eh. Lesson learned. In short, I prefer Panera or Corner Bakery over Jason’s Deli.

I have been here time after time. and this place is due for a review from me. Food — I admit, salad is not for me. However, their Chicken Club Salad(I was corrected by the cashier that its not Club Chicken Salad), was amazing! Their chicken was flavorful, tender, not dry. just perfect. I got to enjoy my healthy salad, and felt healthy! Usually, I get their chicken noodle soup, and it is just as good, especially if you are feeling under the weather. As for their salad buffet selection, it is pretty good. I love after the end of my meal, I would grab a cone of soft serve vanilla ice cream(free). I know, it defeats the purpose of healthy eating. Price — I order the lighter portion, that way, I feel that I did not pay a lot. The drinks are about $ 1.99 for a bottle of juice and/or fountain drink. Place — Spacious, but I prefer to stick where the the tables are in the front of the restaurant instead of the back. The back I avoid because the celings are low, and hence when it is busy, the noise level are more pronounced. It’s somewhat dark and I like to be in a place much more lit. Overall, great location. Good staff, fast service(they bring out your food to your table with the give number). My in-laws love this place a lot also.
